Vanukuian-Lodamese Conference

Richard Courtois hopefull
April 3738

Port Golavia- Richard Courtois, who was appointed delegate to discuss some issues with Gekroonde Republiek Vanuku, has adressed the Lodamese Presidium yesterday. He was very hopefull and very pleased with how his visit to Vanuku had enrolled.
"The welcoming was warm and professional. We were able to have conversations in a peaceful and relaxing environment. The people of Vanuku mostly are worried about the constant treath of Lodamun to intervene in a military way. They, just like we do, want to have a peaceful solution to the issue Paul Murphy-Spaak."
Richard was able to briefly have a conversation with Paul, who remains emprisonned at this time: "He looked fine, considered the circumstances. We was very pleased to see me. He told me he misses his family and, if he returns, all of his time will go to his wife, children and grandchildren."
Afterwards there was a long meeting between Richard and Clothilde Dewitte, LNC Minister of Foreign Affairs. It seems Clothilde is looking for a way to draft a treaty between Vanuku and Lodamun. Tomorrow, Richard will be leaving the country again and will head to Vanuku. Probably, Clothilde will follow him soon aswell, once we get to concrete propositions.

Clothilde Dewitte
LNC
Lodamese Minister of Foreign Affairs

I give Richard Courtois the right to negotiate on my behalf.
We want the release of Paul Murphy-Spaak and we would want a diplomatic and unarmed delegation to be admitted into Vanuku, if necessary under guidance of Vanukuian officials, to escort Paul back to Lodamun.
We want to talk to Vanukuian officials or a delegation to get to an agreement.
We promise that any Vanukuian official will be welcome in Lodamun and will not be harrassed in any way to discuss the matter.
We promise we will do anything in our might to prevent any act of agression against Vanuku, now and in the future.
We desire to work out and draft a treaty together with Vanuku between our two nations.

Mr. Courtois is extremely welcome in our nation. The well-mannered and skilled diplomat has been an excellent guest and I hope our nation has been a warm host to him so far.

Our nation is worried, and has been worried for decades about the situation in Lodamun. In Lodamun people are considered inferior because of their beliefs. When mr. Murphy-Spaak entered our nation we thought he fled because he supported Hosians, we were given this image as well. To our shock the opposite was true and the LNC was a part of the mutilation campaign against Hosians. We are willing to let an international, neutral, court review this case and hopefully make a statement against the situation in Lodamun.

Vanuku has also been receiving threats of military action from Lodamun. Our nation remains steadfast on this matter, we wish to avoid war but if our sovereignty is violated we will view that as a declaration of war and the Tripartite Alliance will assist our nation.

We yield the floor to mr. Courtois.

Richard Courtois
Delegation Leader

I've had the chance to speak to Mr. Murphy-Spaak, and he agrees with an international, neutral trial.
He wishes, eventhough, to be transferred to another facility, where he can stay in detention with a minimum of restraints.
Mr. Murphy-Spaak, 63 years of age, has promised not to make any attempt to flee of escape.

I can declare that Paul is in good physical condition.

Mr. Murphy-Spaak has been returned to his private residence in the center of Wiel where he previously lived. He is also allowed to leave his house under guidance to visit local shops or cultural sites to entertain himself during the wait. We propose the LNC decides the nation where the trial is to take place, then Vanuku will take care of handing mr. Murphy-Spaak over to said nation. We trust on the good will and cooperation of mr. Murphy-Spaak with these loose and generous rules.

We also wish to inform that the previous delegate, mr. Salyzr, has retired after many decades of loyal service to our state.
