Herlkai Bókkatéz, Leader of the Majatran Reform Party (MRP):

Mr Speaker,

Given everything that has been put forward in this debate I believe we should put a hold on the aforementioned vote and instead vote on adding a new clause to the constitution for both full membership and observer state membership.

That being:

Existing MUN full members reserve the right to block other nation's entry to full membership and/or observer state status if said nation is perceived to to be a threat to the MUN as a whole, or to one or more of the the nation states that are part of the MUN.

The decision on whether to allow entry is made at the executive level with all full member states receiving one vote and the President holding a casting vote if this is necessary.

The MLS votes NAY to Proposal 1.2.

If passed, the MLS would like to propose an amendment to the passed law that would remove the ability to block observation status.

Mr Speaker,

Is there a time limit on this vote? We surely must soon draw a line under this and if the other parties fail to vote in that duration it must be recorded that they have abstained.
