MOTION SECONDED

Senator McArthur: Mr Speaker, I contend that it is not that the aid is not there but, that for some reason the aid is not getting to those who need it. Therefore I would like to motion that an investigation should be launched to determine the cause of this.

Mrs. Silverman: "I second the motion Mr. Speaker. An investigation is necessary in order to fully understand the scope of this issue."

Speaker (Mr. Collet): "The motion has passed. The Congressional Research Service will begin an investigation into the legitimacy of the claims made by the UltraNationalist Party. With that being decided, I officially adjourn this committee until tomorrow evening. Tomorrow's hearing will occur at 5 PM (Eastern Standard Time). I hope to see you all there. Thank you for your time this evening, goodnight."

*What begins as a small peaceful protest, quickly descends into complete anarchy when drunken supporters of the Ultranationalist Party arrive*

*Outside the building, sirens are heard as the police arrive to disperse drunken and disruptive activists*

Ultranationalist Supporters: We want change! We want change! We want change!

Speaker (Mr. Collet): "The Committee will be at order. Today we will return to discussion on poverty in the East End of Bekenial. The Census Bureau has determined that a problem does exist, however not nearly to the extent that the UNP had reported. So that being said we will begin this evening's hearings."

Senator McArthur: Mr Speaker, is there any further insight as to why aid is not being received by the intended recipients?

Mrs. Harris: "Mr. Speaker, in response to that question I motion to call to the stand Madam Maria Gonzalez, Minister of Health and Social Services; and I motion to begin a period of questioning for Madam Gonzalez. "

Image

Speaker (Mr. Collet): "Without objection."

OOC: During this period of questioning, each member will be allowed to ask Minister of Health and Social Services Maria Gonzalez a maximum of 2 questions per member. (Each party therefore can ask 6 questions total). The only major difference here is that to make a motion to close the period of questioning you need to PM me as to not interrupt the questioning. Please wait until the previous question is answered before asking a new question.
