Good evening everyone, it is 30 minutes past the hour and you are listening to Special Fridays with Jimmy Frenken, on TPR, Terran Public Radio.

Well happy Friday everyone, is it not nice that after a long stressful week to know that at long last the day we look forward to all week is here, and that TPR is here to provide you insight and pleasure so that you can sit back and relax. Now just a quick remind, Tim Runson will be back on Monday with normal broadcasting.

For this Special Friday, I have the pleasure of playing an interview I had earlier this week with the Governor-General of Hulstria, Friedrich Ewald II. This interview was exciting and very insightful into the nation of Hulstria and the current leader of one of the most powerful monarchies, and nations for that matter, on Terra. So here it is the interview I had with the GG of Hulstria.

Frenken: Governor-General, thank you for joining us and taking time off to speak with me as well with the listeners of Terran Public Radio. I'm aware you're a frequent listener?

Ewald: Yes I am! A very unique outlet you have operating here, it is certainly something different and exciting. It is a pleasure to be here.

Frenken: So you are the Governor-General, the Head of State of Greater Hulstria but you're elected and isn't Hulstria a monarchy? Can you explain this system a bit?

Ewald: Wouldn't mind at all. Hulstria is still a constitutional monarchy with the Emperor, currently Alexander I, as the hereditary Head of State that is ceremonial that follows the rules set forth by our parliament yet processes special powers as I'm assuming most constitutional monarchies have; the Governor-General is the elected Head of State that is the representative of the Monarch in political affairs, so basically my job is to not only represent my party but also lead the political atmosphere in parliament and the other political parties in any initiative. This is completely different from what the Monarch does, who carries on the tradition of remaining out of petty political fights and holds political opinion behind closed doors and does not represent any political parties; the Emperor is the unifying figure where in a position like mine you are almost certained to get involved in partisan politics no matter how much you want to be in a uniter! This post I carry today was created about 150 years ago and has worked pretty successfully. I think Luthori has recently undergone a system like this.

Frenken: Yes sir that is true, we have once again it seems gone back to the Viceroy system here, however, our Emperor still runs the Imperial Government and the Empire as a whole. Anyway, that was interesting; you get into partisan politics a lot?

Ewald: During my tenure so far, there has not been a large amount of partisanship and as for me personally I'm not one for conflict but I'm certainly not afraid to take the gloves when need be. I like to seek middle ground and centrist policies that meet both the needs of the respective sides of the debate.

Frenken: What about Governor-Generals past, is there any Governor-Generals you can think of that caused a bit of a stir?

Ewald: Yeah. You know, we've had some partisan Governor-Generals in our history. Nicolaus van der Burgh was probably one of the most partisan figures in 27th century Hulstrian politics; he personally lead a mass vendetta against my political party, the Fascist Authority Party, and for over 20 years left parliament strictly divided. He was a polarizing figure and was eventually defeated however. Another one, Anders Raske, who just passed away, was a bit partisan late in his tenure being bossy and close-minded to other political parties; his attitude eventually culminated into a large fight during the early 2760s and the end a relatively large turning point occurred in Hulstrian politics. I'm sure we've had Governor-Generals engage in partisan fights but these two I'm aware about the most.

Frenken: According to the Greater Hulstrian Chronicle, your nation's prominent newspaper, reported that you were upset with the abolishment of nuclear weapons within Hulstria recently and pushed through some legislation bringing back a pro-nuclear policy in a more moderate tone, ending what you called "radical pacifist policy". How did that go for you?

Ewald: Well, it actually went pretty well. I worked with some other political parties and at the end of the day got a centrist piece of legislation being passed, bringing back a form of pro-nuclear policy into Hulstria that gained the approval of well than more 2/3rds of parliament. The bill also re-established nuclear technology research that before my bill almost ruined the nuclear energy industry and put our country, that runs the majority of it's energy from nuclear power, in the dark literally. I'm glad the parliament came to their senses; I see this not only as a victory for my administration, which I'm sure if I did not go out in public and call out those parties who were pushing for that kind of non-sense we'd still have an abolishment of nuclear weapons and nuclear research, but a victory for logic and common minded people within the Imperial Crownlands.

Frenken: Who exactly pushed for that, the abolishments and what not?

Ewald: It was John Soto, the now former chairman of the Socialist Party of Greater Hulstria. He is a bit of hardliner, a far-left politician who unlike his predecessor was not a very likeable figure. He proposed a "Platform Bill" which contained over 20 articles that ranged from education to prison funding to military policy to economics, it was a mess; this bill was passed to much surprise of the Imperial Diet, it passed with only about 20 more seats than the opposition and only two parties that made up the majority voted in favor of this. Note this bill had neither debate nor discussion; it was clearly a radical bill that contained important policy. Soto I'm aware since losing his chairmanship of the SPGH because of this has been linked to some criminal organizations but I'm not fully knowledgeable at least for now at that. He is a very troubled person that put Hulstria through something it didn't need with this far-left legislation.

Frenken: Criminal organizations?

Ewald: It is the rumor around Kien but again I'm not fully knowledgeable on this, except the Chronicle to do some reporting on this.

Frenken: Well Governor-General, we will have to pay attention and see how it all unfolds. Once again I would like to thank you for your time and hope that you and the citizens of Hulstria continue to do well and prosper.

Ewald: Not at all, the pleasure was mine, and the same thing to Luthori and its citizens, along with all the listeners of Terran Public Radio.

Well, there you have it, and I would once again like to thank the Governor-General for taking his time to sit down and give the interview.

And as a special little treat for him, we here at TPR, would like to play a song that requested, from a band that while not what we normally play here on TPR, could some day be considered the pioneers of a new form of music.

So sit back and relax to this live recording from a performance given in Indrala last year of “Highway Star” by the mutli-international band Deep Purple.

Hello there, this is Tim Runson, and this is your community ideas station, TPR, Terran Public Radio.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and I just wanted to you let all know that starting tomorrow we will be having a new program called Tuesdays with Jackson. Tomorrow he will be interviewing a political annalist from Vorona, so things should be interesting and worthy to tune in for.

Tonight’s piece comes from the modern nation of Dundorf, during the 1800s when the King ruled with an iron fist of military and tradition. It would be during this time, that the King asked his Court composer to write a piece that would be loved by all and make his image better. This composer and his piece is what we play tonight.

Our composer this evening, Pachelbel, and the piece is best known by Dundorfian Children and adults as "Kings Lullaby", however it is known around Terra as Canon in D Major (Real title).

So sit back and relax to this classic.

Jackson Tuesdays

Terra how are ya today? This is Jackson Tuesdays on Terran Public Radio; I'm Dominic Jackson bringing you all the fun news and happenings going on. This is my first show noise of fireworks in the backround and I'm very excited on being on this wonderful station talking you; Jackson Tuesdays is a political news and talk program where we talk about the recent news from the very colorful countries that make up Terra as well as speaking to guests and political experts to discuss certain news depth. If this bores you citizens, just put it on mute and leave it on the program so we can get the ratings you know what I'm saying! I'm just kidding, we got a great line up before us, we're going to be going over some news obviously and we'll be talking with Peter Ozsvard, a Voronian political analyst to speak about the recent return of Konrad von Bavoria and the overthrowing of the communist Casiallas government.

I tell ya folks, what is going on with the Republic of Telamon? Has anyone been reading the newspaper of the Telamon Broadcasting Corporation? Telamon 10 years ago was the most quietest country now it was reported not too long ago that there was a spat between them and Lodamun which I might tell you is a very confusing matter; who knows, maybe someone from Telamon or Lodamun could come on this show and explain a bit. Telamon President Herman Gustav doesn't seem to mind taking part in interviews!

What about this, coming out of Vanuku? Vanuku Post Gazette is reporting that the "SlayCorp Technological Systems", a fairly large corporation within that nation, has opened up the 1st "fully robotic hospital" working off, which I quote from the paper, "artificial intelligence and formerly programmed machines working in unison off a SlayTech AutoMain 7.9 Supercomputer"; folks my jaw dropped when I read this, I do give Vanuku and the SlayCorp corporation credit for pulling of this massive feat but my goodness that is some science-fiction, inflated-budget action flick stuff and you know what robots are never protrayed as the good guys. Imagine the amount of human doctors and human nurses are going to be put out of a job because of this? I'm not against having "artificial intelligent machines" as assistants but having them run a fully operational hospital that again leaves human out of work? What if these robots go crazy in the hospital and start beating up grandma? Pepper spray don't work on metal!

Let's take a quick break and listen to this song, called Mr. Roberto made some 80 years ago, which ironically fits into the Vanuku-robot situtation;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBtZk13miAE

Alright here we are again back on the show; if you've been watching the Luthori Central News Network, the Holy Luthori Empire's national news station, it was reported that William, Prince of Orange, the heir to the Luthori throne as well as in Mordusia, got married! Well congratulations to him! Now its time for my interview with Peter Ozsvard, we'll be discussing the interesting current events in Vorona;

Jackson: As promised, I'm joined here by political analyst and Voronian national Peter Ozsvard to discuss with us the recent news coming out that island country; I have the recent publication of the "Vorona Post-Gazette" with me folks, the most read newspaper within the Archduchy of Vorona and it is being reported that the Communist government lead by Francisco Casiallas was overthrown not too long ago and Konrad I of the House of von Barvoria, the ruling royal family within that country has resumed control after some time being out of power. The Gazette says it was a long struggle and blood was shed; Mr. Ozsvard, first off thank you for being with us, what do you take of the return of the von Bavorians?

Ozsvard: It is a pleasure being on your show Mr. Jackson. Yes Vorona has been quite turbulent in the past decade or two; it was rocked with a secret communist takeover and the citizens were subjected to years of dictatorship. I'm sure citizens will be quite joyful that this dark period in their history is over and I have talked to citizens personally who are saying that they are happy that Casiallas is out of power. Some are very joyful that Konrad I is taking the throne there, re-introducing the Voronian monarchy though others are holding back judgement before they see action being taken by the new imperial government, they want to see if they can be stable or not before getting their hopes up. The economy of Vorona has shurken to new levels, many are curious to see what exactly the von Bavorias do. As for my personal take, I'm going to see what they plan to do first.

Jackson: From the text of the same report in the Gazette, the Voronian citizens were put through alot of troubles weren't they? What is this I hear about slavery in Vorona as well during this period?

Ozsvard: Yes, slavery was even legalized in Vorona under Casiallas and it the exact number of citizens put into slavery are unknown at this time but some inside the new imperial government are suspecting perhaps thousands we're subject to this kind of abuse. Hard labor and mandated prostitution were also legalized under the communist regime.

Jackson: A very dark time in Vorona. The Voronian Royalist Society, the ruling party within the Voronian monarchy and representative of the von Bavorians, have they done anything to heal the wounds left by Casiallas?
Ozsvard: Well they are currently going through some mass centralization legislation, trying to put as much power into the national government as a way to rebuild; local infrastructure is ruined thanks to Casiallas and centralization will have to be used at the moment.

Jackson: But aren't they also passing laws saying it is forbidden to criticize the government? Isn't that what Casiallas did? On the website of the Voronian government, you can see in one of their pieces of legislation there is an article making it illegal to criticize thegovernment. What do you make of this?

Ozsvard: There are still some people who are openly calling for another communist revolution, Vorona is still divided and the imperial government there has to do something to quell it. I suspect this will go on for a short time; you need to understand that society is very divided in Vorona and the imperial government is doing everything in it's power to heal those wounds as you said left by the previous dictatorship.

Jackson: Indeed; what has the international response been to the return of the von Bavorias? I know the International Monarchist League and the Imperial Crownlands of Greater Hulstria were very vocal in opposition to Francisco Casiallas, what are they saying now as well as the rest of the world community? I know the IML has declared the the House of von Bavoria as the legitimate monarchy there, what about Hulstria? The Foreign Ministry there has not released a statement yet.

Ozsvard: Of course the monarchists around Terra are glad to see Vorona back to a monarchial system of government. The IML was of course against the communist takeover but Greater Hulstria was very vocal against Casiallas government.

Jackson: That is right; they had several treaties with Vorona, a free trade argeement and a defense pact?

Ozsvard: Yes though Hulstria broke off those treaties once they heard the news of the communist takeover. To your last statement, yeah the Foreign Minister in Hulstria has not released a statement but it is known that Tokuro Tanemoto is happy to see Konrad and the House of von Bavoria back in power. I'm unsure why a statement has not been released but by looking at past statements by Tanemoto in the Greater Hulstrian Chroncile on this, you know his position.

Jackson: Well Peter thanks for joining us, you're our first guest! Feel proud!

Ozsvard: Yes yes, it was my pleasure. Thank you for having me on!

Jackson: There you have it folks, hope you enjoyed the program and I'll see you next Tuesday! I'm Dominic Jackson telling you to always stay connected with the news and always keep your channel right here, on Terran Public Radio.

It is 15 to the hour, and you're listening to your community idea's station, TPR, Terran Public Radio.

Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed my Jackson Tuesdays, this is Tim Runson here, and I just want to say that the first broadcast was spectacular, you definitely do not want to miss the next one.

Anyway, for tonight's piece we go to the nation of Lourenne back during the colonial era. The composer of tonight's piece did not actually write the song as a single part, for it is actually the end of one of the pieces he wrote. However, it became so popular, that he wrote this version and the rest they say was history.

The piece is the Can Can, by Jacques Offenbach, and it was during the time of the democratic reform movement, when all of Lourenne seemed to be in chaos. Rildanor was just about to deploy the Foreign Legion, and the Colonial Government was nothing more than fools it seemed running in circles to try to stop the chaos that was erupting all over the colony. Offenbach was a famous Rildanor composer who had moved to the colony several years earlier to, as he said, "provide culture to the colony and its people", and that he did do. However, he was unable it seemed to keep this money do to a serious drinking issue. His solution was a piece that would be played in every bar and saloon in the colony and the homeland. This was he his creation, and after the release of the piece and its sky rocketing success, he traveled from bar to bar hearing this song everywhere as people cheered and danced.

So get up and dance, to Jacques Offenbach's Can Can!!!!

Good evening everyone, you're listening to TPR, Terran Public Radio, and this is Tim Runson here.

Well it has been another fun filled week, and I urge all of you to tune in tomorrow for Special Fridays with my friend Jimmy Frenken, as he takes you to the last performance of the "Three Tenors" at Keymon, live.

Anyway, tonight's piece comes from the modern day nation of Telamon from the island of Migadon, back when it was known as the Merchant Republic of Migadon, and the powerful Doge ruled over the island. The year is 1723, and the Merchant Republic was strong with culture and most of all music. It was at this time that the Doge contacted a famous and well known aspiring composer and violinist at the time, Vivaldi, to composer a piece for his daughters wedding. The Migadon composer took the challenge on, and produced a violin piece that likes of which, by many music scholars, never been matched.

He titled the piece “Winter, due to the season it was written in and due to the fact that the wedding was taking place in the Winter. The recording we have here is done by one of the best well known String Ensembles in Terra, I Musici. Sadly, they have just recently lost one of their founding members, violinist Decon Krimpton, who was the second to last of the founding members to still have been alive. This group has been able to survive even though it now only has one of the original members still in it, with many of the current members being the apprentices of the former members. The leader and still surviving and member of the group, is a descendent of Vivaldi himself, Antonio Lucio, who is the main violinist in this recording and the main violinist of the group.

So sit back and enjoy this recording from 2777 of Vivaldi's ”Winter”, performed by I Musici.

Good evening everyone, this is Tim Runson here, I would first like to let everyone know that Jimmy Frenken was sick and so his program will be aired this Friday, and that we are sorry for the lack of anything on Friday.

As a quick reminder, tomorrow is Jackson Tuesdays so tune in and listen to another great broadcast.

Anyway, tonight's piece comes from the modern day nation of the Principality of Central Macon, on the date of October 9, 2584, the foundation date of the nation of Athlorcaea. The composer, Gioachino Rossini, wrote the song to commemorate the beginning of the new nation and the end of the Hutori Civil War. The piece was given the name, William Tell Overture, the reason for this was that during the War Rossini had meet a boy by the name of William Tell, who would run all over the battlefields shooting at the Hutori forces and trying desperately to do all he could do. Rossini said, "The boy was like a little rabbit running around the battlefield trying with all his might to just do something and this piece while upbeat to celebrate the new nation, reminded me of him running and so I named it after him." Sadly, William Tell never got to hear the piece due to dyeing 2 days before the War ended. However, the song has become even after the nation has been reborn once again as the Principality, as a national song of sorts telling all who hear it in the nation to keep running around and doing everything they can to help no matter how much of a difference it may make, as long as a difference is made.

So sit back and enjoy, Gioachino Rossini's William Tell Overture.

Jackson Tuesdays

Another Tuesday has fallen upon us Terra; sit back and enjoy yourself or if you're in the glorius lands of Kalopia, grab an ak47 and some iced tea because this is Dominic Jackson and you’re listening to Jackson Tuesdays here on Terran Public Radio!

Hope you all remembered to tune in; it has been awhile since we last were together and there has been so many things happening. Let me say before I head onto the body of the program, I have to say how it is a joy working here on this radio channel; the Terran Public Radio is a fine place. Also big shout to big man Jimmy Frenken who got a tad sick over the past few days; get well there Franken, I sure hope you're not playing hookey or anything like that! Nah get well Jim.

I have here yet again the Vanuku Post Gazette, which funny story I almost broke my neck trying to get it the other day at the market and yes I have to pay myself for these papers! So I was getting the Gazette, got it from the stands, and began to walk on until I must have stepped on a piece of cardboard laying on the ground and fly up in the air literally hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes. I was crying and laughing at the same time. Anyhow though yeah I have the Vanuku Post Gazette and it looks as if that guy, Zachariah Slayback, the head of the SlayCorp corporation in Vanuku that operates that robot hospital, resigned with some influence due to my recent radio broadcast! In his resignation statement he actually defended himself and said that the robots in that hospital won't beat up grandma, well its good to know government officials are listening to this program! I was half being silly and serious when I was going about on the Vanuku robot hospital; so Mr. Slayback sorry if you were offended, I was just being a mere good samaritan looking out for the grandmas of the world. I believe it would be a good investment to protect those grandma from robot malfunction; I mean grandma with no arms because the robots pulled them out of their socket can't pay you thus no profit! SlayCorp, if you're listening, put me up on the Board of Directors will you?

Let’s take a quick break; well be going over other news after this song called “Tuesday Afternoon” by the Moody Blues. This is Jackson Tuesdays on TPR.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kROlhnaYom0

What an awesome song; alright we’re back and going over the rest of the goody news going on in Terra.

I have another marriage announcement here; from the Rilandor Associated Press and the Greater Hulstrian Chronicle, the King of Rilandor Henri and Archduchess Matilda, the daughter of the Emperor of Hulstria, have married! Well congrats to them; hope everything works out well.

You know I record the Luthori Central News Network. The Holy Luthori Empire has erupted into fighting among some parties in the Luthori parliament; it seems as if the Imperial Viceroy of Luthori, Mr. Monsieur Dantes, has made many within Luthori, mainly in monarchist circles there, very angry on failing to keep up on some promises to restore some treaties that were repealed awhile back. The Imperial Seal-Bearer, the Head of Government basically, William Noventa got into a very verbal brawl with Mr. Dantes that lasted for some time to the point where the Viceroy had to be escorted out of parliament because of his outlandish behavior. Here is my take; you make a promise, make sure you can live up to it. There is no pride in doing the opposite; we’ll see what is in store this week.

What a surprise, Kafuristan has gone yet another government regime change. Today they are the “Maxamilian Company of Kafuristan”; apparanty such corporation literally bought the entire country I presume. Well, here is to Max and friends in that nuclear wasteland! We’ll be right back; enjoy this track, "Everybody Wants You"; kind of like Kafuri, everbody wants it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tWfde9T9O4

Welcome back folks. If you remember in my first broadcast we devoted an entire segment to discuss Vorona and the overthrowing of the communist government; Peter was kind to talk with us about the imperial reforms going on down there by Konrad I. Well guys it looks as if Vorona is back in communist hands; my god what is it with Marxists and Vorona?! Leave the poor country alone! How many times is Vorona going to be a fascist or communist state? Come on guys, you’re an island country, surrounded by water, go to the beach or something instead of trying to trying to ram tanks into the front of the capital building. In all seriousness, lets hope the citizens of Vorona won’t become subject to slavery yet again as they were under dictator Francisco not too long ago.

There you have it folks, hope you enjoyed the 2nd program and I'll see you next tuesday! I'm Dominic Jackson telling you to always stay connected with the news and always keep your channel right here, on Terran Public Radio.

It is 5 till the hour, and you’re listening to your community idea's station, TPR, Terran Public Radio.

Hello everyone, this is Tim Runson, I hope all of you enjoyed yet another great broadcast on Jaskson Tuesdays.

Tonight's piece comes from the year 2638, from the then Shattered Empire of Empire of Narikaton and Darnussia. As many of you out there know from your Terran History books, The Deimore Incident, where the Empire was brought to its knees in just 21 minutes, was a tragic and massive wake up call to people all round Terra about the issue of nuclear arsenals on the wrong hands. It was in the ruble of the Empire after this tragedy, and the founding of the new Republic of Darnussia that inspired Darnussian composer, Jonathon Gregor to composer this lovely and very moving piece to symbolize the feelings that the people were feeling in the nation after the incident.

The piece he named, "Into the Stars", is known for the feelings it has and the sad melody that builds until it triumphantly, as if Gregor was saying his people would also be triumphant, reaches the climax and ends with success and happiness.

So sit back and relax, to Darnussian Composer Jonathon Gregor's "Into the Stars".

Hello everyone, this is Tim Runson, and I just want to start off by reminding everyone about Special Friday, where my good friend Jimmy Frenken will be playing a concert from the "Three Tenors" which was suppose to go last Friday, but he called in sick. So we had to postpone it.

Anyway, for tonight’s piece we go to the year 1510, to what is now the modern nations of Hulstria and Kazulia, but back then were the new found and newly established Colonies of the Holy Luthori Empire on the continent of Dovia. This is probably the first "Western style" Classical piece written in the new world, in what at the time the main port city of colonial Kazulia. The composer, Antonín Dvořák, was a young and ambitious musician at the time, who had just recently come from the "old world" to be the new musical director of the city's Concert Hall. After spending about a year and a half traveling around the "new world", he sat down and began to write this symphony.

This first piece of his he ended up naming after the "new world", and thus is named, "The New World Symphony". This four movement symphony became highly famous for being the first Western Style piece to come from Dovia. It is because so that Antonín Dvořák is credited as being the first Dovian Master of Music by modern historians and musicians.

This recording is being performed in the Kazulian Music Hall, by the Hulstrian Imperial Symphony Orchestra at a celebration with the visitation of the Hulstrian Kaiser and the Kazulian Statssjef.

The conductor is Derek Gleeson of Kazulia.

So sit back and relax to Antonín Dvořák's "New World Symphony".

It is 45 past the hour, and you're listening to your community idea's station, TPR, Terran Public Radio.

Hello everyone, this is Jimmy Frenken, and I just wanted to say how much I missed being able to come on last week, but I was sick and just could not get to the station. A quick reminder that Tim Runson will be back on Monday, and Jackson Tuesdays on Tuesdays.

As for tonight's special event, I have the recording of last weeks live event in Keymon of the Final show of the "Three Tenors Terran Tour".
The Tenors are Carreras, Domingo, and the leader of the group Pavarotti which you heard not too long ago.

So sit back and enjoy, see you all next week.
