Anti-Drugs Association

Postby Maxington » Sun Dec 18, 2016 10:28 am

The illegal trade and consumption of harmful substances is a monumental threat to the societal structure of our modern world and our future. The Anti-Drug Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organization of prevention experts and community activists whose main mission are to ensure a safer "drug-free" world through preventive actions such as; providing qualitative information on harmful substances, promoting and providing solid support for miniature movements against the decriminalization and legalization of harmful substances.

The core principles which the Anti-Drugs Association supports are:-
Supporting the comprehensive and functional approach to prevent and education on harmful substances usage, trade and abuse.
Supporting strong legislations with the aims of holding users of said harmful substances accountable.
Supporting international agreements against drug trafficking and oppose attempts to weaken the international drug combating apparatus.
Supporting scientific research which brings awareness through qualitative education against harmful substance trade, usage and abuse.
Supporting the curbing of the clout of several organizations within terra whose clandestine aim is to sponsor harmful substance usage, trade and abuse.

Naud Runtvoort, President and Founder of the Anti-Drugs Association announces the beginning of a period of "qualitative analysis" on the various nations, associations and individuals who are complicit in the fueling of the death machine that is the drug trade scheme. "It is against the fundamental values of human life for drug trade to be the widespread issue is today. More so, to have various governments, associations and individuals complicit in the psychological, physical and spiritual breakdown of another person. The Anti-Drugs Association would like to shed light onto various people, associations and nations, complicit in the destruction of our societal structure.

The Honourable Naud Runtvoort,

I would like to invite you, on behalf of the Organisation of Drug Exporting Nations, to come to Kaliburg and sample our finest Pineapple Express marijuana products. I am confident that once you have experienced the sheer enjoyment our products can bring to those who use them on a regular basis, you will come to understand the sheer idiocy of your ultimate goal. Recreational drugs are a part of the culture here in Kalistan and I am sure you will agree, we are rather performing rather successfully at the moment.

Nonetheless, if you do not agree to this visit there will be no hostile relations between ODEN and the Anti-Drugs Association. In fact, the opposite is the case. We have recently begun putting together a new promotional video and the prominence of your organisation will be extremely beneficial in highlighting why we need young activists who support libertarian positions with regards to drugs. Furthermore, if the Anti-Drugs Association is successful in its goals then we will look forward to the increased revenue that will bring. When recreational drugs are legal, we are forced to compete with a host of well-organised and sometimes state-supported firms. It is much easier to contend with small-scale backstreet dealers.

As it happend, I'm surprised we had not thought of manufacturing something similar to your organisation before.

Regards,
Micaela Arias, Director of ODEN-Ananto

We do not wish to associate ourselves with your organization. For it champions the principles which this organization was formed against. I wish no longer to engage in any conservation of this kind. Your ignorance does not move me, and it shows a reoccurring Kalistani attribute.

Honourable Naud Runtvoort,

Thank you for your great work ahead of the Anti-Drugs Association. We wished every country had representatives like you, fighting for what you believe and trying to make an more cohesive international community. We sincerely believe our difference rely more on methods than proposes. If you care to listen to our arguments, we would like to show you how Beluzia's government have an drug policy entirely based on the principle of control. Our results are way better than most countries in the world when it comes to drug-addicition problems, and our citizens are some of the healthiest Terra has to offer.

Our legislation says that all naturally occurring drugs are legal. Synthetics are stricly forbidden. But not only that. If you look further into our great law, you will se that "The government is entirely responsible for the controlled sales of recreational drugs through operating stores and other locations". We know you would still be opposed to that, so allow us to show you how this little fact made our country less addicted and crime-free. By controlling the sales of any drug, our government can prevent modifications of the substances, ones that illegal drug traders make to ensure the addiction of the user. Almost all of the countries that forbid drug usage or trade are suffering right now with an increased drug problem because of the activity of said criminals. Beluzia doesn't have that, estimated friend, exactly because of our policy. Not only that. By eliminating the existence of said activities, our country does not have an violence and gang problem as well, so common in countries that make all drugs illegal. But wouldn't our policy give an wrongful message to citizens, you might say? One that tells them drug usage is ok? No, it doesn't. Not only because our Ministry of Health and Social Services and our Ministry of Education and Culture work together to educate the population about the dangers of drugs abuse, but also because we run an coordinated effort to make sure that every single buyer in the government facilities that sell these kinds of products get full examination, and psychological guidance. That is, we definitely feel, the smartest and safest way to fight drug addiction. And that's why we implemented said policy.

We hope our reasons were well explained, and that the honourable Anti-Drugs Association was able to see where are we coming from. Our proposes are the same, dear friends, the methods to get that are the differential. Thank you for your friendly warning to our country's policies. We hope your association will keep working with us, giving advices whenever you feel like, just like we hope your organization can see the validity of our intelligent approach.

Regards,
Dr. Davi Matheus
Professor of International Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Beluzia (4135-4138)

However, the gentlemen ignores the scientific and medicinal challenges associated with its use. Harmful substances such as cannabis and various paraphernalia are associated with health problems such as, stroke, mental illnesses and are complicit in the compromising of ones immune system along with increasing infection rates. The effect of these substances cannot be ignored, nor can it be overshadowed by the government's policy and how it affects crime. I will not deny nor confirm, whether your citizens are truly amongst the healthiest on terra, you could have the best results with respect to this entire topic. It does not address the fact that effect the medical, psychological and physical functions of a given person. We have conducted various scientific research on the effects of harmful substances such as cannabis and various paraphernalia on topics such as Teenage depression and drug consumption and also Cocaine and its part in blockading antiviral treatment among women. We in return hopes the Beluzian government takes these topics into consideration as it crucial for the effectiveness of drug abuse, trade and consumption awareness.

As Minister of Foreign Affairs of Istalia, I was charged to talk with this organization about its positions and I would say that the Government of Istalia totally join the point of view of my counterpart of Beluzia.

It's true, this substances have effects on the consumers, could lead to the development of health problems, we are conscious of that. But why to mention only drugs like marijuana or cocaine? Why not mention also the alcohol and tobacco? Why not mention the coffee? Why not the red meat or the sugar?
These are all substance which they are potentially dangerous for the consumers but the latters are commonly consumed and are legal products in most part of the nations on Terra.
And about alcohol and tobacco all the studies report that there are more deaths for this two substances then the others each years.

What that we would say you is that prohibitionist policies do not contribute to solve the problems but rather they generate more problems on the social and economic sides: black market, organized criminality, city gang, urban decay and a statistically proven increase in the consumption and a drastical decrease in the quality, that really increase the risk of deaths and other health problematics.
And not less important, similar policies go against the freedom of the people and against its freedom to choice. Antiprohibitionistic policies are solution more useful and more ethic.

(OOC: Before to leave you, I would like know if this organization has some relationship with the government of Kazulia)

Thank you

We completely agree with everything our good friends of Istalia brought to this association's appreciation. We were going to give an more ellaborated response, but our office feels our point of view was reiterated and complemented well by our friends.
