Jackson TuesdaysHello Terra, this is Dominic Jackson and we got a fine show for you today folks. Loads of interesting things have been happening since our last broadcast and will be talking about the how each will impact the political field and balance. We also have Cecil Smith with us to speak on the situation going on in Central Macon and Yoshikuni Taki to speak on the emergence of the hammer and sickle in the State of Indrala. So how about you join me? Sit back, grab some cherry juice or just go away if you’re a Kennedy because this is Dominic Jackson and you’re listening to Jackson Tuesdays on Terran Public Radio!
When I was saying a lot has been happening Terra, a lot has been happening. Military engagements, back and forth political bickering and new leaders have been emerging from the halls of legislatures across the globe; of course I’m sure everyone is aware this Indrala-Hanzen situation, you know, its causing some trouble on Dovani and people are upset, concerned etc and etc. I was for one completely caught off guard when I heard the news of the invasion of Hanzen, a small independent country situated in the south-west coroner of Dovani, by the socialist government of Indrala; if you’ve been watching the Indralan News Network, these socialist leaders have just been railing against just about every country you can name and have been slamming imperialists, preaching anti-imperialism etc. Usually when you have a government that is anti-imperialist and isolationist, you don’t think one day they’re going to wake up and decide to invade a country! Obviously a lot of countries are concerned by this, especially countries really close to Hanzen and territories that are held by outside governments; it has just got in that the Hulstrian Governor-General has spoke on his and has basically called them out, saying what they did was not very smart and noted at several points throughout his statement on how ironic this invasion was by anti-imperialists. The Governor-General mentioned other nations on Dovani who hold land there, though while he seemed to not name anyone but I presume he was speaking about Zardugal and Mordusia, both members of the Axis Agreement Organization, the top military organization on Terra right now; a lot of different players and interests are here I can tell you.
Hulstria is known to like to keep them to themselves, being pretty private so obviously this must have been important if you got second highest guy in government next to the Monarch, the Hanzen invasion as well calls from other leaders for them to speak on this, it must have been important. Now Indrala has not yet responded to this but knowing them they probably will; now what I’m telling you listeners is to keep a close eye on this, this will probably stick in the headlines for sometime, possibly for the remainder of the decade. I’m just very curious on why Indrala would invade Hanzen; are they trying to gain reputation? Muscle some other countries? Folks Indrala’s actions are as clear as day, their intentions and reasons are….well there seems to be no real reason why.
Let me head to some music before I take up too much of our broadcast; we will be having Yoshikuni Taki with us after this to go in-depth with me on this Indrala-Hanzen situation! We got a Bad Moon Rising out there, stick inside and stick here with Jackson Tuesdays;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BmEGm-mraEJackson: Alright we’re back here, hope you enjoyed the last track. As promised I’m joined here by Yoshikuni Taki, a former writer for the Indralan News Network and is actually from Indrala. Taki I’m so you could join us!
Taki: Ah yes thank you Mr. Jackson, it is my pleasure to be here.
Jackson: That is great; as you probably heard in the green room, I’m pretty into this whole matter. Would you mind informing our listeners on what exactly is a Hanzen and go into facts about this country?
Taki: Hanzen a deal between the nations of Indrala and Talmoria a long while back; the two governments decided to make that piece of land a “Free Trade Zone”, so more or less it was a giant port for goods and markets for the two countries. It was in place for a long time before a decade or two decades ago the two governments decided, under different leaders obviously, to free it and make it an independent nation. What they didn’t really do was make it really all that big of a deal; they said it was independent and let it go on its way unlike New Englia was very much taken care of by various nations during its first years of independence and a lot of time was invested in the growth of New Englia, unlike Hanzen. Don’t get me wrong Mr. Jackson, Hanzen has done well for itself retaining some of the markets left over by the free trade zone deal.
Jackson: So was the Free Trade Zone born out of economic cooperation or because a dispute?
Taki: The latter; Talmoria and Indrala said they had claim to Hanzen so they decided to instead make it a free trade zone for again markets and goods to prevent conflict. Of course back then Talmoria was in the position to actually show muscle and strength; today, mainland Talmoria can’t really do anything because of internal conflict but that is another segment!
Jackson: You got that right. So what caused Hanzen to become independent? Why the change of heart by Indrala and Talmoria?
Taki: Well you see during this time where Hanzen was in the process of becoming independent, Talmoria was going through internal political conflict and just got off of a civil war. They just lost their colonies to the Orange-Villyan branch of the Rothingren-Traugotts from the Holy Luthori Empire and to the Zardugal Federation; as a result they got Indrala to free up Hanzen and for the past decade or two it has been independent. I’m not sure if they had a change of heart, I think both sides didn’t really care for it that much either, unfortunate to say.
Jackson: To modern day Indrala; what do you make of the invasion of Hanzen?
Taki: For one it was unprovoked and very sudden as you pointed out.
Jackson: Why do you think Indrala did this, invading Hanzen?
Taki: Also, like you pointed out Jackson, they may have done this to gain reputation, show their might to the Dovani powers. They could have showed might to do something with their already existing colonies on Dovani but obviously they didn’t do that.
Jackson: So why are these anti-imperialists going out and very imperialist things, like taking over nations?
Taki: That I’m confused on; from recent articles they want to create a Federation of states of some sort of socialist countries or liberated colonies that will live under Marxism etc, the “Zen Socialist” lifestyle. I find it ironic and an oxymoron to the fact that a Marxist wants to create more government and more institutions, goes against the very simple principles of that ideology.
Jackson: Who knows Taki, we’ll find out, maybe or maybe not. Taki. Thank you for joining us here.
Taki: Yes, thank you.
Jackson: Folks stick around though ask yourself, with all that has been happening, Where Have All The Good Times Gone?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NiE1p0h7HMHey folks we’re back; once thanks to Taki for stopping by and providing that very helpful insight. Let’s see what else is in the news shall we?
We got some more news coming out of Hulstria; the Emperor there, well now the former Emperor, Alexander I died from a heart attack and now his son, Godric, is expected to succeed him. From the Greater Hulstrian Chronicle Alexander was apparently inspecting some he planted and had a heart attack; it says he experienced chest pain before experiencing the attack. He was rushed too the hospital but It must have been fruitless because he died of heart failure shortly after. I’m very sorry to hear about that, here to his son who will have to fill some pretty good shoes.
Oh lets look at Beiteynu, everyone just loves them. From the Beiteynu Broadcasting Channel, the country is going through some major capitalist and free market reforms there; the SekoCola Company is making reigns in Beiteynu as is several banking corporations. Hey, good for them, I just hope they don’t start building robot hospitals or anything like that; Beiteynu could very well emerge as an economic power if they play their cards right which looking at their history doesn’t happen very often.
I’m kidding Beiteynu! Believe me, the Kennedies have been in a lot worse shape these past few months than Beiteynu. If anyone remembers who the Kennedys are, they are the infamous inbred, not kidding, royal family that has particular ruled in nations like Jelbania. A long while ago, maybe a century and a half, they were assassinated and this caused their family to fall apart. They were erased from Terra political life; they re-emerged in Jelbania and took over Deltaria to bring it into Union with Jelbania. Lets just say guys nobody liked this; the Holy Luthori Empire along with other nations were ticked off by this and Luthori actually sent troops into Deltaria to suppress the Kennedys, which they did and it is safe to say we won’t see the Kennedy around for a very, very long time. You want to know a funny fact? The last Kennedy that bestowed upon us, his coronation robes, was a comic book hero’s jumpsuit. Yeah I’m King but I’m going to wear this suit I wore when I was 13 trick or treating, get a life you Kennedy people! Good riddance!
From the Zardic World Report, a fine newspaper, it looks as if the Zardugal Federation found a massive load of oil; I was amazed by this news report. Big props to Zardugal; hey Zardugal, mind sending some oil my way? Maybe give me a discount?
Speaking of the Zardics and the Zardugal Federation, from the same newspaper there was an article on Kostandian IV, which the headline was the “Last Best Hope”. I remember this man long ago, maybe in the 2770s when he was the Foreign Affairs Minister for Zardugal and I remember watching him on television conducting interviews etc, I’m going to say this guy is impressive. It is very interesting to watch him speak and speak on the issues; anyhow before I make it seem I’m trying to get him to hire me as his assistant, this article saying he was not running for the Director-General post in Zardugal after holding it for quite some time and said he would be stepping down from his post as the chairman of the Federal Republican Party. He also spoke about the vacant Field Marshall position within the Axis Agreement Organization, the largest political and military organization right now but did not say if he was going to be Field Marshall and take up the post. Like him or not but has done quite a lot for Zardugal, I know he’ll remain active in Zardugal though it quite honourable of him to step aside for a new generation, new leadership to take their own reigns. Good for him, good to luck to em!
One last break, when we come back we got Cecil Smith to discuss what is going on in Central Macon; this is Jackson Tuesdays, stick with us.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hwE0slNd3YJackson: Welcome back; as promised here is Cecil Smith, a journalist in Central Macon that has been following the recent royal shake ups in Central Macon which we will talk about. Mr. Smith, how are you today.
Smith: Jackson I’m going very well, I’m doing better just being here!
Jackson: Haha you want to wipe some of that brown stuff of your nose Mr. Smith? I’m just playing around there Cecil; lets get down to business. Now from what it is reported out of Central Macon is that the country is going to be split up into five Kingdoms with a King of Kings that will lead all of them? Am I getting this right?
Smith: Yes; from the Act of Union of 2814 Central Macon is now five royal houses instead of the House Lusk, the traditional ruling family within the country, with a King of Kings yes at the top of the helm. The head King is elected and is chosen from one of the five houses and he serves for life; when he dies, the cycle repeats itself.
Jackson: Five royal houses? Don’t you think that can cause instability and not very much unity?
Smith: That is a concern; when you have 5 major royal families in one nation and only one can be Emperor, which has to be voted on by these families, you’re going to run into roadblocks and some serious problems. Who says these families will be united 20 years from now, there may be a massive power struggle and the nation could be tossed into civil war.
Jackson: What about the House Lusk, what happens to them?
Smith: Well, in the Act of Union of 2814, it stated that any House Lusk member living in Central Macon upon passing of that act would be killed on sight and/or without trail. This alarmed the House of Rothingren-Traugotts in Hulstria who alerted the International Monarchist League and offered the House Lusk political asylum at one of their residences in Hulstria until they could return back; to my knowledge they accepted. However the King of Rilandor has managed to speak with the group behind this 5 kingdoms concept and worked out a deal to reverse that line in that legislation to get the House Lusk back into Central Macon.
Jackson: So they are back in Central Macon?
Smith: Once the 5 Kingdoms approve, they will re-enter.
Jackson: Why this sudden change in government? The House Lusk has governed very well.
Smith: As with the Indrala-Hanzen situation, this was very sudden and out of the blue. Many were caught off guard by this; hopefully with the House Lusk returning to Central Macon, they may bring back some sense into the country and see if they can do any reforms in that government system that is doomed to fail.
Jackson: The world will be watching Mr. Smith; I want to thank you for coming on and we’ll invite you back when more is happening in Central Macon alright buddy?
Smith: Sounds good; thank you for having me.
Jackson: Thank you folks for listening. I'm Dominic Jackson telling you to always stay connected with the news and always keep your channel right here, on Terran Public Radio.
