Fighting finally broke out in Al'Badara, forcing President French to cut his visit short. He expressed great sadness at the fighting and fear at his close proximity to it, but decided not to go home. Saying that friendship was needed now more than ever, French left next for Deltaria, hoping that the results of his visit will be more calm.

Itinerary: Deltaria, Pontesi

Jarl Zethi Dungeari during a conference about cultural identity

Jarl Zethi Dungeari is making preparations for the expected arrival of Coburan President Adam French in Dawnstar, capital of the Crusader Union. "We shall make sure that he gets here unharmed. The fascist rebels, at least the NRA, are likely to attempt to kidnap him, but we shall make sure that this won't happen. We will escort him by one of our stealth fighters. (it's run on biofuel of course!) Chances are that the fascist bandits won't even notice what's going on over their tiny little heads."

President French Continues with Planned Trip to Pontesi

Despite the volatility of the Union of Crusader Kingdoms/Pontesi, President French declared that he intended to adhere to his schedule and entered the airplane this morning. The move met with criticism of those who said that Pontesi was too unstable a region to host French, but he insisted that such diplomatic visits are all the more essential during times of turmoil. French assured the residents of Pontesi that he was not taking sides in the conflict, saying that it was not Cobura's place to declare either side the winner, and that he had no public opinion on the matter. He did say, however, that the Pontesi and Selucian leaders were welcome to meet for peace talks in Cobura, and that he would do all he could to help bring about peace if asked. French plans on meeting with Overlord Mederagaar and Minister Dungeari tomorrow to discuss matters of state and Union-Cobura friendship.

French Leaves Pontesi for Jelbania, Is Saddened by War

President French has left Pontesi for his final stop of Jelbania before returning home. It is not a journey of ecstasy, as French is saddened by the sorry state of war in Pontesi and his failure to ameliorate it. Offering once again his services as a mediator, French boarded the plane for Jelbania this afternoon. When asked what his plans were for Jelbania, he replied that he anticipated no difficulties and was looking forward to pleasant evenings spent with President Kennedy.
