The Ibutho government is hosting a special international conference in Isizinda on the theme of "Retirement in Ibutho". All interested parties from across Terra are most welcome to attend.
The Right Honourable Phumlani Kaleni, Minister of Health & Social Services
Phumlani Kaleni, Ibutho's Minister of Health & Social Services, kicks off the conference with a short speech:
All around Terra, families and governments are struggling to look after their old people. More and more, your elderly people are neglected and not treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. For us in Ibutho, this is not only scandalous - it is ridiculous! Your societies are so wealthy and so materialistic that you have lost sight of what is really important - your own families - even your own mothers and fathers! Your societies care more about consuming things they don't need than about the people who depend on you the most. Shame on you!
Well, we in Ibutho have a solution for you. If you don't want your old people, we do! Put them on a boat and send them to us. For a modest fee of 1000 Beads per old person per year - which is a pittance to you people - we will guarantee your old ones a standard of care and a quality of life they could only dream about in their own countries. Here in Ibutho, elders are revered for their maturity, wisdom and experience. We will place your old people with good, wholesome Ibutho families who will look after them like one of their own.
Ibutho is the best place in Terra to live. International research shows that although we are not the richest of nations, our people are happier and less stressed than anywhere else. That is why we are saying to those nations that don't want to look after their old people that we have the perfect solution for them. Help us to help you! We'll get the fees, which are paltry to you but which will be a lot to us. And you'll save a fortune on your care bills and be able to rest assured your senior citizens are being looked after properly.
Kaleni proceeds to use a projector to display a series of images, mainly of foreign citizens who have settled down to a happy retirement in Ibutho.
