The 'Girzekdinov - Apellas' Meeting

Polykratos, Kalopia

Mr. Girzekdinov was greeted in Polykratos with great rounds of cheer and applause by the gathering crowd, as he was seen entering the parliament to be welcomed by Diktátor Apellas, who would finally appear in front of the cameras, for simply the first time ever. The men shook hands and smiled in front of the flashing cameras. Diktátor's words were as following:

"We welcome this great leader of a glorious nation to which we so proudly neighbor. I only hope Mr. Mustafa can endure the awfulness of mosquitoes during this season, because frankly, I personally can't stand them! I sincerely hope you shall enjoy your stay here in Kalopia and besides talks and business, you experience the real Kalopia. We are always at your disposal. May these discussions prove to be fruitful, and they only will be for both sides and the main interest!"

The two men shared no further details in front of the cameras, but quickly attested to polite words about the traditions and culture and longstanding history of both nations. In the afternoon, they all retreated to their residences, with Mr. Girzekdinov being accommodated in the Astár Hotel in a panoramic vicinity of Polykratos, with a view of the marvelous ancient ruins of Domelikos which tower the city. The following day, the media were greeted in a small meeting room for 12 people, where Mr. Apellas and Mr. Mustafa sat near each other, with their delegates at the ready. Our glorious leader addressed the press accordingly, with his opening remarks:

"Good morning to the citizens of the world. I address these difficult times with direct and decisive measures. My dream is what represents the wills of millions of people, who desire nothing more than peace, stability and glory. But in the face of the burning sun, we saw our glorious neighbors and witnessed a burnt line of friendship that was forgotten throughout the ages. We were saddened by that fact and as we work for all internal issues for Kalopia, we shall dedicate our lives and pride to maintain foreign relations as well. We desire wealth, we desire all that is for the greater good. Superiority is what defines the Kafuris and Kalopians alike. And that fact we must never forget.

I come upon this day with my fellow friend and colleague Mr. Girzednikov not to work in our individual interests, but to work as a group, to help others and achieve immortality. To unite. To flourish. Perhaps, and I dare say that with extensive normality, these discussions will not provide the desired results we superiors seek. Perhaps nothing will be achieved. Maybe all these will remain just that, mere words, and I mean no disrespect to you, Mr. Mustafa, because I above all desire to become friends. My only and solid wish is to make this discussion so fruitful so that when you exit this building, you will not forget our hospitality, and we will not forget your kindness and generosity. I speak not of personal gain and national interests. I speak of united glory. Above all I desire, even if plans fail, that my people learn the values and greatness of your people, and we can flourish as a great and powerful unity, superior in time and benevolent. I seek meaning in the shaking of hands.

But enough, we have days ahead of us and little time to address our issues. Mr. Mustafa?"

Mustafa Girzekdinov was very short in his opening statement. "Apellas is well known man of honor and so is every Kalopian person. I am very proud to be here, sit next to this great man and work for future together!"

This meeting has been postponed for the moment due to the sudden riots and the collapse of the government, while the security will handle Mr. Girzekdinov's escort to the airport and his safe departure from the nation.
