Particracy Assassinates Aloria's President?!

Postby The Mask » Tue Jun 14, 2011 9:33 am

I'm a bit shocked by this development. After experiencing problems with playing this game, I finally accessed Particracy and realized that Yasahiro Odane, the President of Aloria who is under my party, has been "assassinated" by the Particracy system.

And now, I also realized that "Deputy President" Eric Adams is taking over as President. I don't even remember having an Eric Adams in my cabinet, though I admit that I didn't fill up all of the positions in my Cabinet.

This leads me to a lot of questions:
1. Since when was this type of feature implemented?
2. Is this random?
3. Who is the "Deputy President"?
4. If, say, we have a monarchy, what would happen in that scenario?

1. Since the dawn of time, as long as I remember these news do happen.
2. Well, kind of I guess
3. Some random office and thus random person that the game creates, that apparently is second in line
4. The game will create an heir I think

This occasionally happens. In my recollection, although the game engine may make an announcement like this it does not formally remove the name of a President on the nation page, nor (as far as I'm aware) are players necessarily required to incorporate the (program-generated) news story into roleplay.

Technically, players are heavily encouraged to incorporate it in RP. The game always comes first.

Well, it did change the name in the nation page. That's where I first discovered the change. And since the change has been made, we're left with no choice but to adopt the name of the new President.

Interesting, never gave any attention to this feature really as its never had the pleasure in Dorvik (or at least since I've been in Dorvik).

Seems like a fun thing, though since it generates "English" names, it may put some RP and culture into jeopardy.
