Respected House, after the Artanian Parliamentary Elections of December, 4780, I nominee myself to the position of Speaker of the Artanian Parliament. The three MAPs of the Direct Democrats voted for me.

Respected house, the three Ceidwadwyr Aloria MAPs vote for Mrs. Kosár Zsófia.

As a point of order, Mrs. Kosár Zsófia will be standing for the office of President of the Artanian Parliament, not Speaker. The 33 MAPs from the Artanian Federal Democrats (Dorvish group) will support the election of Mrs. Zsófia.

In the spirit of compromise and goodwill, the two MAPs from the Draddwyr National Party will support the election of Kosár Zsófia for the position of President.

While we await the results of the vote for the Presidency of the Artanian Parliament, perhaps we should establish some rules of order to better carry out our functions. As the second piece of legislation for the Artanian Parliament I propose the following:

(1) Members of the Artanian Parliament who fail to show within 72 hours (OOC: We'll use real life time for sake of ease) will have their future votes to be considered abstentions;

(2) Abstentions by Members of the Artanian Parliament who fail to show within the allotted time will not be counted against legislation or for it, they will simply be not counted;

(3) This act of the Artanian Parliament will ensure that functions of the Artanian Parliament and the larger Artanian League will not be hampered by protest or factors outside of the control of the Artanian Parliament.

Respected House, the six MAPs of the Factionis Socialisticae Opificem will support the election of Kosár Zsófia for the position of President.

Respected house, the four MAPs of the Ndrálon People's Party will support the election of Kosár Zsófia.

Respected house, we agree with the proposal by the MAP for the Social Nationalist Party. We think that this is fair, as it means that active parties won't be hampered from their work by parties that are not active and do not attend the Parliament much.
