And now, the Chairmanship of the MRSF falls to the Kalopian National Force, and its leader Andronikos Dorvikios decides not to change any policies of the MRSF at this time.

Badara Set to Join The MRSF

The al-Ittihad led government of Badara is set to join the MRSF, with the ratification of the Treaty set to occur in October 4248. Abdul Amari Delegate Leader of the Union, stated in a press release:
We are incredibly excited at the prospect of joining the Majatran Revolutionary Socialist Federation, in order to spread the word and message of the Badaran August Revolution throughout Majatra and across Terra. By working with our fellow Comrades in the MRSF, we come that bit closer to our dream of a Communist World Order.

Cobura Delays Decision on MRSF Membership
January 4252

Cobura's new anti-communist government has decided to postpone making a decision on whether or not to stay in the Majatran Revolutionary Socialist Federation. External Affairs Vizier Boutros Sawiris said the Council of Viziers would first carry out a thorough evaluation of the merits and demerits of MRSF membership as part of a general foreign policy review. This, given the increasingly complex and domstic political scene should take a very long time. Cobura joined the MRSF in April 4040 during the Derg government era, a decision opposed by many non-communists then and now. It is however less than clear if membership has harmed Cobura and many especially in the business community are deeply appreciative of the trade access that membership allows Cobura. Irkawans and Mallans are amongst the strongest supporters of continued membership, viewing it as an important buffer against any potential Zardic expansionism from the north while Coburan Augustans of course oppose the MRSF for this very reason, being more welcoming of Zardic influence in the country.

On the other hand, it still remains a communist superstate which many still dislike intensely for obvious reasons. The addition of civil war ridden Badara worries many policy makers in Sharba and the recent withdrawal of Deltaria and neverending political instability in Kalopia and Jakania make many wonder if the Federation can just keep tottering on or might collapse in a steaming heap of chaos. Capturing Sharba's dilemma in the anti-MRSF "Outside Review" foreign policy journal, the country's position was described as "trying to keep on milking an ailing cow until her very last drop and somehow avoid having her collapse on your back when she gives out."

Jakania officially leaves the federation as the Act of Independence is ratified by both chambers and signed by the president. Forty four years after the ratification of the federations constitution Jakania is once again a fully independent nation, a contriversial move that has sparked both celebrations and protests around a country marred with political instability and violence over the last few decades.
