MU Resolution: MU HOS Reform

Article 1: The MU HOS shall express or sign his/her loyalty to the MU upon taking office. Unless otherwise stated, expression or signed loyalty to the MU is assumed.

Article 2: In the event the MU HOS expresses an obvious opinion against the MU and his/her very office, he/she shall be removed from office and the next available nation shall host the MU HOS.

Article 3: The MU HOS shall always be the elected official elected by the people to his/her office. If a Monarch is elected HOS, he/she shall qualify for the MU HOS. However, a Monarch with an elected HOS shall not be the MU HOS, but rather the elected HOS presiding shall be. For example, King A's Governor General shall be the MU HOS, and not King A himself.

Article 4: In the event the Monarch and elected HOS are in conflict and thus a de facto civil war, this nation shall be skipped in the rotation to the next available nation in the rotation. In the event the nation hosting the MU HOS is in rebellion or civil war for any other reason, this nation shall be skipped to the next available nation in the rotation.

Article 5: The MU HOS has the option of resigning from his/her office; the next available nation in the rotation shall fullfill the resigning MU HOS's term in addition to their own term.

Article 6: The MU HOS may be impeached by the MU legislature by a 2/3rds vote. The next available nation in the rotation shall fullfill the impeached MU HOS's term in addition to their own term.

MU Paramilitary Policy

Article 1: Those parties belonging to the MU Party Organization shall pledge their paramilitary forces to the MU in the event one or more MU nations are attacked. Their nations need not have signed either the MU treaty or the Associate MU treaty.

Article 2: In the event the paramilitary forces or parties are offensively harrassed, arrested, imprisoned, persecuted, face civil war, etc by another party or foreign power it shall be an act of war against the MU. This shall trigger an automatic military response by the MU under the command of the Allied Commander.

Article 3: Paramilitary forces or parties that are members of the MU Party organization shall not attack the other under any circumstances. Failure to comply with this article shall result in automatic termination of membership by offending paramilitary or party.

Article 3: This resolution shall supersede domestic laws concerning paramilitaries towards each party joined.

Article 4: The Leader(s) of the MU Party organization reserves the right to remove a paramilitary or party from the MU Party organization for any reason. However, the Leader(s) of the MU Party organization shall not terminate the membership of a paramilitary or party while they are currently distress.

Article 5: The MU Party organization shall have a Militia Commander up to a Four Star General who shall be under the command of the Allied Commander. The Militia Commander shall make military decisions for all paramilitary forces of nations not signed to the MU treaty or Associate MU treaty. The Militia Commander and the Allied Commander may not be the same individual or be from the same nation at the same time. The Militia Commander shall be rotational every two years among the MU Party organization's leaders.

"These actions being taken by the MU will only further the divide between your own nations and all those that oppose you. If the MU should pass this paramilitary policy then Deltaria will move to place stricter sanctions on MU nations for the sake of our well-being and in the pursuit of freedom. I once again call on MU leaders to please begin diplomatic negotiations so that this divide in the Majatra can end and our people can stop living with this constant fear of war and destruction."

If both sides agree, Gaduridos would like to bring them to the table in a Conference of Reconciliation and Compromise, so we can maintain peace and stability within Majatra.

Any stricter sanctions by Deltaria on the MU will result in retaliatory sanctions by the MU on Deltaria. Seeing as how the MU is now larger than those who oppose it, it will be a greater loss for Deltaria. It was Deltaria and allies who struck first with their sanctions; not the MU. The paramilitary resolution if passed will create greater peace and stability to the MU as well as the rest of Terra. Eventually, the MU will become so powerful that anyone who joins it will receive permanent peace.

"My administration has recently created this agreement to work toward peace in the South Majatara between all nations MU and non-MU. While Deltaria stills holds the same dissapproval of the MUs structure and my party has serious concerns of the goals of the MU we now understand that we must learn to co-exist with this union whether we approve or not. The Majataran Union is a major power on the continent both militarily and economically this cannot be doubted. The standoff between MU memberstates and those opposed must end, it stands in the way of prosperity and advancement. I urge all eligible MU memberstates to ratify the agreement and attend the confrence. It is time to move away from the wounds of the past. Discussions are being held in my government on lifting sanctions on MU memberstates if an agreement can be reached at the Confrence."

While I appreciate Mr. Todd's intentions, I disagree with him. The Majatran Union is the creeping danger, the great beast that threatens to swallow Terra. The Coburan Foreign Ministry does not support a policy of appeasement, and vows to take a strong anti-MU stance. We encourage our friends abroad to join Cobura in this position, and we call upon our friends at home to seek out any Pan-Majatranist subversive elements in Cobura. The Unionists will not win. I will not let them win.

"Minister Rivers I agree with you the MU is danger to the sovreignity of all nations however we cannot end that threat through military build-ups and Economic isolation. Despite costly arms races and harsh economic sanctions the Majatran Union still remains a large power on the continent after over 35 years. If we want to see the threat to our nations removed then dialoge and diplomacy are needed with the Majatran Union. I do not advocate appeasment but rather a reset of relations."
