Emboldened conservatives to reintroduce segregation and legalise slavery of 'inferior races'

January 4493 — Dundorf's ruling Konservative Partei has embarked on an ambitious agenda to deal with "inferior races", introducing new laws that will resurrect the slave trade, require segregation of all public spaces and ban interracial mingling.

The new laws, spearheaded by justice minister Emilia Dünnwald and interior minister Helena Schreiber, came after Dundorfers voted overwhelmingly to re-elect the Konservative Partei at the last election. With the conservatives now holding more than 80 per cent of the seats in the Bundestag, the proposed laws are expected to be passed easily.

In a joint statement tabled in the Bundestag, Dünnwald and Schreiber said that the ban on public and private interracial consorting was long overdue.

"Proud members of the Dundorfian race should be able to go about their daily lives and work without being accosted by or being forced to fraternise with people from inferior groups. Deviants and criminals who desire such interracial interactions should feel the full force of the law," they said.

Introducing the slavery measures, Dünnwald hailed the restoration of the slave trade as a win for ethnic Dundorfers and a blow against "political correctness gone mad".

"No longer can we ignore the inherent biological and cultural inferiority of many foreign races. We have every right to subjugate these less developed races, a measure that will work for the benefit of Dundorf as an economy and as a nation," she said.

"We are therefore proud today to introduce this much-needed reform, which will remove the ban on slavery and allow ordinary Dundorfers to take ownership of lesser beings – and take control of their destiny."

Bundeskanzlerin Klasen hits back at 'imperialist meddling' by Dorvik

April 4493 — Bundeskanzlerin Juliana Klasen has hit back at criticism of the Dundorfian government by her Dorvish counterpart Regismund von Rohr-Mauss, branding him a "two-bit imperialist crybaby" who should keep his nose out of other countries' domestic politics.

Rohr-Mauss denigrated the Dundorfian government's policy agenda after the government introduced measures to ban interracial consorting and legalise slavery of inferior races. The conservative government won the support of more than 80 per cent of the Dundorfian electorate at the last elections, and Klasen said that Rohr-Mauss's extraordinary intervention was an attack on the popular will.

"We take our lead from the people of Dundorf. We don't take orders from two-bit imperialist crybabies, who play dress-ups and hark back to a 'Reich' that no longer exists," Klasen said.

"We will not give in to imperialist meddling by a nobody who has a surname like a common pest. Come to think of it, that's exactly what he is: a common pest.

"We were elected by the people of Dundorf to put Dundorfians first. That is what we did in our first term and that is what we are continuing to do with our strong domestic policy agenda, of which segregation and slavery are integral parts."

Klasen observed that Rohr-Mauss's claims that Dundorf's economy would suffer from conservative policies had no basis in reality, and was contrary to the evidence.

"Dundorf's economy is booming thanks to our measures to liberalise the economy and open up industries. If Rohr-Mauss wants to poke his nose into our domestic affairs and try to mansplain economic management to me, perhaps he should get his facts right," she said.

"We have abolished the punitive 55 per cent tax rate, removed rules and regulations that were suffocating business, and opened up many industries to more private investment. As a result, our economy is growing again after years of stagnation under the left."

Dundorf announces diplomatic retaliation against Dorvik

Dundorfian foreign minister Benedikt Neukirch has announced that Dundorf will withdraw from a long-standing diplomatic treaty with Dorvik, citing manifest violations of the treaty by the Dorvish government.

The treaty, formally known as the "Treaty between the United Republic of Dundorf and the Federal Republic of Dorvik on friendly co-operation and good neighborliness", has stood for nearly 300 years. But Neukirch noted that the federal chancellor of Dorvik, Volker Regismund von Rohr-Mauss, had repeatedly violated diplomatic protocol by criticising Dundorf's domestic policies.

"Article 1 of the treaty requires the parties to cultivate mutual relations in the spirit of good neighbourliness and friendly co-operation. Article 2 requires the parties to pursue peaceful and friendly relations and co-operation," Neukirch said.

"Without any provocation, the imperialist charlatan who claims to lead Dorvik has sought to force his country's 'values' upon Dundorf. Dorvik is behaving like a colonial power, lording it over a vassal state. Dorvik has clearly violated the terms of the treaty. We consider that the violations demonstrate an intention by Dorvik to repudiate the terms of the treaty.

"We accept that repudiation and we hereby announce that we will take steps to terminate our involvement."

Dundorf Triumph In Inaugural DFK Championship
Host nation emerge successful over Artanian rivals Dorvik in fiercely competitive final of pan-Dundorfian competition

Saturday 5th July, 4504
Image

The Dundorfian mens national football team have beaten their Dorvish counterparts 3-2 in a tense and dramatic final to the first edition of the DRK Championship, a pan-Dundorfian football tournament. Hosted by the Dundorfian Football Confederation (Dundorfian: Dundorfische Fußball-Konföderation; DFK) and held in stadiums across Dundorf, the inaugural tournament involved six national teams from Artania and Dovani.

The Championship began with the six teams being split into two groups of three. Each team played the others in their group twice before the winner of each group progressed to the final, played in the Dundorfian national stadium in Dunburg. In the initial group stage the matches were surprisingly competitive, with every team winning at least one game during this phase. Highlights included an impressive 4-0 victory for Dundorf over Narikaton and Darnussia and late drama in the first match between Dorvik and Hulstria when the referee awarded a 97th minute penalty to the former team.

In the run-up to the final, bookmakers struggled to predict which side would emerge victorious. The Dorvish team, under long-term manager Leopold Kühn, are renowned for their disciplined defensive shape and had conceded only three goals prior to the final while the Dundorfian team under Egelian coach Miguel Ángel Moruga have been celebrated for their pace and flair-filled performances.

By half-time, the game was finely balanced at 1-1. The Dorvish team came out for the second half slightly earlier than their opponents and it appeared to correspond to an improvement in their performance as they took the lead within five minutes thanks to a well-worked corner routine. Moruga brought on veteran winger Julius Hertzberg at the hour mark, though, and this seemed to shift the momentum in favour of the home side.

The game was even again in the 68th minute when Hertzberg delivered a perfectly-weighted cross to allow centre-forward Wilhelm Weidner to volley past the Dorvish keeper from the penalty spot. Both teams pushed on in an attempt to secure the Championship, neither seeming to feel the pressure of the occasion on the pitch. As the game appeared to be heading towards extra-time, Hertzberg again made the difference when he beat his man to power home a shot from the edge of the area and secure the win for his country.

Dundorfian Culture Minister Charlotte Freund congratulated the national team on their victory and proclaimed the tournament a massive success while DFK President Tom Bischoffshausen commented that the Championship had "allowed citizens across Terra to unite in celebration of sport and competition". The next DFK Championship is scheduled to be held in either Aloria or Ostland in 4510, with the same six nations expected to compete.

Partei des Demokratischen Sozialismus secures stable victory in snap elections, but faces uncertain future
Dunburg, 15 January 4514

Image
Präsident der Partei Dieter Krauß, great-great-great grandson of the PDS's founder Helmuth Krauß, has reformed the party under principled leadership and secured a firm victory in the recent snap elections. However, factions within the party are allegedly at fierce odds with each other.

Having reformed the party under stable leadership a year ago, Dieter Krauß successfully carried the party of his ancestors to a smashing electoral victory, much like the elections of 4350 two centuries ago, when Helmuth Krauß, Dieter's great-great-great grandfather brought Dundorf out of the darkness of communism and restored the Bundesrepublik, but dissolved the PDS shortly after the 4350 elections. However according to allegations, despite winning an outstanding electoral victory, the PDS is rife with friction between internal factions. The dominant Allianz der Sozialdemokratischen is reported to be frequently at odds with the Neukommunistische Fraktion, a faction formed by ancestors of former VKPD members, along with supporters of Metzism.

Frequently disagreeing with party doctrine, the NKF believes the PDS's reforms aimed at dismantling the monarchy do not go far enough, stating that Dundorfians would only be truly free if a worker and peasant state was established. The ASD's ally faction, the Verenigte Liberale Koalition has generally supported their reforms, but even they disagree on the economic policy of the nation, with the ASD favoring moderate state intervention and the VLK favoring a more lassiez-faire approach.

When asked by Dundorfer Tageszeitung about the claims being made about his party, Dieter Krauß frequently made few attempts to comment.

Far-right, ex-monarchists stage massive anti-government protests in Dunburg and other locations
Dunburg, 21 March 4517

Image
Nationalist protestors, along with ex-monarchists wave the national flag whilst being contained by Bundespolizei forces in Dunburg.
Mere moments later, clashes would ensue between the protesters and police.

Several large anti-government protests were staged across the country today, with the largest being in the nation's capital, Dunburg. Mainly a broad coalition of fervent nationalists and ex-monarchists, many called for the immediate disbanding of both the ruling PDS and the newly formed NSP, which doesn't even have seats in the Bundestag at the time of this publication. Initially a peaceful protest against the radical economic reforms proposed by the NSP and expanded upon by the PDS, demonstrations quickly became violent, with Dunburg's mayor, Claus Hoffmann resorting to dispatching several Bundespolizei units across the city. In the aftermath, an estimated 10 protesters and 3 police officers were confirmed dead, with dozens injured.

Despite the surge of instability facing the nation not long after the PDS's landslide victory in the snap elections of 4514, the ruling party has been largely silent on the matter. When asked for comment, Bundespräsident Victor von Mayer largely declined to give an opinion on the matter. Despite the fact that the Bundesstaat Dunlake's parliament building allegedly caught fire at the hands of far-right protesters, a collective response from the federal government has yet to be seen, leaving largely local police and state governments for themselves. Several politicians have criticized this move, urging Bundespräsident Mayer to take a stance against quickly rising instability in the nation, with one PDS politician stating that if the government does not give a clear and explicit stance against extremism, then the nation would likely collapse.

Despite rising instability across the nation, the PDS holds it's first party elections, sees communist rise
Dunburg, 19 May 4518

Image
Franz Ehrler, the firebrand faction leader of the Neukommunistische Fraktion, has won a significant amount of the PDS's vote in the party's election.

Despite a wave of instability facing the nation the PDS held it's first party elections and saw a significant rise in popularity for the party's far-left faction, the Neukommunistische Fraktion, a broad coalition of Metzists and technocratic Armbrüsterists. Completely decimating the Verenigte Liberale Koalition's seat share, the ruling Allianz der Sozialdemokratischen directly integrated the VLK into their faction in an attempt to continue a stable majority.

The AdSd's gambit was a success, but the NKF has gained a large enough share of the vote to the point where they are roughly on par with them, likely increasing the chances for internal friction. The faction leader of the AdSd and subsequently the Party's President, Dieter Krauß called the election results "Disappointing, but we can only hope for a plea of mutual cooperation between the two factions."

Ehrler's response was a stark contrast to Krauß, calling faction cooperation "Impossible" when the other merely wishes to reform capitalism, rather than gradually abolish it. "The reformation of the PDS was destined to be plagued by friction from the start. The only thing I am disappointed about, in contrast to what Herr Krauß has said, is that WE didn't secure a firm majority within the party. If that were the case, the leadership would be quite different than the present moment."

When asked by Neues Dundorf about the ongoing instability in the nation, Ehrler harshly criticized the lack of action by the government itself. "We should be committing as much as possible to crushing this disgusting wave of radical nationalism and, in some cases that I have observed, fascism. If we are to sit here and do nothing, then our nation will be in shambles."

Breaking: Nationalist extremists declare open "war" against government, violence erupts in several cities
Dunburg, 24 November 4518

Image
Overpowering local Bundespolizei forces in Rittersheim with improvised shields and sticks,
the scene captured here is just one of many of the currently erupting violence in the nation.

Seemingly rising overnight, a wave of vicious violence committed by extremist nationalists has saw the implementations of a state of emergency in the states of Julstoch, Kronstein, and Dunlake, with local police forces being helpless to contain its spread, with the only ultimatum being a response from either the military or the national government. Many images of the violence being committed have spread rapidly across social media, with images of burning cars and broken windows being all too common.

At the time of this publication, an emergency session of the Bundestag has been called at the request of Bundespräsident Victor von Mayer, and is scheduled to last long throughout the night. An emergency resolution introduced by the Ministry of Justice, along with the Ministry of Defense has increased the presence of highly trained police units, along with a small presence of military forces in the most extreme areas affected.

However, according to reports, despite the efforts of the emergency resolution, the violence has continued to spread—The capital city of Dunburg has already implemented curfews, with local Bundespolizei units actively patrolling public property. Whatever is to come of the emergency session of the Bundestag, the Dundorfer Tageszeitung will be sure to keep the public updated of any changes in the current situation.

Breaking: Emergency session of the Bundestag ends with establishment of military junta
Dunburg, December 3rd, 4518

Image
Now ex-Bundespräsident Victor von Mayer (left) walks out of the Bundestag with Acting Bundespräsident General Marko Drache (right).
Drache has already proposed a cabinet bill before the legislature and promises a "swift and effective" end to the nation's instability.

After having been extended well after the night of the violence, the Bundestag ended it's emergency session with Bundespräsident Victor von Meyer stepping down and granting full Presidential powers to General Marko Drache, and the formation of a military junta to eliminate violence within the nation. "I respect the humbleness of von Meyer," states General Drache. "Rest assured, we will crack down on this senseless violence and it shall be done so swiftly and effectively."

The incredibly risky gambit on behalf of the PDS's communist faction chairman, Franz Ehrler has ultimately been set in motion—But is merely in it's infancy. Drache's cabinet bill, comprised of mostly senior and some junior officers of the Dundorfian Bundesarmee, has yet to pass before the legislature, and the Bundesrepublik is effectively frozen as the "Nationaler Stabilitätsrat", or National Stability Council begins to exercise its power. Acting Bundespräsident Drache has explicitly expressed that the PDS shall retain its seats in the legislature, but shall now be in compliance with the NSC and Drache's cabinet in order to coordinate necessary reforms towards the nation's troubles.

Several conservative groups have expressed public outcry against the move, calling it undemocratic and outright dictatorial. Other conservatives and communists of the PDS's New Communist Faction have supported the move, stating that it was the only solution to combat a near complete destruction of the nation. "While we have waived away our democracy, we have done this only temporarily and I wholly put my faith in General Drache's government in bringing about an end to this awful wave of hate and violence that has been facing the nation."

One of the chief bills that is rumored to be drafted by the junta is the complete and outright banning of ideologies that are behind the violence—Them being Nationalism, Fascism, and Monarchism.

Nationaler Stabilitätsrat declares a state of martial law
Dunburg, 12 November 4520

Image
"We have entrenched our position and now is the time to move. Extremists still roam the streets and they must be stopped."
General Drache speaks before members of the NSC.

A session of the Nationaler Stabilitätsrat has concluded with the issuance of a state of martial law across all areas of the nation. This comes after somewhat of a grace period from the junta's establishment two years ago, a time period when the junta was entrenching its position within the government and ensuring compliance amongst members of the Bundestag. Speaking to both members of the NSC and a few allowed members of the press, General Drache stated that now the NSC is firmly rooted in the Dundorfian political system, it is free to pursue its goals of containing extremism. Dundorfer Tageszeitung was able to witness Drache's speech and have included a transcript of it below.

"Members of the NSC, Members of the Bundestag, Herr Höss,

I have just concluded an arduous session of the aforementioned NSC and we have agreed unanimously upon the implementation of a nationwide state of martial law. Soon to be proposed to the Bundestag for final approval, the initial effects will be rolled out via an executive order from my office. Now, to members of the general public, this shouldn't be cause for any alarm or panic. Curfews will be implemented and police will patrol all property at all times, alongside far greater powers being given to the Bundespolizei temporarily during this time period. Adhere to the newly implemented rules and you shall not be convicted.

However, if you are an extremist, whether you belong to nationalists, monarchists, or fascists, I have only one thing to say to you: We are coming. Some way, some how, for the sake of our nation and it's security, we are coming. Our men shall track you down and apprehend you accordingly with no shred of mercy. Those who wish to degrade our institutions, you have been warned."

The stern words of General Marko Drache showed no remorse or pity for the recent extremists who have been inciting violence across the nation. Mere hours after the direct implementation of a fraction of the martial law's rulings, several Bundespolizei units had already began making mass arrests of suspected extremist cells across the nation. Such numbers are expected to rise with the full commencement of the laws outlined in the martial law proclamation.

When asked about a possible end to the military junta, Drache stated "We shall render our services done when bricks cease to be thrown at windows, firebombs cease to ignite cars, and innocent people cease being killed by senseless extremism.
