OOC:

Elections for the MUN presidency will soon be held. If you want to put forward a candidate for your nation (1 per full member) send a private message to Mr.God (Khaishan) on discord to do so. Also please submit your delegate distribution once all candidates are known or if you support Vittor Barra's reelection.

Currently the only candidate is Vittor Barra for reelection

Vittor Barra, President of the MUN

Parties of the MUNGA, First of all i would like to thank all of our member states for reelecting me for a second term at the head of this organization, I will continue to dedicate myself to the betterment of our organization and to protect and defend the integrity of our sovereign nations. Now i would also like to welcome our 2 new members Deltaria and Jelbania to the full MUN organization and hope we can work together to make majatra a safe and peacefull continent for all our citizens.

Now i want to address the parties of the MUN on some specifics regarding the recent opening of the MUN base in Dankuk and about the future of the Kalopian base. As it stands now we have established a military ground and naval base in Reunni, Dankuk. This base will allow the MUN to protect its assets in Dankuk and work closer together with Dankuk authorities in terms of trade and mutual defense. In addition to this base we have also signed a free trade agreement with the Dankuk government and have pledged economic aid amounting to 40 billion DRA over a span of 10 years to improve the infrastructure of the Imperial Union and invest in other public projects. Me and my office believe this base and the agreement between our organization and the Dankuk government is beneficial to both sides and we look forward to future cooperation between us.

Now with regards to the Kalopian NC base. Negotiations have completely halted and despite my continued efforts to close the base in the name of majatran security the authorities of Kalopia have not yet done so and i suspect they will not do so in the future. Unfortunately negotiations have therefor officially ended and the base remains open as of now.

My questions to the MUNGA is what they advise the next course of action should be and i would like to hear their opinions on our stance towards the NC as a whole.

Thank you

Herlkai Bókkatéz, Leader of the Majatran Reform Party (MRP):

President Barra, congratulations on your re-election and in brokering deals to bring new members to the organisation, enhancing our joint economic and security credentials.

In terms of Kalopia and the NC base there, we believe that all has been done to show that the MUN regards this as a security risk to all our member nations and we have democratically voted to demonstrate to Kalopia they cannot simply cherry pick the best parts and benefits of this organisation while allowing an organisation deemed a threat to Majatra by many nations to establish bases for nuclear capable aircraft on our doorstep.

The NC must also understand that the MUN will not sit idly by while it looks to encircle our member nations - for no clear purpose, may I add, other than it sees our organisation as a threat to its hegemonic ambitions.

I also applaud the opening of the base in Dankuk and greater economic and security ties with that nation. The MUN should look to secure more of these kind of deals to expand our key principles of trade and security overseas.

However, I ask the President to clarify the position in regards to the type of armed forces we will have in place at this base. There is some talk in national newspapers that stealth bombers with nuclear capability may be deployed and this has already been picked up by nations in the NC. Could the President clarify the situation please?

Vittor Barra, President of the MUN

Ofcourse i can mister Bókkatéz. My MAA supervisor merely stated that every option is on the table. I can assure all member states of the MUN that the executive is in no way planning to deploy nuclear capable bombers at the Reunni military base. In addition to this i must stress the fact that the MUN has not yet been agressive in any form. yes we did use our right to defend the security of our member states during the Kalopian question which is a RIGHT. Now the MUN since its creation has never threatened a nation with actually deploying nuclear weapons and only has expressed the possibility is on the table if the situation requires it. The NC on the other hand has repeatedly threatened the integrity of majatran nations by actually deploying nuclear capable craft on majatran soil and by their condescending tone towards us. The MUN is at foremost a political and economic union. The MAA is the military component of this union and also an essential part of defending it. But in no way are we planning the actual deployment of nuclear weapons in Reunni.

I hope to have answered you sufficiently
