Aurora Adorinda, Istalian Minister of Foreign Affairs,

Supporting the Csar is impossible. Otherwise we cannot even claim to be better than a socialist government. Trust me, as a member of the Nationalist Party of Istalia, my distaste for a Socialist government is immense. Nonetheless, all the evidence points to them, just like most present here, to be voted into power and that should be respected. Moreover, should the Socialists in Deltaria mess up, as the legitimate government, that plays in our favor as well. Hence, supporting the SU or at least maintaining neutrality and ensuring the containment of this conflict in Deltaria ie. Preventing Jelbania from stepping in the military conflict, are the only viable options should we still regard ourselves as the beacons of Majatran freedoms. We all here seem to agree that economic freedom is crucial, but that is impossible without political freedoms.

***A solidarity march organized by forces from the istalian opposition are demostrating in Romula reaching the Majatran Alliance's Offices****

From the Radical Alliance party, currently at the opposition into the Istalian Parliament, comes a message to the Majatran Alliance's member nations' representatives:

To the honurable representatives of the Nations of the Majatran Alliance,
we would like first of all express all our disappointment to see Governments of this organization to take side in favor of a violent golpe justifying this decision claiming false allegations against a political movement, the SU, accused to have manipulated the elections and to want enforce a totalitarian communist regime, allegations lead by an unacceptable biased ideological positions. We declares these allegations as 'false', because, as already underlined, no one was able to offer evidences of electoral frauds or of totalitarian tendencies.

The Majatran Alliance was founded on the principles and values of Tollerance, Freedom, State of Law and primary of Democracy, without any reference or limitation for this or that political movement or ideology since with its actions it remain within a democratic framework.
We would demand, for this reason, to the Government of Pontesi to offer us evidences of the attempt of the socialist party in Deltaria to install a meztist dictatorship. But we already know that Pontesi will be not able to show us such evidence.
The Socialist Union, indeed, proved to be a political movement devoted to the democracy and the pluralism which, most important, despite the questionable behavior of the Czar and his party of the previous years, accepted, and proposed, to maintain the monarchy in Deltaria and to not undermine the imperial role of the Csar and his family.
Who dares to call this a "meztist behavior"?

Now, honorable delegates, we want really know: how a nation which defines itself a democracy, could support a government which support such provision: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=559247, which support the idea that some men, just because belong to this or that family, should have major rights compared to the rest of the other citizens.
We would just underline, and remember, that a Democracy, to meet the definition, shall provide that "every individual is equal before and under the law". If someone here dares to deny this, well... we can only invite these people to be ashamed of and to immediatly return to read some book about political science, political phylosophy and political history, something which however should be well-known by part of any politician who declares to be a supporter of the Democracy.
Democracy, clearly provides the right for citizens or group of them to express freely their political ideas and to criticize their government. Now, let analyzing the situation: who claimed to be a persecuted political movement? Who suffered the desappearing of notable party's members which still have not be seen but are still in the hand of the Csarists? Who, once at the power, never denied to the losing side to continue its political activity and to express its political positions? Who, once at the power, despite the possibility to abolish the monarchy, accepted instead to conduct its political activity under the previous system of government? But, most important, who didn't accepted the electoral outcome attempting to take the power through violence?
A democracy works first of all when there is the political maturity by part of the political forces to accept the defeats and to respect the will of the citizens. It is true, also under a democracy many thinks that the citizens have the right to rebel against the government if it fails to respect the democratic mandade, but the idea that a faction could rebels against its government just to maintain the power or to take the power, well... this is really unacceptable and deprecable!

Before to conclude, we have to express also our disappointment for the possibility that this organization retains a neutral position on this issue, because acting in this way this organization will betray all its principles, will betray one of its foundamental mission: promote and protect the Democracy in Majatra. So, how could this organization remain neutral when a democracy risk to be destroyed by the idiocy of some people aimed just to maintain thier power and not to assure to the well-being of their citizens?

This organization cannot but condemn the Csarists and heavily blame any government or political force ready to support in any way the Csarists, especially if ideologically biased.
On the specific, someone should remember that not all the political ideologies and movements which can be labelled as "leftist" are aimed to stamp out political, civil, social and economic rights to enforce a dictatorship of proletariat. The Istalian Republic few years ago was government by a cabinet led by a party which openly declares itself as Metzist. For centuries Istalia saw numberous socialist and communist parties contucting their political activities and also leading government under the democratic framework of our nation. The same in Selucia, well... probably also more than in Istalia! For more than 200 years an openly self-declared socialist and leftist political force has leading the nation for most part of the time, but Selucia since long time has been always ranked among the most democratic nations of whole Terra. Indeed, when the democracy in Selucia has been undermine, the responsability often was of rightist government or monarchical one.
A Democracy is a Democracy when there are no limitations to specific ideologies a part those necessary to assure its very survival, limits that are not aimed to dany rights to this or that ideology, but which limits any behavior and action aimed to abolish the Democracy and undermine the democratic rights of the citizens. And, once again, someone has evidence that the SU acted to abolish citizens' rights and democratic principles in Deltaria? Indeed we can only recognize to SU to have improved greatly the democracy in Deltaria, first of all banning the Nobles' major rights.
Finally, a democracy cannot be called in this way if a government doesn't respect also the economical rights of the citizens and the private property is the foundamental one. But the Socialist Union doesn't seem to have never proposed to abolish this foundamental right. The Government of Pontesi has evidence of this? We still don't think so. For this reason the Majatran Alliance cannot act against the Socialist Government or the Socialist Union, which always acted inside the framework of a Democracy and indeed tried to improve the democracy in Deltaria, well... to litterarly reintroduce it abolishing any political privilege for a small group of persons (the nobles) without any merit to justify it.

For all this reason we demand to the Majatran Alliance, and we will make pression to the Istalia Government, to assure recognition to the Republic created by the Socialist Government, to condemn the actions of the Csarists and to doesn't graant any recognition to any form of political organization under the previous and dethroned Csar.
A neutral stance would only be a defeat for this organization, a betrayal of the mission of promoting and protecting democracy denying its assistance to democratic forces which fight for equal rights and democratic values.

If some Government of the Alliance dares to deny these reasons, clear facts and not obscure allegations without evidence, well... probably this Government doesn't understand at all what is a democracy, what this organization wants promote and defend and probably doesn't deserve to be member of this organization.

Thank you

Signed,

Argos Loukas, Caesar of the Res Publica Seluciae

After reading the words of Mrs. Vitali, we want to thank her party of the support they have given to our nation and the clear description they have given about the current situation. The description Mrs. Vitali has given about our nation is the most clear image of what a leftist party can do when no one spread false words or accusations about it. The Selucian nation is known for its respect for democracy, and every single party in the nation has respected the political ideas of other parties as long as they were not focused on destroying the nation as a whole after clearly showing intentions, not just based in false claims. What disturbs the Selucian government the most is the fact that some nations are taking sides based on who is fighting. Really, ladies and gentlemen? Is this happening for real? Are you real politicians or are just fanatical people? Politics were meant to solve the lifes of everyone, and by taking sides just thinking about which side fits more with my own political ideology is just disgusting. We should think about who defends democracy and who is destroying its principles. After the recent elections saw the Thallerists winning, the Selucian government now has to support the official government UNTIL the report from the Selucian NGO is delivered and we all can see if there was some rigging or not. However,
we can't support in any way the actions of the Deltarian Head of State, which were clearly against democracy when he prepared and executed a coup d'etat against the official Deltarian government at the time. Because now, the other side of the conflict can do the same, and no one would be able to protest, as that is what their politicians have shown: if you don't like something, attack it. The Pandora's Box has been opened. And Selucia will not rest until a solution is found.

Valentina Vitali, Foreign Minister of the Istalian Republic

Hon. Heads of State, Heads of Government, Ministers and/or Representatives of the Nations of the Majatran Alliance,
Ten nations today are part of this organization, committed to adhere to the principles of the Majatran Alliance and to profit of the opportunities offered by such an economic common area. Istalia, as founder member cannot but be very glad and rejoy for the success of this organization which with great efforts we supported and promoted since its foundation.

However, Collegues, too often some of the most basic principles and values of this organization have been disregarded by part of this or that nation during the long years of existence of the Alliance, especially the core principles of the organization: democracy, state of law, freedom, tollerance and protection for the citizens.
For long years Istalia has borne large part of the costs for the organization, being the nation which promoted most of the Alliance's economic initiatives, economic initiatives open to any member and aimed to develop economic activity and funding economic activities. For example, decades ago Pontesia profited of Alliance funds to support the large works of expantion of its main port. But this is just one example and one of the largest, but such resources, being disponible for Governments as well as for privates, as been clearly exploited and have contributed to the undeniable avarage stability that Majatra is experiencing since several decades (a part minor skermishes), a great improvement compared to previous periods which saw large wars, refugees crisis and so on, and, furthermore, the Alliance has also showed to be an authoritative actors also during this or that crisis in Majatra. Finally, this organization has generated strong relations and ties between most of the member nations.

Probably the Alliance can also do more, but... cannot exist benefits without duties and obligations. It is clearly unfair towards the most diligent nations that some member could profit of the economic benefit of the organization but avoiding to commit themself in respecting the values of the Alliance.
And so, we have witnessed for years the Deltarian situation where a little group of people (the nobles) are entitled of major rights compared to the rest of the citizens, we have witnessed to the fall of democracy in Kafuristan which today is a extremely restrictive and authoritarian theocratic monarchy, we have witnessed to the introduction in Pontesi of the same provision about the noble enforced in Deltaria, but in general we have constated the fact that this organization has very few tools to defend and promote democracy in Majatra as prescribed into the foundation treaty.

For this reason, the current Istalian Administration wants present officially into this august body the official draft of a "Chart of the Fundamental Principles of the Majatran Alliance and Common Economic Area".
A treaty drafted, first of all, to defend the rights of the citizens of the member nations and to limit the power of the Governments and Authorities, formed by articles judged to be the foundamental basis of any nation which wants to call itself as a Democracy and with which the majority of the current member nations are in compliance, except for Deltaria, Pontesi, Jakania and Barmenia (and on 10 nations, it is not very encouraging to have 4 members with serious critical issues).

Deltaria, which is already suspended due to the actions of the previous Csarist Governments against Kalopia, infringe the articles 14, 5 and 7 of the draft, providing major rights for the nobles, allowing child labour at the same conditions of the adults and obliges any citizens to perform the military service without considers religious, moral and ethics issues of the citizens which in this field became litterarly serfs of the State.

Pontesi has the same problems about the article 14, recognizing major rights to the nobles but, probably worse, in Pontesi the citizenship, and so the right to partecipate to the political life of the nation, is recognized just to the land owners, a little wealthy élite where we think, in the practice, that the extension of the land property is foundamental to determine the force of this or that individual or group.

Jakania, one the most recent members which joined the Alliance: for Jakania, what poses problems are laws in the field of the military, providing criminal charges for not to perform the military services (with the same implications underlined for Deltaria) and providing forms of racial and religious discrimination to hold positions of command into the military, infringements of the most basic provision of a democracy: equality of all the citizens before the Law, in rights and duties.

Finally, Barmenistan, another nation which joined recently the organization, which, despite it respects 24 of the 25 articles, the one not respected is about the serious infringiment of a human right: Barmenia allows the physical punishments which generate permanent injuries, an unacceptable treatment for an human being.

Now, we would like open here officially a debate on the matter. The drafted Chart doesn't totally block the possibility of the member nations to legislate providing single options, but it exclude those provisions that are clearly uncompatible with the Democracy. The large majority of the member nations for years, decades, someone for centuries, respected the provisions of such drafted treaty and so, little will change for these nations, just that for any anti-democratic forces emerging in a member nations would be impossible just with an electoral victory to introduce laws which could only but cause sufferences for the citizenship, for ethnic or religious minorities, or which could pose serious risks to the very survival of their Democracy.
If the nations that joined the Majatran Alliance really care of the liberty of their citizens and the survival of their democracy, we think that there would be problems for the governments of this organization to promote and ratify this treaty.

Peace, stability, tollerance and justice. All this could be assured by this treaty. We hope many other member nations will agree with us on this. We invite all the other members to express themself and also to freely propose changements or alternatives.

But, we would also open a debate on the articles infringed by the mentioned nations and how to face these issues, and if they pose issues to other members like to Istalia.

Finally, there is also another proposal comes from another member nation of the Alliance, namely Selucia: the creation of the figure of a General Secretary of the Majatran Alliance. I think we should start to debate also on this proposal.

Thank you

Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Cakaniye Cumhuriyeti Mrs.Asena Akhun
First of all,I would like to present my upmost regards for the respected members of the Majatran Alliance.
Our Party has always held a Pro-Majatran Unity stance and we have proven that with joining several economic and social pacts and obviously the Majatran Alliance in our Governmental term.President Mustafa Atsız and Grand Vizier (aka Prime Minister) Baybars Kağan have both expressed the need for Unity and Brotherhood among the Majatran Nations and we still hold this idea to heart. Our nation has passed through rough times with previous governments trying to hinder our Secular and Democratic Principles constantly. When our party came to power,We needed to make sure that Cakaniye would never fall into reactionary hands ever again.İn Jakanian culture the Millitary has always been seen as the Safeguard against both internal and external threats to our Secular Republic and thus we decided that Political Discourse and legislations are too fragile to prevent regression and that a Strong Millitary was needed for the safety of a stable Democratic Jakania. Thus was introduced the Legislations that the honourable minister was referring to.First of all the People of Cakaniye are Pro-Millitarist and serve with pride and those who avoid are usually ones who are enemies of our Secular principles, these could be Theocrats or Communists or anyone who hates free democracy and these people are dangerous to our nations safety. When it comes to the Legislation pointed out concerning “discrimination”in the millitary,if you have read the context of that bill you will see that religious affiliations were null and the legislation only targeted that the Commanding Brass be ethnically Turjak and not a certiam biological color or religion ,but simply ethnically Turjak to make sure a conflict of interest would not occur while serving as our nations guardians.
İn conclusion we have no intention of amending these legislations as we understand them, and we would appeal that the Alliance understand our need for such laws
Best Regards,
TheCaliph

Chrysa Contou, Selucian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Selucia would place some articles regarding LGBT and other minority groups, as its current situation is very discouraging. However, is the draft is finally accepted as it is right now, Selucia will not oppose to it and will ratify, as our nation is already in compliance and has been in compliance for centuries.

In the same way, the figure of the General Secretary for our Alliance seems logic. A single figure to represent the interests of the Alliance, elected by its members. If the majority of MA members have a center-right or right-wing governments, we think its logical to elect a secretary with those characteristics. If it is center-left or left-wing,
it's the same. An election happening every 5-10 years seems nice for us.

Valentina Vitali, Foreign Minister of the Istalian Republic

Thank you for your intervention Minister Contou,
and to respond to you, in effect Istalia should explain its original intents which we hope to achieve before the end of the century, a long road but which we think will be necessary, because ambitious are our projects for the Alliance and its foundamental principle.

The past governments, and in particularly the foreign ministers of the National Party of Istalia, worked on the Chart of the Foundamental Principles as the first of three Alliance's Treaties:

- the Chart of the Foundamental Principles

- the Convention on the Civil Rights

- the Agreement on the Area of Economic Co-Prosperity

These three treaties, in practice, are respectively dedicated to the political, civil and economic fields, to assure: Democracy, Personal Liberties and Economic Freedom. The first treaty is already drafted, the second one was set aside by the nationalists due to its contenute (but as exponent of a progressive-leading Government I personally hope to be able to work on it), the third one, finally, nobody worked on it, mainly due to the delicate matters of the social rights, an issue which many decades ago made
fail the project of the new chart of human rights.
The "Agreement on the Area of Economic Co-Prosperity" in fact, primary was thought many years ago, someone started to propose such a treaty during the years of the cold conflict between the MA and the Revolutionary Federation. A treaty aimed to preserve the economic rights of the individual, the freedom of enterprise and the market economy.
However, at the time such a treaty was considered as premature and as time passes the force of the red dictature declined and in few decades it was nomore a menace for the democracy and the free market.
Recently this treaty was once again proposed and debated, especially between the nationalists and my party (its predecessor), but divisions emerged on the matter: in fact, my part proposed to add also social provisions into the economic treaty but such proposals was contrasted by those supporting a treaty just to avoid state capitalism, forced collectivization, illegal forced expropriation, and so on.
We are ready to debate about the possibility to draft other two treaties to cover the matters mentioned.

Instead, to respond to Minister Akhun from Jakania,
we can just understand that it was a measure, although very discriminatory on racial basis, adopted during an emergency situation. However, your law is open to dangerous interpretation which can led to veritable discriminatory situation.
But we think that also the current legislation is a form of discrimination, because to Istalia seems that not all the citizens of Jakania are Turjaks, living in you nations citizens that belong to other ethnicities. Your laws in fact allows the multiple citizenships and allow anyone to become citizens by passing an exams. So, in Jakania, a non-Turjak can become a Jakanian citizen, can partecipate to elections and can be protected by the Jakanian Law and then he shall pay his taxes to the Government and shall respect the obligations as jakanian citizens, but despite this, he is automatically excluded by an command position into the armed forces due to the fact that, despite his citizenship, despite he is a jakanian, he belong to a non-Turjak ethnicity. This is a form of discrimination Mr Minister, against any other ethnicity which is not Turjak but citizens of Jakania. This law authomatically excludes thousands if not millions of non-Turjak jakanians, and not all these people necessarilly have a multiple nationality. We invite you to reflect with attention on how you interpreted such law and how you apply it.
Reserving an official position just for the national is a thing Mr Minister, but excluding this or that race or someone just because has a religious faith, is another thing.
And we are sorry that the current Government doesn't seem to be able to understand the implications of a law which simply sais that "Candidates must be of a certain race/religion to hold positions of command" and how such a law could be interpreted in the future, well... you are the first to talk about discrimination against the non-Turjaks...

But, Collegues, the problem here is a stereotyping and demonization of many concepts, ideologies and beliefs! The whole is attacked because of some deviating elements and single episodes. For you it is better to open a witch hunt and suppress the freedom of expression rather than work to develop a mature and tollerant society, a society which act against who effectively infringed the law, not against who has this or that ideology or belief.
Discriminations against those which belong to a religion due to extremist degenerations, like if any person which believe in some religion is authomatically an exalted foundamentalist, or discriminations against specific igeologies due to the worse degenerations. Like the socialism!
It was a sad spectacle to see Pontesi accusing the Socialist Union of Deltaria just advancing stereotypes, but it seems that no one cares about the fact that Pontesi recognizes the existence of some citizens "better" than the others or, worse, that recognizes the political rights just to the landowners, and we would ask to Pontesi: what? an employeed or a factory work is not a human being? Is not a citizen of Pontesi? Does not have the right to express his will partecipating to elections and to the political life?
And few showed to be scandalized when the monarchical forces in Selucia persecuted thousand of Yeudis. And very few seems indeed scandalized by the fact that the Theocratic Monarchy of Kafuristan reintroduced the slavery!

Not at all! It is better to cry wolf because a socialist party gained an election! Frankly, it is scandalous collegues!

S-C-A-N-D-A-L-O-U-S!

Democracy puts just those limits to defend its own very survival, measures that doesn't depend by this or that ideology and that doesn't ban this or that ideology or limit the possibilities of this or that citizens for his own belief (political as well as religious ones), not at all! Because, a socialist regime, a fascist regime, a communist regime, an authocratic regime, and so on, are all the same: form of government which first of all are aimed to limit the individual freedoms of the citizens suppressing the political freedom to assure the survival of the regime. Not only the socialism saw degerations which led to authoritarian and undemocratic regimes! And I challenge anyone to contradict my assessment on this point!

Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Jakania Mrs.Asena Akhun
This shall be my final appeal on the issue of our Millitary Policy to the Majatran Alliance.
Our Government has instructed me to inform the honourable members that Jakania is a Turjak State with an ovewhelming Turjak majority and in our cultural understanding and the basic principle which we follow everyone who loves Jakania and is willing to serve Jakania is a Turjak in the eyes of the Government regardless of their ancestry or personal ethnical identities. So really we see no discrimination in our policy.Furthermore i will close my final appeal with these words, our government has seen Pro-Majatran policy take hold in our nation and we still want to thrice towards it however we shall not give away our independance and political integrity by changing our laws and systems which have worked perfectly for years. So we ask that the Majatran Alliance accept us as an independant country and let us shape our internal policy
Best Regards,
Mrs.Asena Akhun
