The First Session of the Council of Majatra
From all across the continent the members of the Union of Majatran Nations assembled. The delegates shuffled about, took their seats and arranged their papers. The UMN was created years ago to provide a peaceful forum for Majatran nations to air their grievances and prevent armed conflict. Yet on the eve of another possible war the UMN has been fully activated and its members called to order.

Cobura has sent Timothy West to the meeting. He is the former foreign affairs minister of Cobura and the nominee for the same position.

EDIT:The cabinet proposal has passed and Timothy West has taken office again as Foreign Minister.

The Repubblica Istaliana (Istalia) sends his Foreign Minister Matteo Rensi.

The Minister has issued the following statement before leaving: "Today is a great day for democracy after years of negotiations and great efforts to create a Council of Majatra finally we can start working together for the peace and the prosperity of our continent. I would like to remember hear the great efforts made by my predecessors Pier Ferdinando Canini, Gianfranco Figni and of the President of the '"New Pan-Majatran Union Coalition" Gian Mario Mario.

I think that the first task of this meeting is to set a fixed maturity of meetings, we should also groped every possible strategy to broaden our Union in all states of Majatra, and finally, we should tighten the Treaties shared cooperation, drafting official documents and issue joint declarations to solve problems that are present in the continent ".

Chairman Gullimant:
"Welcome fellow delegates. It is truly urgent all of us attend this conference. The fate of Majatra is at stake and we must stand united in the face of adversity. Now despite the reservations of several Majatran and non-Majatran nations Deltaria is not invited because they are not a member of the Union. Once they become members of the UMN they can attend the Council sessions.
With that said lets move to th agenda. Now the Council should determine a meeting place for the Majatra Security Council to assemble and the Majatra Human Rights Council. We also must appoint 3 nations to the MHRC and Zardugal is keen to reform the MSC to make it a 3-5 member council appointed by us.
We would like to see Solentia host the MHRC given that nations superb rights record. The Chair also would like to nominate Solentia, Cobura and Vanuku.
In addition the Zardic Federation would like to establish a permanent Secratariat to manage day to day affairs of the UMN with its HQ right next to our own building and offices in member nations capitols.
In regards to the MSC we reiterate our drive to scale down the council and we welcome any nation that wishes to host the council. If more than one nation wishes to host the MSC the Council will vote on who shall host it.
Now I rest and return the floor to the delegates. I ask that we sort out these matters quickly."

The Deltarian Foreign Affairs Ministry sent the following message to the council participants:

Unfortunately, as Deltaria is not a member of the Union of Majatran Nations, we cannot attend this conference. We nonetheless wish to inform all nations participating in this forum that we are currently taking steps to join the organization and take part in its actions. In what concerns our conflict with Zardugal, we emphasise that it was not Deltaria to take the first step in escalating tensions. Zardugal had been illegally blockading our cities and undermining Deltarian sovereignty, forcing us to take action in self defense. Our government did extend the hand of friendship to Zardugal, inviting them to end their hostile actions against our nation, but we sadly received no reply, forcing us to use military force in order to defend our sovereignty. Had we waited for Deltaria to become a member of the UMN and participate in this conference, we would only have legitimized Zardic aggression against Deltaria. As Zardugal is still unwilling to end hostilities against the Czardom, a state of war now exists between the two nations. God willing, Zardugal will see the light of reason, and put an end to their aggressive foreign policy.
