Each organisation should have a leadership member now. I’ve tried to make decisions on the most plausible leader for each one. For example the bank of Ranjor went to the Likatonia Conservative Party since Ranjor is in Likatonia. If there are any queries regarding the decisions made please contact moderation.

@cm9777 You appear to have made an exception to the usual procedure here, since under the conventions set out in the Game Rules, (i) candidate parties are not meant to be promoted to leadership and (ii) parties are only meant to be promoted to leadership when the players controlling them specifically request it. I quote the rules below:

12.2 A leaderless organisation is an organisation with no active leaders. When an organisation is leaderless, a party with full member status may receive leadership status by posting a link to both their party and the organisation on the Organisation leadership requests thread. In exceptional circumstances, Moderation reserves the discretion to deny leadership requests.

Going forward, can I suggest being cautious about promoting parties straight from candidate to leadership status within organisations? My concern is that when word gets around that Moderation will promote candidates to leadership, it will become much more tempting for players to "hijack" organisations. By this, I mean, for example, that all they would need to do in order to take control of an organisation would be to wait until it is leaderless, and then suddenly apply to join the organisation (thus attaining candidate status) and request leadership. And so potentially, for example, you might have Moderation enabling the Communist League of Terra to be hijacked by an anti-communist capitalist party, or the International Monarchist League to be hijacked by a pro-republican party.

Before promoting candidates to leadership, maybe it is worth at least waiting a while, to see if any of the actual full members or leaders return?

Not necessarily expecting a response right now to any of these points, but I know Moderation is reviewing the rules right now, so I hope they will consider what I have said in the context of that.

@Phill Piratin

I understand your misgivings about the possibility of people hijacking organisations and this was on my mind while handling the rankings within these organisations. The promotions that were made were simply to ensure that each organisation has some sort of leadership and ability to make changes which was not originally possible due to no parties within the respective groups having the permissions to handle it. These promotions are in no way final but simply a measure to ensure that they remain operational. I have made all of these promotions queriable so that any players who have issues with them can express them and we can sort them out. Should leaders or full members return, they are welcome to contact moderation and sort out the respective organisations.

We will also take this into account when reviewing the game rules.
