After a touristic visit through the most important Pontesian antiques, the politicians enter into a chamber in the Palace of Dawnstar.
Greetings, Mr. Papazian,
I'm glad we could arrange this meeting in a very short period of time. In those times, it's important to show that politics should be done both well and fast. I decided to come here after the last news that came from your nation. Although Pontesi is advanced in some matters of civil liberties, Selucia is worried about the recent events involving the rest of political parties in Pontesi. Having Selucia the only progressist Government in Northern Majatra, and working in coalition with the center-right party Factio Fortuna, we would like to show you that, first of all, the left is not something coming directly from hell, it's not something to be afraid of. The left or the right,
in general are not bad, the problem comes when the wrong people comes to power. The second thing is that, in a democracy, all political ideologies should be respected, as long as they respect the basic principles of human dignity and liberty.
Mr. Jerzr Laskaris, Head of Government of Selucia, announced before his travel his intentions, which included the defence of political liberty and freedom of thought.
We've seen that the other major party in Pontesian politics, should not be illegal in matters of ideology. If some of its leaders go against the national law, it's a matter of the national justice to valorate if they have made an offence, but censore an entire ideology is something wrong. In other case, we would like to see the proofs that your Government has to call this party "a terrorist organisation", as in those times, this name is very dangerous.
After expressing his opinion on this issue, Mr. Laskaris proceed to the following matter
we would also like to ask the Pontesian Government not to follow the xenophobic measures of some Majatran nations, that have decided that no one except a little group that agrees with the Government policies should be respected. Once again, we want to say that respect to freedom of religion, race, sex, age, sexual orientation, etc, is of common sense, the basic principle of humanity. We must also help those who are in need, because we dont know what can happen to us. We should put ourselves in their skin. What if some day, it is our citizens the ones that need protection in other nations, and they refuse to give it because of their nation of origin,
religion..? We ask the Pontesian Government to think about that
