Does Vanuku have the right to restrain Paul Murphy-Spaak?

Postby M13 » Thu Oct 02, 2014 10:34 am

Paul Murphy-Spaak is being placed under arrest for 8 years now. Apart from an initial hearing, there still hasn't been any trial. The efforts the Lodamese Government and LNC officials have made seem effortless. Vanuku doesn't seem to feel th eneed to even reply. We would like to know if the arrest of Paul Murphy-Spaak, arrested and charged with a crime he didn't commit, is legal.
Paul and his family do are not been given the opportunity to have contact with one another whatsoever. Paul has complained about torture and psychological torment the last time we have heared from him.

"Mr. Murphy-Spaak subjected himself to the laws of our nation when entering, citing himself as a political refugee. According to the constitution in Vanuku political refugees are not exempt from prosecution if they are responsible for things that are considered crimes by Vanuku's set of laws. Mr. Murphy-Spaak is the former leader of a political organization in Lodamun that took up the role to mutilate Hosians, there are further suspicions this organization is also involved in Hosian genocide. As mr. Murphy-Spaak resides in Vanuku he can be held accountable for crimes in the past and as leader of this organization he can not claim that he is not involved."

Mr. Murphy-Spaak has been arrested on nothing more than a suspicion, which remains a suspicion after many years of investigation. Mr. Murphy-Spaak can not be held responsible for things that might have occured in accordance with law and legislators. If the legislators take a decision, it is harsh to arrest a chairman that even wasn't part of the government at the time of the decision.
Mr. Murphy-Spaak fled Lodamun when he felt in danger for trying to get others safely out of the country, so the part of being part of a genocide is total rubbish.
Paul Murphy-Spaak is an integer politician with the heart at the right place...
