Selucian Navy in Assedo
The South Ocean Treaty Organization, a 1700-year-old alliance still in existence, was officially reactivated in Auroria by Selucia, the original founder of the Treaty in 2117. The Selucian Senate approved in April 3859 the recreation of the oldest continuous military alliance and non-aggression pact, also approving the establishment of the Organization's headquarters in Auroria, where it had been founded almost two thousand years ago. And Majatra is indeed in dire need of a reborn SOTO. After the disintegration of the Jelbic Khaganate and the ravages of the Selucian Civil War, illegal activities on the Majatran Sea have risen to outstanding levels. Piracy, smuggling, and slavery now disrupt trading on the Sea, bringing commerce for all Majatran nations to a halt. From their bases in Vanuku and other Majatran nations, pirates and slavers strike fear into the hearts of all those brave enough to take the perilous journey over the Majatran Sea. The once peaceful and prosperous inland sea is now silent, as the nations on its shores have collapsed into chaos, anarchy, and tyranny, and as Nazi warlords in Vanuku prey on what little trade still occurs on the Majatran Sea. As the gateway between Artania and Majatra and the nation that was most affected by the collapse of international Maritime trading, Selucia decided to put an end to criminal activities on the shores of Majatra and return peace and prosperity to the South Ocean. With the Organization being reborn from its ashes, Selucia prepares itself for a large-scale sea patrol, as allowed under the Treaty.
