It's nice to see the ICAO getting revitalised -- thank you :) --

but, Kirlawa is likewise very unhappy regarding those codes. :(

We would like KL, please -- that is, if Pentalarc wouldn't mind switching Kalistan to KS (or something else) in order to free up KL for us.
If Pentalarc wants to keep KL, then our second choice for Kirlawa would be KR, currently unused.

Also ... please note that our nation's very name is misspelt in that list.
(Which really doesn't inspire confidence regarding the amount of care and heedfulness with which that list was assembled....)

On the contrary. It matters very much.
Because: changing it would make that player happy, and it wouldn't harm anyone.
ICly we in northerly Kirlawa may not have much if any contact with faraway Majatran Kalopia ... but OOCly I'm very strongly in favour of letting GreekIdiot choose a better-liked code.

For that matter: what in the world is wrong with letting nations choose their own codes? Instead of their being assigned out of the blue?
Such a procedure would have a far greater chance of satisfying a much wider range of people, instead of being arrogated in a top-down manner.

Perhaps ... let nations choose them in order of when they had ratified the treaty? Just a suggestion....

If we're somehow not going to allow nations to choose, or even to modify, those dictatorially-imposed codes ... then I would agree with Maxington: let's simply get rid of the codes entirely.

Ok then I have updated the list in accordance to your wishes.
We could let nations choose their codes and I support democracy in this way. However this would be a long and painful process to go through
