Eleonore Poirier of the Aldurian Civil Liberties Association has written to the World Freedom Alliance to urge them to "draw the attention of Terra to the pending execution of Lord Medivh Evil in Davostag". "This gentleman is not an exemplar of liberal values," she wrote, "but he is nevertheless a victim of state oppression, and it is the duty of civil liberties advocates to speak out against this". She also criticised the Aldurian government for being "weak-willed" in its refusal to condemn or comment upon Lord Medivh Evil's case. "If civil liberties mean anything at all, then they should be defended even when the victim is unpopular," she said.

Lord Medivh Evil, a generally despised character, has elicited little sympathy in Alduria, although the website http://www.justice4lordmedivhevil.ald claims its online petition has amassed 2,149 signatures.

However, she called on the World Freedom Alliance to put pressure on Davostag to "put Lord Medivh Evil on trial, through a fair and transparent judicial process" instead of "just putting him in jail and throwing away the key through legislative fiat".
