Newly installed Foreign Minister Ahmed Djibouti of Egelion sends the following message: "Our first attempt at ratification of the Keris Mutual Defense Pact failed by 3 votes (irritatingly, one party, which would have surely voted for ratification failed to vote). After fresh elections and my installation as foreign minister my first step was to put the treaty up for ratification again, the ratification was an overwhelming success and the Republic of Egelion is now a full participatory member of the Keris Mutual Defense Pact. We apologise for the delay in this, but politics is what it is."
