Pauline Bernette Stephenson, Leader of the Conservative Party Issues Statement on the Neptune Scandal

At a party conference held in Callipoe, Krentori the leader of the Conservative party Mrs Stephenson held a press conference to denounce political corruption and bribery claims. She was quoted as saying 'In politics what people desire the most is truth and honesty, not deception and lies. We must ensure that all politics, political parties and political leaders are above reproach. The Neptune affair has been disgraceful and had a devastating effect on the image of some politicians in the public eye. '
She went on to state 'Where evidence of impropriety has occurred, the person or persons involved must face justice. Denials and accusations in Aloria's parliament does nothing to reveal the truth.'.
The statement comes after former President Arroyo lashed out in parliament accusing deputies of 'hypocrisy and cowardice'
'True cowardice comes,' stated Mrs Stephenson, 'from disguising the truth. Now is the time for honesty.'

July 2767

The leader of the conservative party, Pauline Bernette Stephenson, has made a pre-election speech endorsing President Washington of the Centre Democrats party for the office of president.

'We must fight the forces of those who wish to turn back the clock, to return to an era of spiralling government spending and rising personal and corporate taxation. We cannot allow other political forces to cut off foreign investment and stiffle trade, industry and enterprise in our nation. We feel that this endorsement is best for the people of Aloria and the Conservative party. '

The conservative party is defending a 5 seat pluarality in the Krentori State Legislature and hopes to become the largest party in Kurmal state. Another objective is to make inroads in Ultran, Gavonshire and Sildar where in August 2763 only one seat was taken by the Conservative party across the three states.

The Conservative Times (A newspaper owned and run by Conservative Party members) has published this list of apperent election objectives of the Conservative party in the forcoming elections. Although ambitious, they are perfectly within reach and would be a milestone for the party if they were met.

Retain pluarilty in Krentori State Legislature
Gain pluarality in Kurmal State Legislature

Krentori 5 seats increase
Kurmal 5 Seats increase
Ultran 15 seats incrase
Sildar 5 seats increase

Conservative Party Leader, Pauline Bernette Stephenson, Releases Election results Statement Aug, 2767

I would like to thank all our supporters, party workers and voters for their continued support and hard work resulting in the Conservative Party obtaining a pluarlity in the Alorian national parliment. These results are fantastic, and vastly better than we ever dared hope. The full results including new members elected to parliment can be found below.

Many thanks,

Conservative Times Editorial/Press Release March 2770

As laid out in the party constitution, a leader can only serve a maximum of eight years as party leader. So it is with great sadness we see the retirement of our first, and most eminent leader, Pauline Bernette Stephenson. Not only has she served her party well, she has served the people of Aloria well and led them into a new era of prosperity.
She will not be retiring from politics though as she is standing as candidate for the Head of Government minister and continues to serve her constituents of the Krentori state seat she represents in the Alorian parliament.

We would like to give a big congratulations and warm welcome to Kevin Lee who will be replacing Mrs. Stephenson as Leader of the Conservative Party on April 2770. He currently holds a seat in the Alorian parliment
representing Kurmal.

Another big welcome is due to Ralph Rogers, the new conservative party deputy leader who will take over his role in April 2770. He holds a seat in Krentori for the Alorian parliament.

Pre-election Conservative Times Newspaper Editorial July 2771

“Our objective in these upcoming elections is to maintain plurality in the national parliament and in the states of Kurmal, Krentori and Ultran“said the Conservative party leader, Mr. Kevin Lee in an election rally in Port Aloria, Krentori state.
That objective in its entirety may be difficult to meet, especially in the state of Kurmal where the Conservative party has a razor-slim majority of just two seats ahead of the Socialist party. The party should hold Krentori and Ultran comfortably with the substantial majorities they hold in those two states. A party aim must be to increase their representation in Sildar state, the only disappointing result of the superb August 2767 results for the party.

Addressing the recent statement by Craig Matheson Leader of the United Freedom party which criticized the polices regarding morality put forth by the Conservative party, Mr Lee said “We represent the silent majority of Alorian’s, who have been pushed aside to force through their liberal agenda. The vast majority of Alorian’s believe in family values, and the rights of marriage staying sacred to heterosexual couples. We do not wish to harm homosexuals, but we cannot allow marriage to be violated in this way. We are confident that the people of Aloria support us in this respect and in the voting booths next month will return a Conservative government.”

Full election results will be release on August 2771.
