Hastings and Brown Prepare to Visit Kazulia

Dranland's Prime Minister, Foreign Minster James Brown and President John Westwood are preparing for an official state visit to the Republic of Kazulia to open a new embassy there.

The new embassy will aim to the expand economic and cultural relationship with Dranland and Kazulia, two nations that are geographically close to each other. The embassy will also focus on improving tourism links between the two countries. It will employ 25 Dranish diplomats and 25 local staff when it opens in December 3393, although this number could rise as relations between the two countries are strengthened.

The new embasssy and state visit come as Dranland seeks to expand its' network of embassies abroad and strengthen ties with other nations. Dranland currently has a particularly strong relationship with Solentia, although thus has been on the decline recently following comments from the Solentian President Tobias Phillips.

"I think it's vitally important that Dranland does all it can to strengthen relationships with other countries, not only to improve business and trade links but also to expand cultural links with other nations" Mr Brown said.

The Dranish delegation will be hosted at the Queen Victoria Palace by the King of Kazulia.

Kazulian King officially invites Dranish President, PM and Foreign Minister to Palace

King James has appeared on Television to welcome a visit from a Dranish Diplomatic mission. The visit, organised by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and his counterpart in Dranland, is to coincide with the opening of the new Dranish Embassy in the Capital. The Foreign Office has arranged for an unoccupied building in Queen's Square to be transferred over to the Dranish for use as their official Embassy (see image below).

In the appearance, the King explained that he hoped that this would mark a new era of co-operation between our two nations. A large banquet is planned for the first evening of the visit, which will be held at the Queen Victoria Palace. The High Chancellor, senior government officials and the leadership of the Kazulian Conservative Party are all expected to attend, along with members of the Royal Family.

Preparations are underway in the Capital for the visit, and Dranish flags will appear on the national Mall next to Kazulian Flags. It is widely expected that the Dranish President will also host some sort of evening event at the new embassy during the visit.
