President Harry Winchester

Firstly, may I on behalf of the Democratic Republic of Aloria thank you and your nation for your very warm welcome.

Secondly, with regards to potential allies on the international scene let me say that we consider Rutania our closest ally throughout the events you described you have always been a supportive and helpful ally and for that we are extremely grateful. Our Foreign Minister Ava Plant has drafted a treaty cementing our strong economic links and has been ratified by the Alorian parliament

We intend to begin closer co-operation with the Axis alliance and at this moment a bill is before the Alorian parliament to ratify the Axis treaty.

Our main goal is creating a positive environment to begin international trade. Aloria has a strong history of international commerce, especially since the foundation of the Rockygroup incorporated, one of the largest multinational corporation’s in existence on Artania.

We believe that creating economic partnerships leads to political partnerships and promotes peace. We wish to extend our hand in friendship to Rutania and other nations who share similar views in creating a free and fair market.

We welcome your support with regards to international integration and any we would welcome any advice on other potential allies who share our aims.

William Instrell, Minister of Internal Affairs
Statement answering Christina J. Coggin

The Liberty party in their recent statement attacks our parliament, however, the Conservative party has been given a mandate by the Alorian people to govern the country and our party has the interests of the Alorian people as paramount importance.

We fail to see how accusations of 'going crazy with power' serve the people of Aloria well, and if the Liberty party wish to negotiate policies with us we would suggest that they contact us directly rather than attempting to bring our name, and the name of our government and parliament into disrepute.

Their actions in releasing such a statement show that they do not have the interests of the Alorian people at heart and are using whatever means to pursue their radical agenda that will only harm the people and business of Aloria.

The people of Aloria strongly favour devolution and powers being given to local governments not a centralised state and we urge the Liberty party to research all the opinion polls which support that view.

The Liberty party accuses us of single-handedly making decisions for the nation, however, we are the government and that is our role. As for the role of opposition parties, this comes from Aloria's constitution: "

(1) The opposition parties shall play a constructive role to ensure that the government and the
ruling parties function in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution, provide good
governance and strive to promote national interest and fulfil the aspirations of the people.
Their aim must be to make the Government responsible, accountable and transparent.
(2) The opposition parties shall have the right to oppose the elected Government and to question the Government’s conduct of public business."

We have no issue with our policies being question, however, attacking us as power crazy violates article 1 of our constitution. We offer the Liberty party a chance to meet the Prime Minister to discuss any issues with our governance they may have when he returns from Rutania.

Our party motto is Freedom for All, and everyday this we strive to achieve.

Carme Pinto, Infrastructure and Transport Minister has released a statement on the recent unrest fuelled by the Liberty and Socialist Alliance parties on behalf of the Government of Aloria.

"The recent acts of violence do nothing for the stability of Aloria and whilst we have no concern with legitimate democratic protests, specific agitation aimed at trying to overthrow an elected government by the people is simply wrong and can not be tolerated by any legitimate government.

We urge calm and restrain to be shown by all parties and we strongly welcome Mr. Vilna's, Chairman of the Fatherland Union, support in this matter and we would like to take this opportunity to announce a an era of close co-operation between the Conservative party and the Fatherland Union party.

All those who break the law in causing destruction through rioting will be punished. We ask that all those who have concerns to use the proper democratic systems to express them.

The vast majority of Aloria’s citizens gave us a mandate to govern and by engaging in acts which harm the stability of this nation, these agitators are disrespecting the choices of the people."

Trade and Industry Minister, Manel Oller, has released statement on behalf of the government of the Democratic Republic of Aloria regarding the New Socialist Alliance.

We must remind the New Socialist Alliance party that all strikes in Aloria are now illegal, and that by encouraging workers to go on strike for their own party political reasons shows the general populace of Aloria that this political group does not represent their interests.

We feel that this move is nothing short of outright provocation and an attack on the legislative system of Aloria that the Conservative party strenuously upholds.

Since the New Socialist Alliance is attempting to use trade unions as a vehicle to overthrow a democratically elected government, we are considering placing before the parliament of Aloria legislation that would outlaw trade unions. We sincerely hope that this will not become necessary but we have the interests of Aloria in mind and will draft the law if it becomes necessary.

Encouraging people to break the law, laws which were agreed in the Alorian parliament, shows how irresponsible and dangerous the Socialist Alliance is. We urge the majority of Alorian's, who do not support their cause, to remain calm and not allow their radical dogma to spread and divide our great nation.

The Prime Minister James Grewer and the Alorian government, have complete faith in the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Carme Pinto.

Aloria's Prime Minister James Grewer headed an emergency cabinet meeting of the government today in order to discuss the illegal strike action taking place across the nation.

After several hours of detailed discussion the government has decided to mobilise the military to step in and cover essential services such as the fire brigade and rubbish disposal.

The cabinet has also decided to go ahead and put forth legislation to the Alorian parliament that would, temporarily, make trade unions illegal in an attempt to stop them being taken over by socialist agitators.

At the end of the emergency meeting, Prime Minister James Grewer released a statement saying:

"The police have been given strict instructions not to allow any further occupation of business offices. With the army now mobilising to take over critical services normal services should resume shortly. It is important that people remain calm in the face of this blatant socialist agitation and I have faith in every Alorian citizen that they will endure this short-term minor inconvenience."

Minister for Justice, Ferran Leoni has released the following statement regarding the illegal strike action taking place across the country instigated by the Socialist Alliance party.

"We will not bow down to pressure from protesters and agitators acting in an illegal manner. The Alorian military has been mobilised to take over critical services and the disruption to the average citizen will be small.

We are certain that the protesters and the Socialist Alliance party will reap what they sow in the upcoming parliamentary and head of state elections next year.

The Alorian government greatly welcomes the support the Liberty party has given in this matter, and although we rarely see eye to eye on policy issues, we are glad that they recognise the need for issues to be raised in the proper democratic way."

June 29, 2820. The delegation has arrived in Port Nelson.

A motorcade of limousines pulls up to the Rutanian Presidential Palace. The Alorian delegates step out the vehicles and proceed up the stairs to the front of the palace where President Durden greets them. They pose for pictures in front of Alorian and Rutanian flags. After this, the Presidents and Prime Minister stepped into the palace's press wing for a brief press conference before going inside for private discussions about the futures of Aloria and Rutania.

President Durden gives a statement before taking questions from the media:

"Firstly, I would like to thank the honourable Alorian delegates for accepting our invitation to visit and I am honoured by their presence in our nation. Our friendship has crossed many centuries and we look forward to continuing this in the future.

"Our economies are intertwined, our nations share a democratic heritage, and our international goals are similar. I hope we can use these facts to go out and change Artania, and the world, together.

"Again, I would like to thank President Winchester and Prime Minister Grewer for coming. They are welcome in my home here any time.

"Now, we will take a few questions before we get to pressing matters."

President Harry Winchester

"Thank you very much for your welcome President Durban. I speak on behalf of the Alorian people when I say how grateful I am at your kind and pleasant welcome to your great country.

I see our relationship with Rutania as a very positive template for how two nations can come together and share similar goals and aspirations and work together for the greatness of both nations.

Our main aim is for the prosperity of our two nations and we hope that this visit will help cement good working relationships. We consider our friendship with your people as a model which can be spread around Artania.

As you know we have large supplies of natural gas in our nation, which thus far have not been fully exploited. We are looking towards a partner with whom we can fully develop this resource and as our closest allies we thought we would offer you this chance since you already have a natural gas trade treaty with ourselves."

President Harry Winchester, Video Adress to the Democratic Republic of Aloria from his visit to Rutania

We urge the people of Aloria to stay calm and hold their nerve against these agitators.

These protesters call us oppressors, yet it is they who oppress the Alorian people by threatening your services and your livelihoods. They threatened to bring down the Alorian economy, yet it is your economy they threaten. It is your jobs, your families, your livelihoods that they risk for their own political aims.

They wish to undermine the democratically elected government, the government that you elected, to fulfil their radical aims.

We, the government of Aloria, say no to these harsh unlawful actions and we know that you too oppose them.

We believe passionately in freedom for all, up to and including peaceful protests, but we cannot allow this small minority of rioters acting in an unlawful manner to continue attempting to hold the government over a barrel."
