[V] International & Intellectual Interchange of Issues & Ideas [V]

Location: Nava-Muller Hall, Magrathea, Mekarali Province, Democratic Republic of Ikradon
Host: Calvin Cartridge, Union Socialism Alliance
Invited: the International Intellectual Interchange of Issues & Ideas organisation.

"Greetings friends and fellow minds full thoughts,

I welcome you all to the first Conference of [V}, where many invitees and participant will be talking, discussing and debating each other about our topic, Fascism, all in a respectful and reasonable matter. Here is our agenda and points of the Conference:

Topic: Fascism

"Fascism is mostly used in a negative way. There are some well-established Fascists party in several nations on Terra, and there are a lot of people, parties and even nations as a whole that would condemn such practices. Their social policies of a social class structure with a ruling elite, and many times even racial segregation is often controversial, and their nationalistic and militaristic tendencies tend to make many organisations and government keep two eyes on them. Fascism is also on of the only ideologies that has been explicitly banned.

The question here is, even with all the controversies and 'human rights' issue, and the possible class-stratification and a pseudo-feudal system in place, is Fascism the political ideology that comes closely, if not fully, to being compatible with the Theory of Evolution? In other words, isn't Fascism what pure nature would have wanted for human beings?

And does Fascism help, or hurt humanity as a whole?
"

There we have it, now let us inaugurate our organisation in a grand fashion!"

"One would argue that Humanity has not been following the Evolutionary ways of nature ever since humans have been able to talk and think. I for one think that humans have out-grown the usage of Evolution, and the concept of Evolution is outdated. We are all born equal and should be treated equal. If we were to follow the path of evolution, we all would still be barbaric creatures fighting each other all the time. Even when we are civilized, like in this day and age, we still wage wars! Imaging if Fascism or Evolution reigned!

I think ever since men could think and speak, humans should have entered another form of evolution. The evolution for everyone to become equals, recognizing that we all are humans. I think this is why Fascism is not the closest to evolution, nor reality. It has no relevance for humans any more. And humans are not like animals in the wild, not any more, and Fascism only hurts us, by separating us more from our own evolution of humanity, and bringing us closer to the barbaric animal kingdom lifestyle"

Fascism is a premise used with a staggering variety by the nations of the world. Political parties dedicated to fascism or contemplating on the ideas of it, or simply wishing to establish a regime based on the ideology of fascism differ greatly with regards to their views about what...well, what fascism itself is. Many indeed would argue, as those represent the vast majority of the world's belief that fascism is inhumane and should not be tolerated, because it is violent, evil in all essence and harmful for humanity as a whole, that is should remain where it is: buried in the grounds where the old NWO has been left to rot, where the Saiser and the grand fascists of other plentiful nations throughout history are left forgotten. People do seem to forget, but fascism was a stable and confident ideological path to take. It had days of grandeur despite its inevitable demise as a dream not so many centuries ago.

I would personally not even consider limiting the freedoms of extremist ideologies, like fascist coalitions, with the sole condition that public and private property, ethics, traditions, prosperity, peace and above all, human lives do not get harmed by any ideology's sorrow hunger for rule and power and international recognition. Because of its nature, fascism is and will always remain, aggressive.

The door burst open, and the gaunt, spectral figure of Henry Vogler appeared followed by his secretary, an eager young man. Smiling and completely unexpected, he slowly eyed the room. His pupils fixed on the podium that seemed to want his presence. The host was stunned.

"May I?"

The host was speechless. Mr Vogler gave a kindly smile and proceeded to business.

"My dear ladies and gentlemen, this topic has intrigued greatly the Rutanian Supremacist League and, being social darwinists, they could not let their core belief be misrepresented. As their representative, I do hope you don't mind if I barge in here uninvited.

I think basic background information of the RSL is necessary to understand their stance. The most important fact of which is the RSL is not fascist. Not by a long shot. The RSL has only been calling for the genocide of black "Rutanians" because they have been terrorising the native Rutanian population with their foreigness. They are completely unsuitable to live in Rutania.

Now then, for the topic at hand..."

Mr Vogler arranged his spectacles.

"Fascism and the theory of evolution have always had an infamous relationship. But dare do I make the statement that this relationship, accepted as the truth by many and given no further thought, is completely non-existent. Natural selection favours the survival of the fittest and the fittest regardless. Fascism hi-jacked the principles of natural selection for its own xenophobic, political agenda. It flatters its adherents by claiming that their physical or psychological attributes are of the superior or desirable type and acts this through eugenics or some other such programme. This is merely artificial, or man-made, selection and is by all means an inferior form of evolution. There are so many grey areas in genetics that it is best strained through the proven filter of nature. This is why fascism is incompatible with evolution so long as we are talking about an evolution towards a higher type of man. Fascism jeopardises the progress of man by exposing his evolution to arrant human error. Furthermore, the environment fascism brings is adverse to the nurture of genius, which is the goal of all evolution. Fascism saturates peoples in politics and other mentally-crippling nonsense effectively killing whatever spark of genius was within them.

As you have heard so far, fascism is anti-natural selection, anti-nature and, therefore, a form of degeneration. This degeneracy presents itself not only through the lack of culture, genius or the desertion thereof, but through their economic policies, which mirror fascist racial policies. Fascists are anti laissez-faire, and laissez-faire is the universal indicator of true social darwinists. Good businesses will survive, bad businesses will fail---laissez-faire. In fascism it is inevitable for failures of businesses to be preserved, and this makes a true darwinist cringe.

For the enlightenment of the audience, I would also like to dispel some fallacies about evolution, the most preposterous of which is that evolution is outdated. What an utterly ridiculous statement! Evolution is a law of nature. And we cannot shirk from it or pretend it does not exist just because its process is unforgiving. Nature is unforgiving. Evolution's goal also is not equality, but change for the better, for supremacy. If nature followed the belief of Mr Nihlus Kryik, we would all be in a state of stagnation.

I would also further like to add that equality is nothing more than wishful thinking. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen."

Henry Vogler looked down at the audience. His secretary saved him a seat.

"But, esteemed attendants of this conference", speaks Guru Sindhan Perangnan from the "Malivian Committee for Gerajan Welfare Studies", sitting cross-legged on a cushion cleverly designed to resemble a bed of nails, "please, dear collegues! We can not have a sufficient or productive discussion on this matter, if we do not define, at the beginning, what we mean by Fascism. We have seen lots of ideologies in Terra that have been given this adjective, but they all seem to be different from each other none the less. What is it, then, that makes an ideology a fascist one?"

"If there are many different views with regards to what fascism is, how will we answer your last question?", was the short comment of the Kafuri Representative.

And the Malivian representative smiled contently, knowing he just proved his point. "Malivia made a difference," he thought to himself, "thank the Gods!"

"Colleagues colleagues! Certainly, this organisation can go about and try to define true fascism!
We can start with militarism, state above all, ultra-conservative, those kind of stuff."

"We can agree with militarism and state above all being key signs of a fascist ideology. However, Ultra-Conservative is just another term that has to be defined to be of use to us.
Furthermore, even though militarism and state above surely are part of a fascist ideology, they are also part of most authoritary regimes, and have also often been attributes of extreme communism in Terra."

Members,

Robert Pelletier, a professor emeritus at Alfred Vonarburg University in Val Alfred (Vonarburg State), defines fascism in his book The Anatomy of Fascism as: "A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion."

Fascism begins when the state authorizes the torture of its citizens. The State shall protect all its citizens. The State has the duty to be neutral and not to disadvantage certain groups.

No situation justifies the hatred of others and state violence against those it has a duty to protect.
