Kuznetsov Addresses Deltarian National Forum

Beluzian Foreign Minister, Yuri Kuznetsov, addressed the Deltarian National Forum on matters relating to the recent conflict between Davostag and Barmenia.

He brought up points made by the leader of the Karav Dynasty, and made reference to the order of events which took place, showing Barmenia as the aggressor.

Deltaria decided to delay their involvement in the conflict until further consideration.

3-Way Lock

Following the most recent election results in Beluzia, all big noble families have 26 seats. It was a 3-way tie among the Karavs, Williams and Stantons. Smaller noble families combine to make up the other 21 seats in the federal council.

The Karavs expect to host guests from the Tela House of Arindi, on their formal visit to Beluzia.
Kristov II's recent rise to the throne raised many eyebrows. Compared to his father, Kristov I, he is said to be very autocratic and assertive.

Blue Oligarchy Causes Deadlock

Legislature.JPG

The Houses of Atreides, David, and Stanton, together form the blue oligarchy.
The Nickstov oligarchy, which the incumbent monarch is currently a part of, finds themselves in deadlock with the Blue oligarchs.

The Blue oligarchy controls 50 seats, and the Nickstov oligarchy controls 49.
This 50-50 draw is caused by the High Count being on the side of the Nickstov.

Blue Coup Fails

The House of David aligned itself with the Karav dynasty in supporting the head, Kristov II, for the throne. The Beluzian oligarchy, though divided, is still functional, however coalitions have made the division more weight on relations between many nobles.

The Tory rebels staged election fraud in April, while Blue Coalition forces ousted Karav loyalists from their offices in Iker Ado and Parlos Decina. Voter turnout dropped to miserable levels falling below 60%, and the Karavs became the least powerful family in a matter of days. The government claims this is a result of the election fraud.

Kristov II, the High Count, considered abdication, and decided to take the fate of the throne to the polls in December.
Surprisingly, he received nationwide support for the throne, showing that there was no need for an election; it only proved his legitimacy as the hereditary monarch, something the IML has been pushing for in Beluzia, to ensure the Karavs remained in power, despite their strong Lefist ideologies.

The Karavs, however, failed to uproot the Atreides garrisons in Iker Ado and Parlos Decina, and Coleshire Mining (a company) was handed over to the House of Atreides immediately after the Karavs moved to Bailon. The Karavs and the Atreides family each hold 6 of the 20 seats in Iker Ado's legislature. Karav loyalists are said to still have control of the palace, and pro-Karav rallies are being held in the centres of Karavshire, Port Karav, and rural farm settlements.

Tories Seize Throne as Royalists Run

Tory rebels, known for attacking children and torturing patients in hospitals, have seized the Beluzian throne. The Karav family is still said to be temporarily residing in the Colony of Bailon. The legitimacy of the Tory rule, associated with the Stanton family, is still in question, and there are rumours of election fraud or even a finally successful attempt at coup d'etat, but Kristov II, the recently dethroned Count, has no intentions of launching armed attacks against the government.

There have been reports of rural mobs, mainly made of farmers and miners, clashing with Blue Coalition government forces since the results of the election were released. Shortly after those reports, communication with media stations in Eastern Beluzia became difficult, and eventually stopped. It is believed that Blue Coalition forces possibly attacked the building; these are mere speculations, however.

The recently dethroned High Count, Kristov II, still stares his opponents in the face as they sit in the federal council for the first time since the election. The main issue, now, is a set of 2 proposals: a cabinet proposal for a purely blue coalition and a budget proposal which has received heavy criticism already.

Royalists Regain Power

Massive riots erupted across Beluzia as anti-Blue protestors marched in the streets demanding fair elections and a less totalitarian government. The Blue coalition has relied on election fraud for their partial victories over the past few years. There were major clashes in city centres and main road stretches in rural areas. Observers compare the events to civil war. A more detailed report follows.

Map of Beluzia before the riots

Royal Coalition armies boarded boats from Bailon and disembarked on the coasts of Eastern Beluzia to unite with their allies on the mainland. Supply routes for arms and food were made quickly, and the clashes began. Loyalists of the Williams family quickly recaptured Iliathar and established urban camps before deciding to head North and East.

Unmarked armed groups surprised Blue Coalition forces in Negunia. They were clad in green, and they jumped out of the valleys to surprise the Stanton loyalists. There was a clash among students of Stantonshire University; many were injured, but no-one has been confirmed dead. There were no guns used on the university compound.

In Parlos Decina, miners striked until the arrival of Count Kristov I, a prominent member of the Karav dynasty. He received a warm greeting from them as he gave a speech and encouraged rebellion against the Blue coalition.

In Iker Ado, armed farmers emptied their guns on Blue coalition forces, pushing them back into the city centre of Karavshire. The farmers rejoiced as they recaptured their land, and protestors in the city centre threw glass bottles at the Blue coalition forces entering. In Port Karav, dockworkers were on strike until they saw representatives of the Karav dynasty entering the city with red flags. Kristov II returned to claim his estate. He entered Karav Manor after passing through crowds of loyalists in the streets.

The Blue coalition cabinet is still in control of the civilian government, but there are rumours of armed marches to office of the Prime Minister. Effigies of Tory leader, Billy Ray, are being burned in the streets.

Meanwhile, bearers of red flags are not upset at the election results. The Karav Dynasty endorsed Alexander I for the throne.

Blue Coalition Slapped With Corruption Charges

Blue Coalition political figures are being charged for corruption.

The Stantons already faced charges for indecent language in 3227, and they face similar charges again in 3330, along with the mentioned corruption charges.

Tory Terrorism Exposes Itself - Again

There are plans underway for the construction of an International Resource Centre, which would be set beside the World Conference Centre. Users of the World Conference Centre would have access to the Resource Centre.

Apart from the facilities provided at the International Resource Centre itself, Beluzia is willing to send analytical experts overseas to assist other nations with their finance, military and political affairs.

Before the construction of the World Conference Centre, Beluzia already held a post-conflict conference.
It was in memory of that time, when George Fain had to leave to draft something, that the Beluzians came up with the idea.

There have been no suggestions for the naming of the Financial Resource Centre.
The Military Resource Centre will be named after Deltarian Commander-General George Fain.
The Political Resource Centre will be named after former High Count, Kristov I.

So what's with the headlines?
The Stanton Family, and its sponsored Tory terrorists, are opposing the idea, and it is unclear why, but Count Kristov II said:
One day Beluzia will be the enemy of the world, and that day is the day the Tories are the only people left here.

His remarks were in relation to the intolerable behaviour of the Stantons, and the fact that Beluzia will crumble when the Karavs, and other active public figures, leave.

UFO Sighting in Northern Beluzia

Affiliated media organizations are reporting UFO sightings over Stantonshire. To our knowledge, the military has shut down the city; it will be quarintined until they're finished cleaning up whatever might have crashed. Because the area might be dangerous, the Northern borders (into Luthori and Rutania) have been closed. No-one is sure exactly what flew over the city with such a bright light, at such an amazing speed, but the military will clean and clear things up for the people's safety.

Tory Party Members Arrested, Blamed for UFO Scare

The title says it; members of the Stanton family were arrested in connections with deaths resulting from the crash in Northern Negunia. "They failed to take precautionary measures for their people and we could see some of them (the Stanton family members) in pain, so we had to take them out of their misery and arrest some of the others" a police officer said.

After the UFO sighting, police officers locked down the city of Stantonshire to conduct investigations. They have withdrawn and everything is back to normal.

Many Stanton family members never made it to the electoral offices on nomination day, so they never had enough legal candidates for the federal council in the most recent elections. Several electoral offices in Negunia were also closed, under the government belief that their lack of regulation allowed election fraud when the Blue Coalition won control of Beluzia.
