Hutorian Foreign Affairs Minister Adam Wright raises first to speak. The veteran MP and long seen as Jessica Pickermin's most able lieutenant first in Parliament and now voice within the Coalition Cabinet had become a powerful force and voice on the world stage. It was his ardent hope that things could be resolved here. The dangerous game that was being played threatened the entire Makon continent. "We thank the Telamonese Delegation for their arrival and we thank them for understanding the seriousness of the situation. We are hoping that with this conference we will finally be able to settle our differences, and bury the hatchet between our nations before the situations evolves any further beyond our control. I open the floor to the Telamonese Delegates for an opening statement before we get down to business."

Mr Isak Svensson, a diplomat known for his temper and for being a tough negotiator looked at the Hutorian delegation with his gray and cold hawk eyes, he opened his mouth:

"Minister Wright, and the rest of the Hutorian delegation *Svensson made sure to have eye contact with every Hutori and nodded gently towards each and everyone of them*, it is indeed ill fortune that we can not come to a common ground regarding the Benson Air Force Base, but clearly the international pressure on the Hutorian nation must be great, especially with the rumors of the Collective Security and Cooperation Organzation supporting the Telamonese cause".

He continued:

"As I we see it, the Hutorian government should allow the Telamonese judical system have it's due process with the lawsuit against the Hutorian government and both Telamon and Hutori should accept any verdict of the court. Mr Isak looked and smirked at Minister Wright and said: "After all, we are all civilized and promote the rule of law, don't we all?".

Wright had spent years honing his debating skills and his political mask on the floor of the House of Parliament. The smirk he received from Svensson had already proven that the Telamonese believed that they were walking in here with all the advantages, and that this little court case was in fact supposed to scare them. Wright had been chosen by Pickermin to be the Foreign Affairs Minister because he didn't crack under pressure... and because he was known to never yield. "Indeed we are Mr. Svensson, the Kingdom of Hutori and the United States and Telamon are indeed nations that promote the rules of law... but it would seem that the UST doesn't believe in it."

From a folder Wright present a copy of the Telamon Morning Post with an article about the Ambassador Patrick Dale. "It would seem that the media in your nation doesn't follow the laws about Media Regulation. From what I've seen and know about Telamonese Law and from what Ambassador Dale here knows it is illegal for news to report False Information. Considering this article is indeed entirely a fabrication and on the night of question that this receipt shows Ambassador Dale was in Bekenial at a Dinner Party at Steuart House with nearly two hundred and fifty witnesses that have testified as such you'll understand why my government is a little... apprehensive... about trusting this issue in the United States. Your primary media outlet flagrantly broke the law without any repercussions. The law aside if this was to be convened in a Telamonese Court, with a Telamonese Judge, and a Telamonese Jury, we feel that the verdict would be automatically bias towards the Telamonese Government and against our own... it wouldn't matter how good or effective our defence was, it would be sabotaged from the beginning. Of course I'm sure the Telamonese government hadn't considered that part so our government is more then willing to look past it."

He made direct eye contact with Svensson who own piercing eyes sent the message home with each word. "So instead of jumping around the issue let's get back to... as you put it... being civilized nations and get to the matter at hand."

Once again Svensson smiled and replied: Minister Wright, If that were the case, it is up to Ambassador Patrick to sue the responsible publisher for defamation. The Telamonese government will not stop nor prosecute journalists because of a published article. It will be settled in a court.

Now back to the matter at hand, We will hereby inform you that United States will use force to take back the Benson Air Force Base. The Hutori Airforce no longer have any legal rights to use the base or Telamonese Airspace. As of next week any Hutorian military aircrafts will be treated as an incursion of the Telamonese airspace. Economic sanctions and travel bans will follow.

When Isak finishes his last line the Telamonese delegation walks out of the conference.
