MPR News 24: Official Meiruvian Coverage of the State Visit

Mark Crombie
Good Evening, I have here at Mystur Airport where in a few hours time the Queen shall be receiving the Emperor of Kiurland and the Grand Duke of Talmor. This will be the Queen's first Official State Visit to host, and this will be the first in many generations. But, let me tell you how we got here.

Cut to footage previously taken
Mark Crombie
Hello, and I am standing outside the Office of the Lord Chamberlain of the Household, the Office that is doing the brunt of the organisation for the State Visit. Of course, it isn't a one office type of job, we also have the Foreign Office and the Office of the Lord Chancellor handling this ordeal. We also have the Royal Meiruvian Forces and the Metropolitan Police Force handling Security. Many socialites within the Orbital Route have been planning this visit for weeks, hoping to get into one of the parties or dinners that the Palace or one of the Embassies have been hosting. Many people have been hoping to receive one of these (He shows a invitation to one of the palace dinners) in the post. But they are so few and far between. Of course, some Mysturians haven't been to happy about the trip.

Ted Nugent
Why must they come at the most inconvenient time, it doesn't help that they'll tie up the city with their motorcades.

Mark Crombie
The Lord Mayor here in Mystur has promised to get more trains and operate the tube longer to help diminish the traffic. In fact, the Congestion Charge isn't even in effect during the 11 days that the Talmorians and the Kiurlish will be here.

End of Footage

Mark Crombie
Now all we can do is wait, according to the Talmorian Wire Services we have heard that the Talmorian Delegation has taken off and will be here within a few hours, the Kiurlish shall be leaving later in the day, I'm Mark Crombie reporting from Mystur Airport.

The Talmorian Delegation has arrived!

After a pleasant journey by plane, the Talmorian delegation has arrived in Meiru in the best of spirits. Everyone is looking forward to finally meet Her Majesty the Queen and the Meiruvian Royal Family, especially His Majesty the Grand Duke, who has expressed his deep and sincere desire on many occasions to finally get to know his exalted colleague. Furthermore, the Talmorian delegates are eager to meet the Kiurlandish delegation and to improve their relations with these age-old adversaries.

But that is all water under the bridge now. History. Old news. By-gones that will remain by-gones. For a new era has begun! May this be an era of hope and peace and of understanding and international monarchical cooperation.

Talmor has every intention on bringing joy and spreading the Light! May it bless Meiru, its People and its Queen and may it shine upon Kiurland!

(OOC): How did I do? Was my first contribution ever to this forum up to standards;-)?

The Talmorian Delegation has arrived, His Majesty the Grand Duke gave a short statement while deplaning The Queen looked quite well and she gave quite a well speech to the Talmorian Delegation when they deplaned from the Grand Ducal Jet.

Her Majesty the Queen
Greetings, and allow me to be the first to welcome you to the United Kingdom of Meiru. I'm so glad to see you here, and that you have made it here well. I have been looking forward to this trip since I was a little girl. My grandfather was originally supposed visit you, but it never came to fruition, but anyway I digress. I am glad to see you now and I hope that this trip can be constructive for the good of not only our home countries, but for the good of Terra. We have a responsibility to be the port in the storm, the foundation, or even the bedrock to modern society. While all else crumbles we must stay solid. That was what we used to say, but now, we must help each other rise up so that way we can all stand firm as a society, united by human rights, peace and good governance.

The Lord Chancellor and his Family were there to see the Talmorian Delegation arrive, as well as the Chancellor of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs was in attendance. Once they arrived The Queen and the Talmorian Delegation went off to Crosham Palace where they shall await until they hear news of the arrival of the Kiurlish Delegation. The main part of the State Visit today is the arrival of the Official Delegations, regardless, all of the stops were put out. A honour guard from the Royal Meiruvian Forces met the delegation and the Motorcade containing The Queen and the Talmorian Delegation was escorted by the Metropolitan Police Force. Now, all we need to do is await the arrival of the Kiurlish delegation. I'm Mark Crombie at Mystur Airport, reporting for MPR News.

According to a statement released by Her Majesty's Embassy in Kiurland, the Official Delegation will not be kept waiting. The Ambassador of Kiurland sent a telegram to the Emperor of Kiurland that basically went along the lines of "Get on the plane and get here, or don't come at all", hopefully, the Kiurlish Delegation will not hold up the busy schedule planned by the Chancellor of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. Regardless of the Kiurlish, the trip will proceed on schedule within the next 48 hours. Reporting from outside Crosham Place, I am Mark Crombie and this is MPR News 24.

(OOC: I'm sorry that this took far too long. Things came up in my real life that I had to deal with. My real life comes first and if you aren't willing to meld this RP around my real life events like a considerate RPer, then I might as well not even participate. Things happen, you have to understand that. RPs get postponed all of the time because of real life events, but no one gets mad over that. You are bringing OOC events into IC, which is highly unprofessional.)

Aides and various delegates rushed about the main cabin of the large, private jet descending upon Mystur Airport. Hundreds of papers were being neatly jammed into briefcases; the final products being placed by the exit hatch. Everything had to be nice and neat, completely perfect, for Kiurland's arrival.

Moments before taxiing on the runway, the entire Imperial Family were being treated by hairdressers and makeup artists, attempting to ensure that the royals looked as young as possible, presenting an appealing image to the Meiruvian people. Emperor Haruto I absolutely hated being treated like a woman who cared about her looks. Personally, he would have just gotten off the plane to present his true self to the masses, but even he had to give in so that Kiurland may be represented perfectly.

Finally, the jet came to a halt. The entire delegation lined up before the exit in order of rank. Obviously the Emperor and Empress were together with the rest of the Imperial Family trailing behind. They were surrounded by five members of the Imperial Guard, armed with only standard police weaponry as so to not scare the Meiruvians. Behind the Imperial Family stood Imperial Chancellor Wilhelm Wettin, Chairman of the Imperial Monarchist Party, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Deon Bolton. The rest of the delegation consisted of the Kiurlish Ambassador to Meiru and a number of minor delegates and aides.

Within moments, the exit hatch opened to reveal an enormous crowd of cheering Meiruvians waving the flags of Meiru, Talmor, and Kiurland. Emperor Haruto I elegantly waved to the crowd, followed in the same fashion by the delegation. Every few seconds he would talk with individuals in the crowd about various Kiurlish subjects, especially concerning foreign relations with Meiru and Talmor.

In just a few hours, the first unofficial conference of the Three Monarchs would begin.

Good Morning, As you can see, i'm outside of Crosham Palace, where the Official Delegations are in the process of preparing for their first working day in their State Visit here to Meiru. According to the Itinerary released by the Lord Chamberlain's Office, the Talmorian Delegation shall visit the Lord Chancellor at Number 10 Crown Street until midday, while the Kiurlish Delegation shall be able to rest until their afternoon meeting with the Lord Chancellor. We have Andrew Crombie outside of Number 10 to fill us in on some details, Andrew?

Good Morning, as my elder brother said, I am outside of Number 10 Crown Street, where the Talmorian Delegation shall be arriving in a few moment, barring the infamous Mystur traffic. The meeting shall occur live here on MPR News, which is a first. We have heard that the meeting will revolve around a brunch, so I expect there will be some very interesting Meiruvian treats to devour by the Talmorian Delegation. Ohh, excuse me, I have just recieved word, that the Talmorian Delegation is arriving, we'll watch them come in:

The Talmorian Delegation arrives in a motorcade, the Grand Ducal Family, Chief Councillor and other Esteemed Guests get out of the cars. The Lord Chancellor greets them and begins to speak outside of the black door of Number 10.

The Mt Hon Christopher McKee RA PC MP
Your Majesty, Your Royal Highness, Esteemed Guests, on behalf of Her Majesty's Government and my family I would like to official welcome you to the United Kingdom of Meiru. I am so glad that we have finally been able to meet. Our Chancellor of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs has pushed for a official visit for years, and I am glad due to her efforts that we have been able to arrange this. I hope that we will make good progress, and have good faith that our accomplishments will be acknowledged for generations. Thank you all for coming, and I would now like to turn things over to the Grand Duke and Chief Councillor before we head inside and begin.

Erik: First of all, I understand and respect what you are saying. Indeed, RL always comes first. No question about that, so please watch your tone of voice a bit. Second, I did not know we have to be professional over this... For me it's a hobby, a passtime. It is certainly not - and never will be - a profession or job or something like that.

Greetings,

This is an OOC message.

I'm sorry but I have to be honest and upright with the both of you. I feel it's only fair to tell you, that I don't feel comfortable with this whole forum-thing. It just doesn't work for me and gives me very little pleasure. If you want to do it right - which is my aim of course - it takes an awful lot of time and energy. Time and energy I can't always afford to miss (due to RL circumstances). Posting some in-game-threads is something completely different then posting RP-messages on this forum. I realise that now, even though it is a bit late.

In a nutshell: I want to remain active in P2, but no longer on this forum. It is just to time-consuming. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I just underestimated it. I hope you understand.
