Cahtice: Deltarian private aerospace company SATURN has revealed a new schematic for a multirole fighter jet. The schematic, titled "project-F", shows a new fighter jet based on earlier designs such as the R-27 and the MiG-29 already in Deltarian service. According to SATURN it has been working on the design for over 6 years, pausing the work during the crisis and now resuming once more. While the design for such a new aircraft was not requested by the MoW SATURN started work on the project after reports had leaked from the Imperial Airforce that the MF-1 multirole fighter, suppossed to be the main multirole fighter for Deltaria, didnt perform as expected. These reports stated that the fighter was to light and had no way of defending itself mid air. Furthermore while it possessed several advanced capabilities it could only carry a limited payload and was reserved for small strike missions only, taking away the entire premise of a multirole fighter. SATURN states that it beleived Project-F will provide the Imperial Airforce with a capable mutirole jet fighter that can defend itself in the air when needed and perform a wide variety of missions. According to early details on the design the fighter resulting from Project-F would incorporate many features of the R-27 and MiG-29 but add features of the R-37 stealthfighter to it as well, giving it several fifth generation capabilities. SATURN also states that it is its intention of making the aircraft supermaneuverable allowing it to perform tactical maneuvers that other aircraft are incapable of performing.

The Project-F fighter will also, according to SATURN, be modified in such a way that modern and advanced avionics from both northern and southern origin can be installed on it, allowing for the possibility of different variants of the aircraft with its basic and main variant likely including the current modern avionics systems available. The details also include electronic warfare systems on board as well as, as stated before, several fifth gen features mainly in its targetting and HUD systems, allowing the aircraft to perform a wide variety of tasks but also to be a excellent air superiority fighter if needed.

While the Imperial Airforce and Ministry of War have not yet stated whether or not they consider working with SATURN on Project-F several sources within both have confirmed that there is clear interest in the project, with the rumour circulating that it could mean the MF-1 being solemnly used for training purposes and retiring half its fleet, in favour of making the end product from Project-F the main multirole fighter of the airforce. It is unclear when the design is finalized and when the Deltarian military will make a decision.

Modalin: Deltarian Foreign Minister Jeroným Holub has, in one of his press meetings, stated that Deltaria has made a official offer to the Malivian hostagetakers in order to try and solve the situation at hand. In Malivia cow terrorists have hijacked a plane with people from several different countries now taken hostage. The situation is so dire that Malivian authorities have yet to adequatly respond, fearing the deaths of more of the hostages. Deltaria has mostly been silent during the matter, believing it is up to Malivia to fix the situation. This attitude has changed this week however as the hijacking continues without a clear end in sight, partially casting doubts over both Malivia's and Deltaria's ability to handle such situations. With new First Minister Koleno at the helm the Deltarian government is looking for ways to end the stalemate. Talking to the press Foreign Minister Holub stated that he and his ministry have made a, "welcoming offer" to the terrorists.

The offer made by the foreign ministry includes a Deltarian fighter escort for the airplane when it eventually leaves Malivia as well as a 40 million payment in exchange for the hostagetakers liberating the hostages. Another sidecondition is that the plane flies to the Czar Dusan military base and lands on its landing strip. This to deliver the payment and have the hostages released after which the plane will leave for a desired location by the terrorists and escorted by a Deltarian fighter squadron. As the Foreign Ministry knows releasing all the hostages at the base would not be happening they have demanded 90% of hostages be released at the base with the remaining 10% released at the final destination if the offer is accepted. By giving this offer the Deltarian Foreign Ministry hopes to end the situation without any more deaths of hostages and making sure that the situation, which has been going on for months, can finally be resolved. A response from the terrorists has yet to be received.

Czar Dusan Military Base: The hostagetakers agreed to the Deltarian proposal. Malivian authorities refueled their plane and there it went, on its way to the Deltarian Czar Dusan military base near the Malivian coast. The flight went without problems, with hijackers and hostages still on board. Then it arrived. No one knows what happened in the plane during and shortly after the short flight but it is assumed that the situation was tense. The plane positioned itself close to a terminal, allowing Deltarian military authorities to move a bridge to the entrance of the plane while Czar Dusan base command was in contact with the terrorists, telling them exactly what was happening to ensure no mistakes. The bridge/stair was attached to the entrance and a unarmed Deltarian soldier walked up the stairs with a suitcase, placing it in front of the door. It contained over 40 million in cash, as promised to the terrorists in the deal. As the soldier slowly backed down the terrorists opened the door with a hostage held in front of them, to fend of snipers. They took the briefcase and threw the hostage out, she fell down the stairs until ground personell picked her up. Now it was time for the terrorists to hold their end of the bargain, release 90% of the remaining hostages which amounted to 38 people. For a few minutes the situation was tense but then a door opened. One by one the hostages got out of the plane, some injured and some fine. The terrorists were clearly ready to end the situation, exhausted from months of negotiations and struggle with authorities.

When the last of the 38 hostages got out of the plane and into Deltarian hands the terrorists asked the Czar Dusan base command, "now we want our escort, or these last 4 will come out in pieces." While command pretended to keep its end of the bargain behind a closed door of the terminal several armoured vehicles of the ZNZS were patiently waiting, being given a order that contradicts the deal made with the terrorists. While the plane was getting ready to position itself for the flight the order was given. As the terrorists were starting to relax slightly as the planes engines launched the Three ZNZS teams used the cover of the engine sounds to drive onto the scene, quickly getting out of their vehicles and on the earlier placed stairs where the hostages got out of the plane from. They positioned themselves on the back door of the plane as well as the front door with the third team positioning itself on the other side of the runway as a sniper team, giving cover to the two teams entering. Within seconds a loud bang could be heard, shattering both airplane doors and causing the ZNZS teams to move into the plane quickly. Gunfire could be heard, several sniper shots rang through the air and submachine guns fired away. Just 30 seconds later the firing stopped and the shouting began. After a minute long showdown one last shot could be heard, likely from the sniper outside. It appears the ZNZS breached the plane, killed three of the terrorists almost instantly before receiving fire from the fourth terrorists, with the bullets that were flying around hitting one of the four remaining hostages in the head, instantly killing him. Then the terrorist took another hostage and threatened to shoot her if they put one foot in his direction. But before he could the ZNZS sniper team put a bullet in his head, killing him instantly.

All terrorists lay dead, the 40 million, which proved to be fake, was retrieved and all except one hostage survived the operation. Upon the conclusion of the operation First Minister Koleno himself held a press conference in which he stated that, "Today i had given the order to forces stationed at the Czar Dusan military base to executive a operation to either kill or capture the Malivian hijackers and try to rescue all passengers. Unfortunately one of the passengers did not survive the operation and we give our condolences to the family of this man. However, let it be clear to any terrorist in the future, Deltaria will not tolerate the threatening of civilians. It will not tolerate the cowardice known as terrorism. And the death of these four terrorists show that Deltaria is ready to do what needs to be done if the situation requires it to. Thank you."

News outlets from countries where some of the hostages came from have reacted with praise to the Deltarian government, saying Deltaria "did what needed to be done." Others have criticized the Deltarian government, saying all hostages could have been saved if the deal was met, without losing one as is the case now. The Malivian government has not yet responded to the operation, it is unclear if they were informed beforehand.

Eroncourt: Amidst growing uncertainty, a crashing economic and political upheaval Deltarian monarch, Czarina Maria I, made one of her rare state visits to Lourenne. Lourenne has been having a variety of problems and escalating tensions over the last year, mainly fueled by economic uncertainty. According to Czarina Maria, who rarely leaves the country since the economic crisis in Deltaria, she wants to "support our friends in Lourenne and tell its people that Deltaria stands in solidarity with them during these potentially hard times." The Czarina departed last week and arrived the same day, being met by the King, Herbert II and his wife the queen. The heads of state then proceeded to the Royal Palace in Eroncourt and had a variety of discussions, chief among them being the rising problems within Lourenne and the impact it has on the wider region. Czarina Marina stated that she was, "moved", by the stories of ordinary Lourenais people who sometimes struggle to bring food to the table. She discussed ways she could help with her own foundation, the Imperial Wealth Fund, a fund dedicated to eradicating hunger in the world. Furthermore she reportedly pledged to Herbert that the Deltarian Houses and the Imperial Palace of Deltaria would be willing to help him and his family if the situation would go out of hand. Herbert assured our Czarina that this was not needed and that he would, "Stay in Lourenne for the sake of my country."

While inside the two heads of states talked state matters outside protests and riots were ongoing. The Imperial Directorate of Intelligence reportedly merged into the crowd to make sure the Czarina was not threatened and took extensive preparations and changes to make her personal security detail like, "a steel box surrounding her." These riots and extraordinary matters show the critical situation in Lourenne. Maria was reportedly worried during the entire trip, not for herself, but for the royal family of Lourenne. A attache of the Czarina with her during the trip reported her saying to her assistent, "This is how monarchies end. If the Lourennaise family falls. It could mean a domino effect. Hutori could be next. Maybe us. Its truly concerning."

Czarina Maria, after two days at the court of the Lourennaise king discussing matters and holding a feast, left back for Deltaria yesterday and reportedly arrived safely. It is clear the Empress is worried. Many await anxiously on the end of the Lourennais situation.

Cahtice: The Ministry of War, per direct request from the First Minister's office, has formed a new seperate branch of the Armed Forces named the "Cyber Protection and Security Unit" (Oddělení Kybernetické Ochrany a Bezpečnosti) likely to be named by its adjective the OKOB. This new seperate branch of the Armed Forces will be fully dedicated to cyber security and other cyber activities deemed in "the interest of the state." The creation of OKOB was a short and quick process, mostly set in motion by new First Minister Koleno and his staff. Koleno has stated on multiple occassions that Deltaria needs better protection against "digital threats" and needs to not only protect its software guided weapon systems but also vital infrastructure such as the 4G and cable internet networks, government agency websites and road, rail and air infrastructure. However, when the First Minister requested the MoW to form the new department it was clear this unit would not reserve itself for defensive purposes only. OKOB will closely work together with the Imperial Directorate of Intelligence, the agency which was responsible for cyber warfare until now, sharing that responsibility with CUVO. Now OKOB will take over both defensive and offensive cyber activities of the state. It is reported that former cyber employees and elements from IDI and CUVO have already joined together in the new OKOB workplace, of which the location is clasified.

The creation of OKOB marks a new chapter in Deltarian defense and policy. First Minister Koleno and his new government seem to be aware of the multitude of new threats facing a country in this modern era and are slowly but steadily adapting defense policy and state management based on these factors. Koleno, being a former intelligence officer himself, knew from his time in the field that cyber warfare is playing a increasingly large role within the world. Both on the domestic and civilian domain and the defense terrain. OKOB will initially receive 3 billion a year to start off operations with a plan on the table to increase that to 10 billion a year as time progresses. It is unclear from where and how OKOB is operating but it is believed that the new branch is already active although on a limited scale.

Cahtice: Vladislav Koleno, leader of Deltaria for two years now, has proposed a new major reform to the Imperial Senate named the 'Federal Authority and Distribution Act'. This new reform, marketed by the government as a "series of groundbreaking general and justice reforms to streamline the judicial process and ensure a fair policy on several key issues", is according to its critics the second clear sign that Koleno is only looking to increase his own power over the backs of the Deltarian people. While several proposals in the proposed reform are classified as ordinary, such as restricting advertisement of harmfull substances and letting local governments determine food safety provisions, others are deemed "dictatorial" by some parts of the population. These proposals that are deemed authoritarian include proposals such as having local governments appoint judges and magistrates, which would possibly allow the KDU party which controls most local governments to appoint KDU loyal judges, but also proposals like restricting multiple citizenship and allowing the police to disperse groups if they are "a threat to public safety" a vague term that many see can be used to disperse almost any group if they want to. One of the most controversial parts of the reform however is taking away the full and free right to appeal to a higher court. In the new law a individual, bussiness or organization can still appeal a decision and ask for a review to a higher court but this must be done through the Minister of Justice which is also allowed to decline the request. This, according to law professionals and activists, pathes the way for the Koleno government to decline requests unfavourable to them and approve those against their opponents. The FADA reform also censors international media content to, as the government claims, "prevent dictatorial regimes from broadcasting in Deltaria" and also puts additional restrictions on domestic media content, restricting the publication of false information, hate speech, and subversive anti-government material that is deemed harmfull to the safety of the Deltarian populace.

When details on the FADA reforms came to light over 200.000 people took to the streets in Branovice, generally seen as one of the most progressive cities in Deltaria, to express their anger at the bill which is seen as a first step towards authoritarianism. All over the country a total of 500.000 people took to the streets to protest the reforms. But, despite these massive numbers, it seems Koleno and his government had prepared for the backlash with around 1 million officers now actively working to "guide" the protests, possibly being used for dispersing actions later on. While many classify the bill as dictatorial Koleno himself and a lot of his supporters online have stated that the bill is everything but dictatorial. He says that, "The FADA reforms will give local governments a bigger say in affairs, something that was absolutely necessary as we saw the disfunctioning of the national government during the economic crisis. Furthermore the other regulations in the reform are logical, something every nation would do. We must stand against foreign dictatorial regimes trying to influence our judiciary and state and i believe the reforms in FADA ensure that our nation stays resilient and strong against those threats."

Law professionals have stated that the reform was calculated to perfection and designed in such a way that it cant fully be classified as authoritarian, "The government designed the FADA reforms in such a way that it doesnt technically take away any rights for its citizens. Media can still publish like they used to, the judiciary still works as before and the right of appeal is still there. The only thing they did was consolidate all the real authority within the executive. Appeals have to go through the government before being accepted, the government can shut down basically any media publication if its deemed violating any new media regulation law and the government can indirectly, through its local representatives, appoint judges loyal to their cause. The state will basically be able to control all these layers and still claim that they work as intended and are far from authoritarian, its smart." said one of the professionals. Reports from the Imperial Palace seem to suggest Czarina Maria has summoned Koleno to discuss the reforms, likely meaning that Maria, a firm democrat herself, is not fond of the situation at hand. Koleno and his ministers have stated they intend on pushing forward with the reforms as he also doesnt face oppossition from party leadership, which was arrested a few months ago. Some are fearing a crackdown on protestors if the stalemate continues.

Cahtice: The Ushalande Engineering Group, better known by its acronym UEG, has revealed a plan to expand and modernize its shipyards. The new plan details a increased capacity of 40%, meaning that 40% more ships could be constructed and stored at the end of the project. UEG is not responsible for construction in the shipyards themselves, contracting that work to several smaller private corporations, instead the state owned company owns all shipyards and manages them, making sure the private contractors keep to their schedules and that the shipyards remain in a good and operational state. UEG controls over 90% of the shipyards in Deltaria with the remaining 10% in the hands of the private Kakali Maritime Construction who owns several smaller and medium sized shipyards in Dissuwa. With the new influx in cash and the governments expressed desire to start up naval construction once more the UEG has decided it is time to expand its current capacity and modernize already existing shipyards. This modernization would include a total check and repair project for the actual docks and equipment as well as replacing older equipment with new. The shipyards will be expanded based on previous experiences, for example the Stefanisti shipyard has historically been amongst the bussiest, causing the UEG to expand its capacity by 58%. Smaller shipyards like the Alazindian shipyard in Ludemnik will only receive a 8% increase in size. According to early estimates from both the government and the UEG the entire project will cost 5 billion, spread out over 3 years.

Once completed the newly modernized and expanded shipyards should be able to construct ships slightly faster and construct 40% more simultaniously then before. Not only for military ship construction but also civilian construction, with the state planning to expand its trade cargo fleet by several dozen ships over the coming years. If the project is a success the UEG and KMC owned shipyards combined will have amongst the, if not the largest shipbuilding capacity in the world. This would be good for the Koleno government which has reaffirmed its dedication to the "Three Branch Supremacy" doctrine (now named the Four Branch Supremacy Doctrine) which states that Deltaria should strive for a armed force large, strong and advanced enough to defeat one of its main rivals in a offensive war and two of them in a defensive one if necessary, prompting the government to constantly look for ways to improve and expand the Armed Forces when possible. Koleno has already stated he intends to look with the MoW into a continuation of major shipbuilding programs, all halted during the economic crisis. The only major shipbuilding project currently ongoing is the refit and modernization of the DNS Mrazek supercarrier, scheduled to complete at the end of the year. The UEG plan is expected to formally launch by july with construction planned to last for 3 full years.
