Ethan Danglers, Foreign Minister of Solentia and Chair of the Council of Majatra:
"The chair recognizes the Barmenian representative to speak before the Council. Meanwhile, I would ask the Dorvish representative the question "What is your reason for involving a dispute with Wantuni???"
"Rocking Solentia since 3380"
"Socio-capitalism is the way"

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bernhard Xylander re-took the podium after the Barmenian representative took the podium. "Fantastic question Chairman Ethan Danglers. Dorvik has always had a vested interest in the preservation of human rights and the Majatran spirit, our friends in Kafuristan can vouch that we have for a long time taken a vested interest in protecting our Majatran friends and the Kalopians are no different. While they are not the most innocent, we surely cannot stand by and permit it to happen."

Nathir Aked, Foreign Minister of the Felinist Republic of Barmenia took the podium and stated:

Honourable representatives of the free world in Majatra.

There are two issues we would like to raise. Firstly: the Wantuni question, which has already been thoroughly debated here. Yes, the Wantuni Hegemony is not a democratic entity, and there are several human right issues to be concerned about. However, as representatives of the civilized, democratic free world, it is our duty to stay calm, analyse the situation, and not hastily dig up the battle axe - which is what makes us different from these underdeveloped and unfree regions of our cntinent. The creation of the Wantuni Hegemony is a result of centuries of monarchistic dictatorship and ethnic hatred from Kalopian nationalists. While we are the first to recognize that there are no excuses for any form of ethnic genocide or discrimination - after all we have bee the first to raise concerns about similar behaviour against Selucians in Pontesi in the past - we feel that meeting this cycle of hatred and violence with more violence should not be our first option. Respect and understanding is the way - we should seek to engage in talks with the President of the Wantuni Hegemony and hist government - and find out a solution that puts the level of human rights in the nation on a level tolerable for us.

Secondly - we would like to turn the attention to Pontesi once more. Through the threat of civil war and another age of opression of minorities like Selucians or the Abadi seems to be over for the movement - the threat of anarchy and disorder seems to have replaced it. We are severely concerned that Pontesi doesn't seem to have a working proper government as for now and would like the Union to intervene - in some way found reasonable - to change this. Furthermore - we are deeply concerned about the Pontesian colonization of Vorona. Pontesi has for centuries - through the exploitive criminal enterprise known as the "Imperial East Terra Company" - engaged in an imperialistic and colonial behaviour against developing countries. We feel that this is not an acceptable behaviour for a country that claims to be a member of this glorious organisation and would like to see the Union take action against this behaviour - lest another people will be put under the whip of the Pontesian slavemaster.

Representative Jorah Gullimant rises to speak:
"These are troubling times we live in and our new friends from Bamenia raise good points on what is going on in our northern corner. However we must be calm and collected about how we continue to approach the Pontsei and Wantuni questions. Wantuni seems to be the most pressing issue. There are already violent demonstrations against us and the government has been very belligerent toward our overtures to bring down the rhetoric and launch an investigation. It is at this time I ask Kafuristan to talk with the Wantuni government to calm the situation down and to try and figure out what is happening. We must not lose our resolve to see the matter through yet we must not let anger get the best of us. Zardugal is preparing to launch its own investigation into the matter and we will be taking measured action soon. We ask all those involved not to take hasty or rash action as it could endanger us all. We must investigate first and later act upon the findings. With that said I am uneasy about letting the IHRM solely investigate and would prefer them to work through the MHRC.
Now dealing with Pontsei it is clear more drastic action needs to be taken. We ask the council to refer the situation there to the MSC so as to create a plan for a peacekeeping mission there to take hold and stabilize the country until a government can be formed. Zardugal is willing to send 2000 peacekeepers as part of a UMN mission to the country and we ask other members of the UMN to commit peacekeepers and financial aid to the operation."

General Naveed ibn Firdos al-Hashem, Permanent Representative to the UMN:
"Gentlemen, let me first make it clear that the my Government is not pleased at all about this situation. The Government of the Majatran Republic of Kafuristan is torn between its friendship and alliance with the Dorvish Federation and our blood ties with our Majatran brethren in Wantuni. Like stated before, my Government finds that the Wantuni Hegemony is within it right to combat foreign-backed terrorists and Kalopian extremists, who undermine the stability and security of the Wantuni State. Kafuristan opposes any actions or sanctions against the Wantuni Hegemony and even believes this organization should help our Wantuni Brothers in their fight against Kalopian terrorism. Kafuristan will not allow a miltary intervention to happen in the Wantuni Hegemony.

In recent months foreign backed Kalopian extremist have tried to export their anti-Majatran views to Kafuristan by establishing the Neo-North Kalopian Liberation Front. My Government has reasons to believe this group is backed by foreign powers who seek to overthrow the legitimate Government of Kafuristan and install a puppit regime that allows these foreign powers acces to Kafuristan's oil reserves. Kafuristan believes these foreign powers are the some ones that back the Kalopian terrorists in Wantuni. Seeing that Kafuristan combats the same foreing backed terrorists as our Wantuni Brothers, my Government wishes to offer our Brothers in Wantuni our help in their struggle."

Delegate Jorah Gullimant rises:
"Fellow delegates we cannot hesitate any longer. Every day, every week and what has turned into every month of our inaction makes the situation more complicated, more uncontrollable and more damaging to the UMN, Majatra and Terra as a whole. Regardless of whether or not they are foreign backed the situation has moved far from being able to hide behind that excuse. The UMN, for the sake of our credibility must now take a stronger stance then we would have liked to before because of our inaction.
Everyday the regime becomes more and more erratic leveling baseless charges against Luthori now and sparking a greater Majatran crisis that threatens to bring down stability. As such I first propose the Council of Majatra approve the following statement for release:
The Council of Majatra and the members of the Union of Majatran Nations deplore the acts of violence on all sides in Wantuni and we call for all sides to back away from violence and to respect basic human rights to ensure no persons are mistreated or abused.

Also I call for the Council to approve Resolution 002 which shall state:
Be it resolved that the Council of Majatra hereby authorizes the following actions:
1. The Council of Majatra hereby refers the current situation in Wantuni to the Majatra Human Rights Council for further investigation and that the MHRC shall report back on its findings in a reasonable amount of time and recommend an appropriate course of action the council can take.
2. Because of the recent erratic statements coming from the Wantuni Hegemony and their non-interaction with the UMN the Council of Majatra hereby suspends the membership of Wantuni in the UMN until such a time as the investigation is resolved and the government works with the UMN.
