His visit will be 17 days long and it includes visits to 7 cities in all 5 Provinces. The Prime Minister is hoping that this visit will bring friendship between the two nations. Baltusia is now withdrawing from the Condemnation of Lodamun and us officially ready to move on into friendship. During this visit the two delegations will also discuss, a Friendship treaty and Oil pipelines between Lodamun and Baltusia which will be a huge economic boost for both nations. Here is some key things the Prime Minister said today in her speech,

We are very glad that this visit has finally begun. Not to long ago we were condemning Lodamun because of the old coalition that was in government. We are now applauding them in their new policies and it seems that Lodamun is finally making progress. We see no reason not to make friends with this nation, seeing that they are our neighbours and over 6% of our population is Lodamese. We are glad that we are finally becoming closer and we applaud the acts if the new President and we are happy to have him and his delegation in our nation.

Raise religious liberties with Lodamese President, refugees urge Cozella

Gusta Van Ophoven, the chairwoman of the Lodamun Refugee Council in Baltusia, has written Prime Minister Amillia Cozella a public letter urging her to "raise the issue of religious liberties in Lodamun in her talks with members of the Lodamese government". "Hundreds of thousands of Lodamese Hosians are still here in Baltusia, scared of crossing back over the border because they're not sure what awaits them", she wrote. "Anti-Hosian sentiment is still strong, as was evidenced by the recent proposal of the Religious Law Review Bill, which would effectively signed the death warrant of every Hosian who wanted to practice their faith in Lodamun. Fortunately, at the moment another Bill, the Religious Toleration Act, is also being debated in the Presidium, and I would really urge the Prime Minister to impress upon Lodamun's leaders just how important it is to make sure that gets passed."

President Visits Border Region

President Jones meets with a Baltusian Soldier in the Border Region

The President made an unscheduled stop on his tour of Baltusia today, he took the time to visit the Border Region between Baltusia and Lodamun.

He was accompanied by Prime Minister Amillia Cozella, his Minister of Transport and Industry, Ferdi Hamza; and his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Godfrey Grant. He took the time to meet with several soldiers stationed in the Border Region before making a brief statement on the importance of border security and cooperation between Lodamun and Baltusia.

Cooperation on Border Security is crucial to the success of joint economic projects between Lodamun and Baltusia. A pipeline here would be a prime target for terrorist activity, as we have seen all too commonly just over the Border in the Kregon Mountains. Cooperation in this matter is key to our success in other matters.

Discussion on a possible treaty is expected to begin tomorrow. It is likely that treaty discussion will dominate the last half of the delegation's trip, and will take place in several cities in Baltusia.

The President commented that he would like to draft, debate, and ratify the treaty back in Lodamun before the end of his term.
