The Great Empire of Indrala also concurs that the Terran Stock Market should be placed in a neutral zone, of which Mordusia is the only one. Our respective governments could ask the Mordusian government to allow for the Terran Stock Market to be exempt of all taxes and regulations, as it would be an international organization.

However, should this not work out, I would suggest locating the Terran Stock Market to a country with as minimal taxes as possible.

Sincerely,

Li Shen

Beluzia is a neutral nation with no ties to the ATR, IML, or PATO.
Surely, the IML chooses to recognize candidates to the throne. The current holder of the throne, Kristov II, is a member of the Karav Dynasty, which was already recognized by the IML. This obligates the Karav dynasty to act as an ally of the IML, but Beluzia, itself, is not aligned to the IML through treaties, and the national army will not be mobilized unless Beluzia is threatened.

The stock market could be placed close to the World Conference Centre.

While it is true the Free Republic has seen a leftist coalition in power these last years that has increased certain taxes and recently voted to regulate Mordusian stock markets, the economic climate in our country remains fairly free and open. Mordusia has an open border policy, welcomes the international community (like the justice commissions following the Talmorian Civil War and the Keymon War) and keeps a spirit of free enterprise.

The success of the leftists' coalition can be seen in the the light of the more closed economies of South-Seleya, to which Mordusia continues to be an exception.

Our economy is stable, taxes not too high (government share of GDP is at 18%), and the Government has seen several unitary cabinets from both left and right and has avoided a political crisis. We are a vibrant democracy that proves negotiation to a certain degree prevents a country from falling into economic obscurity.

I would be happy to answer any questions.

Mordusia isn't even active on this stock market. Placing the stock exchange in Port Andalay makes sense because it's already a leading financial center and has been at peace for centuries

Arthur Pillum:
That is exactly my point! Mordusia is not on the stock market. That way it will be even more neutral than it already is (despite the fact that it is probably one of the more neutral countries in the world). Also, as may be seen by the neutrality pact as well as other treaties, Mordusia has a strong backing by the ATR, which is very powerful. Also, Morduisa is not stronger economically that Lodamun, which would make it less of a target for an attack based on that premise.

A peace provided by a strong military and not a piece of paper to be shredded by Terra's next crazed despot.

Arthur Pillum:
As stated before, Mordusia is party to a neutrality pact which makes so that 25 nations are not eligible to attack, along with two more pending. And surely, if a "crazed despot" did come to Mordusia, would the international community not step in to remove him, as has been done in the past with other countries? We also than the Premier of Mordusia for gracing us with his presence, and for his willingness to answer questions.

Sir, I must protest, our Neutrality Pact is not a piece of paper to be shredded by a crazed despot. In fact, I am proud to say our Republic has remained Free and Sovereign for centuries. Our neutrality is supported by dozens of nations and we have taken our responsibility toward the international community by installing an International House of Justice in the picturesque town of Gift of Zechariah. As for our military: Sir, I do not see what this has got to do with hard cash and the reign of economics. Mordusia's military is in a very healthy state, having been modernized these last decades. However, the military is not our primary business --- money is. We have been inviting people from all countries to come and live in our beautiful Free Republic. Backed by a stable democracy, we offer a friendly climate.

Just put the stock exchange where the infrastructure already exists - Lodamun.

Again, Sir, these accusation bring us nowhere.

Foreigners can't control majorities in Mordusian companies. Modusia has corporate taxes. Your country passed a law to REGULATE all stock markets in your country while the issue of where to locate the exchange is still being debated. These are the facts.

If Lodamun desires for the Terran Stock Market to be headquartered in Lodamun, why not create a treaty of neutrality? That way, the Terran Stock Market will be located in a neutral nation with a deregulated economy and home of the LOD.

The above solution would solve many quarrels.

I honestly do not see how these would contradict the location of an international stock market in the Free Republic. If you are simply not even prepared to let the Mordusian Government make a good proposal for the settlement, why having a debate in the first place?

You will see, Sir, Mordusia is much more flexible and willing to listen to the needs of the international community than your understanding of our country permits.

OOC: The Terra Stock Market has been updated from 3316-3318
http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Terra_Stock_Market

I am concerned with the bickering between companies on where the Stock Market Center should be located. I have no objections to either Mordusia or Lodamum, but Barmenia would be out of the question and Davostag too would not be a good choice due to the current war. I would expect at least one company from Mordusia to participate though.
