November 3856 - The government of the Great Empire of Mikuni-Harustoria has called a conference on the formation of Mikokuzin Union, a ambition long held by Gao-Showan Nationalists but never before achieved. This follows closely on from Wu Yuno's inpromptu speech calling for a Mikokuzin Union at the Ishinawa Conference, in which she stated that it was the "only way to properly bring order to the continent" and "shut out interfence in our regional affairs by Western powers".
Such a union would be immensely powerful, especially considering the power of the Hulstro-Mikun military, Indrala's immense influence and prestige and the much-expected resurgence of Dankuk on the world stage. However, many doubt that full union will realisable, given that nearly all the states involved in the negotiations are authoritarian monarchies who will wish to retain control within their own realm and will likely reject vassalisation to any other monarch. However, pan-Dovani and pan-Mikokuzin sentiments are running high - and to reject these negotiations unilaterally would risk another wave of radical pan-nationalist uprisings which have caused chaos in Dovani in the past.
