The state of Vanuku has already taken the liberty remove any imposed sanctions, our active fleet had already been returned during our internal strife. We wish to welcome back Selucia on the Council now that their internal problems have vanished as well.

"My fellow Majatrans, our continent has been shook by terrible violence and instability. The Communist uprising in Kafuristan makes the spectre of the entire Majatran unity project being undone. The unity, peace, security and stability of Majatra is threatened at its very core. We must act swiftly and decisively to contain the damage caused by this uprising. We propose sanctions on the Kafuri regime, including trade embargo on their energy exports and products, an arms trading embargo, travel bans and asset freezes of the regime and its higher leadership and heavy trade restrictions along with trade penalties for nations abroad who purchase Kafuri energy products and sell the government there arms."

Adam Figrote
Zardic Permanent Representative to the MU

Resolution 101
Section 1. The Council of Majatra hereby condemns the violent uprising of the communists in Kafuristan and the severe deterioration of human rights and complete disregard of diplomatic protocol exhibited by the country.
Section 2. The Council hereby declares a MU wide embargo on the trade of energy products to and from Kafuristan including but not limited to: oil, refined gas, natural gas, petrochemical products, the loaning of money and credit to finance petro operations, the technical assistance to create such products and all other acts which can support the energy sector of Kafuristan.
Section 3. All members of the party Politburo, and the Cabinet, including the executive leadership is placed under a travel ban and asset freeze. No MU nation shall allow the travel of these people to their country or assist them in travel elsewhere.
Section 4. The Kafuri Government in Exile is recognized as the legitimate successor state to the Caliphate and shall take Kafuristan's spot in the Majatran Union. All former accounts based abroad, in MU nations and related to the old Razamid Government are to be frozen and re-directed to the Government in Exile.
Section 5. No member of the Majatran Union may supply arms, munitions or any military or police equipment to the communist authorities of Kafuristan.
Section 6. No business or other entity based in an MU nation may do business or trade with a government owned entity in Kafuristan. Any dealings with private entities will be handled with care so as to not benefit the government and be closely monitored by the relevant MU authorities.
Section 7. Majatran Union approved charities and humanitarian groups will, on a case by case basis be waived of above restrictions to provide humanitarian support to the people of Kafuristan.
Section 8. Nations not part of the MU who don't observe the arms embargo and the energy embargo shall be subject to increased trade restrictions when dealing with MU nations.

"We accept these measures in hope to put this chaos to an end. Not only is this revolution affecting Kafuristan's people but it is violating the entire stability of Majatra. I ask our neighbors amongst this council to accept these measures for the safety of all. Sanctions are an effective method in doing this and I praise Adam Figrote for his proposal."

The delegate for Solentia requests that prior to agreeing to any protective or punitive actions that a committee be formed and charged with exploring the validity of claims vis a vis the so called situation in Kafuristan. It is one thing to discuss trade and goodwill, but quite another to go stomping through another nation's entene. Haste makes waste, I always say.

And now my good fellows, I shall be in the lounge enjoying a brandy and cigar. I trust my fellows will put the chore of sorting this hullaballoo out to some experts and join me for conversation.
