2nd International Olympic Committee Session - 2963

Postby meismeotheraccount » Tue Jul 13, 2010 1:09 am

Welcome to Kien! Great to see everyone again! After 20 years, the games are back. Now Anything for the Agenda? I would like everyone to anncoune themselves. I am Daven Golam, for the Saridani Union. First, I was thinking of adding a 4th place Medal made out of Nickel. Discuss now.

Well with the lack of Kizenian athletes qualifying for any events, and in light of the interests of my nation's strong mining industry, we recommend the medals be replaced with Lead, Mercury and Depleted Uranium.

Kizenia & Kuzaki. Home of the world's finest Mercury. All other nations Mercury is inferior Mercury.

The delegates from Luthori do not think a fourth medal is a good idea. In sports, there must be winners and losers and losing, however distasteful, must continue to exist. Adding a fourth medal would open the door to a fifth and a sixth until eventually everybody is given a medal just for participation. This deludes the winner's prestige and honor and is extremely unjust for that person. Luthori believes three metals to e more than enough for the Olympic games.
