A bill that cements the Communist Party has the sole political party in the nation (and allows players to form a faction of that party as a result if wanting to play there)

Could I make a binding version of this law?

I'm afraid we have to be sticklers about this, but every RP law must have a riding clause stating that it needs only a simple majority vote to be repealed. Other than that, we have no issue with this law and will approve it once resubmitted with the clause.

Just wondering. I know this has been the case, but wasnt it a majority of players as well? If there is just a simple ingame majority needed then the whole purpose of enforced RP laws is kinda lost. Just wondering though.

The Game Rules are clear about this though:

-- 5a. RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats;

2/3 of the players are required for Declarations of War (RP participation) and for Cultural Protocols.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, this law wouldn't be enforceable as a binding law, as there's no in game way to tell the specific religions of characters. Moderation would recommend passing it as a voluntary law (with the majority vote to overturn riding clause) and then letting us know here in this thread.

Same issue as some of the recent law requests, all RP laws must have a riding clause that they can be overturned by a simple majority in national legislatures for the sake of transparency. Bar that issue, we're fine with this law and will approve it if resubmitted with the clause.
