The Foreign Minister, Viscount Fukuyama, showed himself very pleased with recent developments

Whale Island - Responding to an invitation of the President of Ostland's Septembrist Crownland Congress, Foreign Minister Seodoru Fukuyama said he was looking forward to paying a visit to Zibon once it was safe for him to do so. At a well-attended press conference in the eye of much of the international press, the Foreign Minister in the Provisional Government of the United Imperial Crownlands, now a high-profile international figure, cheerfully admitted he "was certainly pleased with the way things are going", although he re-emphasised that coalition forces should not tarry too long before launching the final assault on the regime, reiterating earlier statements by Commandant Viktor Gubler that the lifes of both civilians and RBW men and women were at stake.

Placed even above the joy felt at the Septembrist Congress's electoral victory for the Ostland Constitutional Convention was the good news having come out of Indrala about the almost universal recognition the Provisional Government had received there. Surprisingly so, the Septembrists knew, because of doubts expressed over the Movement's ties to Dankuk, which saw the Foreign Minister personally travel to Indrala to make the case. "I have already expressed our sincere gratitude to Indrala provisionally and it's even better to be able to do so permanently," said Fukuyama. "We are recognised by major powers in the region and this should certainly aid the transition back to democracy once we're rid of the regime."

Returning to the matter of Ostland, Viscount Fukuyama congratulated Mr Abo and his party on their victory and said he hoped this would mark a new chapter for Ostland: "Not the previous one but the next one. I understand our Kunihito brethren in Touryou might be somewhat nostalgic for the Crownlands and the liberties they enjoyed then. We are happy to help them, but Ostland should value and treasure its independence, united thought they are eternally to us in terms of culture, shared history, and now once more Septembrist values."
