Kundrati President Klastanavenic to visit Lourenne in historic state visit and announces historic military exercise with DundorfIn other news:Kundrati stands with Luthori and Beiteynu on "Haldor problem"Kunuranorg announces potential price hikes as Kasaema plans on taking over power plants operationBBB Program: Helpful for the Kundrati economy heading into the 55th centuryAn unofficial alliance between Eroncourt and Kasaema has been brewing ever since the "triumverate" of international relations (Dorvik,
Beiteynu, Lourenne) broke down when
Beiteynu, instead of choosing to side with Dorvik over the Beikun Fleet question, sided with their ally Kundrati. Lourenne had also invested into Kundrati earlier with electric car production with the result being that it is now common to see the electric car market filled to the brim with the fleur-de-elis of the Lourennais.
However, the two hadn't had state visits happen much beside a royal tour which visited Kundrati long ago from the royal family of Lourenne. Therefore it was announced that the Kundrati President William Klastanavenic alongside long-time Foreign Minister Marcus Julius Frontinus, set to retire in the next election in 5382, and the long-time Financial Minister Filip Dohnal (also set to retire in 5382) will visit Eroncourt to re-inforce the alliance between Kundrati and Lourenne. It may be possible that a visit with the royal family of Lourenne may happen but this has not been confirmed and is merely rumor.
The talks are expected to be over buying two world-class Leygues-class destroyers made in Lourenne alongside various economic deals from more electric car production and green economy production to rumor of plans for semiconductor fabrication plants to be provided to help advance Kundrati's technology industry - with Dundorf nearby providing silicon such an investment will likely be a success.
Kundrati and Dundorf to conduct historic exercise as sign of firm friendshipIn an announcement, Defense Minister (and President) William Klastanavenic alongside his counterpart in Dundorf Gen. Lukas Söder-Kerekes stated that there would be a major military exercise with Kundrati and Dundorf units involving Kundrati's naval forces and Kundrati & Dundorf's army and air force units alongside potentially an appearence by both sides' special forces.
The training exercise, unofficially named "Kundorf-80", will take place later in the year and will go on for about a couple of months though the length is undetermined. The exercise will be a scenario regaring an invasion of Kundrati from the Artanian Sea which will involve the newly-integrated Beikun Fleet (to be merged into the Southern Fleet and to be renamed the Grand Fleet) attempting to halt the invasion before units from the Kundrati Army and Kundrati Air Force, alongside nearby Dundorf Armed Forces units attempting to halt the invasion before reaching either Kasaema or the centre of Kundrati. Special forces units may also be involved as stated earlier to conduct sabotage operations, especially Dundorf's Luftwaffe "I Fallschirmjager Battalion" and Kundrati's "Special Battalion "Lionheart"".
Dundorf and Kundrati had also performed military exercises before to the possible ire of the Dorvish who are also friends with Dundorf. That military exercise, which involved unknown units around the border of Dundorf and Kundrati to attempt to pierce through the border, revealed flaws on both sides which by now have likely been patched up. This latest exercise is expected to be much larger in scope.
Finally, President Klastanavenic made a statement on any possible concerns that may arise from Dorvik:
We know that Dundorf and Dorvik are allies. We do not want Dorvik to think that this exercise means anything involving their friendship, after all allies help each other in the matters of the economy and the military. This exercise is intended to help each other discover any flaws which may be experienced should either of us be involved in armed conflict. Better to have something when you don't need it than to need something you don't have - and I'm proud that Dundorf and Kundrati will remain allies as it benefits both of our countries immensely.
