Majatran Union of Nations Grand Assembly (MUNGA)

Postby Rogue » Thu Jul 19, 2018 7:31 am

OOC: In this topic you can discuss matters of the MUN. It serves as the Grand Assembly of the MUN and should be rped that way. Meaning that it is an independent body with independent political parties. Currently the only party in the MUNGA is the "Grand Conservative Party of Majatra (GCPM)" but players in member states can make their own parties and compete in GA elections. 450 seats are available in the Assembly and a election that will be held soon shall determine how these seats will be allocated.

Full members can also send their ambassadors to the GA and speak on behalf of their nation if allowed by the Assembly but the parties themselves debate on subjects brought forward by the ambassadors.

In here laws can also be proposed in the following format:

CONSTITUTION OF THE MUN

Article 1 "the president"

The President of the MUN will be elected every 6 years.
The President is elected by representatives of the MUN member states
The MUN member states will all have 3 representatives to vote in presidential elections (regardless of the size of the member state)
Member states can only propose 1 candidate for the presidency per country. Member states can also declare a joint ticket (1 candidate for 3 nations etc.)
The President will oversee the different branches of the MUN and lead them accordingly with the discretion of the member state governments.
The President can sign MGA laws into effect or veto them but ONLY when he or she has consulted the member state governments first

Article 2 "branches"

The different branches of the MUN are as followed:

"Majatran Armed Alliance (MAA)" is the military/defensive branch of the MUN and has as its objective to protect MUN member states and serve as a peacekeeping/dettering force in case of conflict. All Member states are obligated to contribute at least 200 million of their own currency every year to the maintenance of the MAA

"Majatran Economic Zone (MEZ)" Is the free trade agreement/organization of the MUN. The MEZ ensures a free trade zone between all MUN member states. This zone will have no tarrifs or any regulation on trade and a organization called the "Majatran Economic Advisory Bureau (MEAB)" will oversee the MEZ and ensure that all member states keep the free trade ensured by the treaty.
The MEAB can also impose sanctions on member states if they violate the integrity of the MEZ

"Majatran Grand Assembly (MGA)" Is the legislative body of the MUN. This Assembly can create laws that affect all MUN member states. However the president needs to sign laws coming from the MGA into effect before they are enforced. The President also has to consult the governments of member states before signing MGA laws into effect.

NOTE: The MGA will have its own seperate parties to ensure neutrality and objectivity.

Article 3 "Mutual Defense"

If a member state is attacked by a foreign entity all other member states have an obligation to protect and defend the sovereign territory of the member state being attacked. If a member state refuses to do so they will immediately be subjected to sanctions and if the situation persists they will be forcefully removed from the MUN

Article 4 "supervisors"

Every branch listed in Article 2 will have "supervisors" to lead day to day operations of the branches. These supervisors are appointed by the President himself after he/she gets elected. Supervisors also serve a term of 6 years EVEN if a MUN president serves a less extended term.

Article 5 "reelection"

The President can be reelected without restrictions. No term limits are in place until the MGA decides otherwise.

Article 6 "common budget"

"Every MUN full member state shall contribute 1% of their annual budget to a common funds operated by the MEAB, this funds will be used for investments and subsidies all accros the MUN and will be focussed on supporting the people of majatra as well as increasing the growth rate of our member states"

Article 7 "trial currency"

"The MUN will launch a new currency called the "MEN" (Majatran Economic Net), this currency will run a trial period and shall be linked to every national currency of the full member states. The currency will be issued on a limited scale and only in specific zones as a means to test its possible strength. After 10 years of this article's implementation the MEN shall be evaluated by the MUNGA on its succes or failure"

The gentleman with the unprounceable name should not hold any authority in this organisation. He is a cheating dictator who is refusing to give Jelbanians a free and fair election. He imprisons people for blasphemy and executes them for adultery. He won't allow women to work. He bans abortion even when the woman has been raped or her life is in danger. He lets endangered animals be hunted. He lets whales be slaughtered. He locks up gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals. He supports cruel experiments on animals. He lets farmers mistreat their animals. He gives no welfare to the poor. He orders judicial corporal punishment against his own citizens. He has sexual harassment as the national sport. He bans us from smoking cigarettes. He won't give us a minimum wage, or regulate our working hours, or get our employers to make social insurance contributions.

All of this, plus if you get to know him, he is generally a bit of a cunt.

Lex'r Drshjesrmke Pshamazrk, Vanukean Government Advisor to the MUN:

President Mrthotrjrzajad,

We agree with you and in light of the Istalian stock market crash we are keen to get on with business here.

I think the time has come for candidates for the Presidency to come forward so that nations can vote upon them and for other political parties that wish to be represented in this Grand Assembly to declare their interest.

President of the Free Republic Shlajkai Grzkaisrmko Mrthotrjrzajad

Ladies and Gentlemen, this Black Thursday Crisis threatens all of us and we must come together to solve it and bring back economic order. The areas under the direct rule of the Free Republic have not suffered too much so far but we anticipate this will not be the case should this downturn continue. It is for this reason that I declare my intention to run for the Presidency of the MUN and announce the founding of the Majatran Federalist Movement as the party that will support my campaign. The MFM will focus on local rights in regards to farmers and those living in rural areas to safeguard their rights and job security. I will not be contesting another term as President of the Free Republic of Jelbania once my current six year term ends.

Horace Spencer of House Spencer, Jelbania:

I urge this organisation not to elect Shlajkai Grzkaisrmko Mrthotrjrzajad as its leader, for the aforesaid reasons. He is a Jelbanian has-been who Jelbania has had more than enough of. He is damned useless, trust us we know. The MUN would be being taken for a ride if it aids him with his cushy retirement plans.

I propose instead that the MUN convenes a special court of justice to put him on trial for his crimes against the Jelbanian people

Vanuku To Be Granted Executive HQ of the MUN

According to Founding Member Cildania, the Headquarters of the MUN executive will be centred in Vanuku. With Black Thursday taking hold, it is time for a headquarters that is geographically closer to the majority of MUN nations as opposed to Romula, Istalia. This does not have much of an intended meaning apart from Vanuku (most likely Wiel) being the location in which the President of the MUN shall reside.

Cildanian Officials have been contacted for comment to confirm that this development is indeed correct.

I can confirm on behalf of the Vanukean government that we are delighted to be asked to host the Executive Headquarters of the MUN. It will indeed be located in Wiel as will the President's residence.

OOC: @Mr God, I can also confirm the formation of a new party in the Grand Assembly. It will be the Majatran Reform Party (centrist, pragmatic reformist, internationalist). It will be part-funded/sponsored by the Z-MJP party in Vanuku but is open to continent-wide candidates.
