Members of the FNC who for months have been attempting to reform Kanjorien laws through several proposals in the
National Assembly have finally set a date to focus on the restructuring of Kanjor's tax brackets. According to the
previous brackets set up by previous governments, heavy taxes were placed on the nation's middle class and on the
most wealthy. Several people within the nation have hailed this as a "progressive" tax, however, members of the FNC
have realized that many of the taxes, set up by extreme socialists in the past, are setting up a barrier against economic
growth in the nation. Martin Berzeau, who works for the Bureau of Economic Development at the Ministry of Finances
said that the taxes in the nation must "be reformed if the party is to instill change and development." Members
of the FNC are expected to begin cutting taxes on most Kanjorien citizens to begin setting goals on improving the
overall economy of the nation. Private corporations are beginning to see hope in the Kanjorien economy and are
expected to begin reinvesting in the nation.

Since the restoration of the Kanjorien monarchy, several residents have claimed that the monarchy is a prime example
of Canrilliase culture, history, and pride. However, some have pointed out that minorities in Kanjor cannot see pride
in certain Canrillaise symbolism because of the lack of cultural diversity in the country. According to a survey done by
the National Bureau of Cultural Enhancement, Mordusian and Tropican minorities specifically, have felt neglected for
the past few decades. Members of the National Assembly have taken notice of this survey ad have decided to act.
According to deputy members of the National Assembly, members of the FNC are preparing a multi-step plan to
reinvigorate Kanjor's demographics and begin diversifying several aspects of Kanjorien society. The National Assembly
is set to allocate funds from the national spending budget to improve minority communities in the nation, specifically
Tropican communities in La Tondelle and Silliers. Local businesses, media, the arts, and education are to be improved
in La Tondelle to ensure that Tropican minorities have equal opportunities to succeed and have equal access to the
nation's services. Undoubtedly, the most important part of this plan is to provide economic opportunities for the
Tropican minorities, who have for so long, lived in poverty. The National Assembly is planning to transform Silliers and
La Tondelle into a massive tourist hot spot that would bring jobs and economic development to Tropican communities
but also highlight and embrace the Tropican culture on the island. Members of the assembly are soon to create official
government bills on these plans and proposals to immediately begin enhancing Kanjorien culture and Identity.

This afternoon, hundreds of Kanjorien residents near the Chateau du Fin du Nord traveled to the Royal Grounds to see
the first ever public appearance of Crown Prince Philippe VII and Princesse du Sange Lorraine, who were both born as
twins 4 months ago according to the Bureau of the Royal House. The family, which had been living in Rildnaor for years
moved to Kanjor not long ago to assume the throne of the Canrillaise world decades after the eventful Lourennais
revolution. King Louis VI, who stated that the past was behind him and his family, noted that the future of the family
looks bright. Louis VI, along with his siblings Princess Aurora and Prince Philippe VI, are beginning to use up the family's
enormous funds to begin helping those in need in Kanjor. King Louis VI stated that the "future of the family will be
focused on giving back to the people who have for so long supported us and respected our honor and nobility. My
children, the future leaders of Canrille will be raised to learn to be appreciative, be humble, and show empathy. It is
time we give back to the people." King Louis did not give insight into future government projects associated with
his future charity works.

This afternoon, members of the National Assembly's press team were able to catch a glimpse of Prime Minister Bouyier
as she was being transported to a royal transportation dispatch team outside of the complex. According to sources, the
King had personally called for his transportation team pick up the Prime Minister at the National Assembly. The Prime
Minister was transported to Fin du Nord, the location of the Royal Family's estate, where she spent three hours in
discussion with the King and his personals advisors. After the meeting, Bouiyer's spokesperson revealed that the King
planned to use the royal family's immense fortunes to help in the development of minority neighborhoods and to
improve cultural institutions in the nation. According to details of the meeting, King Louis VI is willing to use over
500 million dollars, a fraction of his total assists, to fund schools, art buildings, museums, historical sights, and health
facilities in minority neighborhoods where poverty and opportunities are low. Louis VI, spoke to Bouiyer so she can drive
up legislative support for these projects. The King stated that his position as King, Emperor, and Monarch of four nations
would not be a position of privilege to him, rather a position of assistance, caring, empathy, and understanding. Due to
Kanjorien law, the national assembly must vote on using the King's private assets to fund programs and services in the
nation. The National Assembly is expected to pass this measure and take it to finance committees where locations
communities, and cities will be chosen to receive the funds.

PRD announces interim government

Atyr, Le Tondelle-Est - In an announcement outside of the government offices today the Royal Democratic Party (PRD) announced an interim administration of the Kingdom of Kanjor. Officials from the PRD proclaimed the re-formation of the Kingdom of Kanjor underneath King of Kanjor, Philippe VI. Aubin Solé, the President of the Royal Democratic Party and staunch Aurilimarist Democrat, stated that Kanjor and the continent suffered underneath a "Third Communist Malaise" that had cast Kanjor into the abyss and worked against the success of the nation. Solé, the husband of Mégane d'Aurilimar, the second daughter of the current Count of Aurilimar, has repeatedly called for the "Return of the Canrillaise Empire", stiring both Aurilimarist Democrats and Canrillaise Nationalist, the two major wings of the Royal Democratic Party. A return of Kanjor in Southern Seleya is likely to boost activity on the continent as the interim Prime Minister named his "Council of Ministers". This will be the first time that the PRD has returned to power since their collapse in January 4694 underneath the charismatic former Governor-General Félix d'Aurilimar. The d'Aurilimar dynasty has kept close reigns on the RPD and has at several times floated the return of the party but with the collapse of the last Communist government, the d'Aurilimar's decided now was the time. The interim administration has already welcomed Philippe VI to the throne of Kanjor and Solé, the new interim Prime Minister, has welcomed a strong Council of Ministers who will likely waste no time getting to work.

Despite the lack of a head of state, the interim Prime Minister immediate issued orders through the Ministry of the Interior and interim Interior Minister Victoire Gounelle to deploy the National Gendarmerie and the General-Directorate of Internal Security to secure key facilities throughout the nation. The Prime Ministers' decree focused on "...restoration of law and order across Kanjor...", the focus was also to restore local government services following the abrupt dismissal and collapse of the outgoing Communist government. According to the interim operational needs of the Interior Ministry, the PRD re-issued the "Administration Reform" orders of the previous PRD government which has largely remained in place. According to officials from the Interior Ministry the government plans on conducting snap general elections within the month, largely to usher in the new year; the PRD is the sole registered political party and is likely to capture nearly all of the seats in the National Assembly. Media outlets throughout Kanjor have a cautious optimism after years of Communist rule that, according to them, constituted as "Third Communist Malaise". The Interior Ministry is not the only agency at work, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and interim Foreign Minister Sébastien Beaubois began re-calling all ambassadors throughout the world and replacing them with interim ambassadors. Prime Minister Solé appointed a Secretary of State for Strategic Policy, naming close ally and noted Aurilimarist and Canrillaise Nationalist, Raoul Auger, as the point man for developing the nations strategic policy.

In the coming weeks the new PRD government will likely begin appointing key officials once elections are complete.

January legislative elections see PRD win outright

Atyr, Le Tondelle-Est - Interim Minister of the Interior Victoire Gounelle announced that the 4853 legislative election was won outright by the Royal Democratic Party (PRD), capturing all 300 seats in the National Assembly. The electoral system is a two-round single member constituency election, the PRD ran candidate mostly opposed to independent or former Communist candidates. Leading the PRD in their election efforts is veteran political operative Pierre-Antoine Garreau, the slogan for the PRD's 4853 election was "Revenir à l'avant" or "Return to the Front!" in Luthorian. According to Garreau the whole election was a return to law and order, normalcy and a return to "Kanjorian values". Aubin Solé, the leader of the PRD and the leading candidate for Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Kanjor spoke regarding the victory that it was a "...glorious victory for the Kanjorian people and Canrillaise people across the world." The election on the 3rd and 4th saw all the new deputies of the National Assembly sworn in on the 5th of January. Following the swearing in of the new deputies, the first act of business was the passing a modification of the "Constitution of the Kingdom of Kanjor" which would modify the titles of the head of state, namely restoring the Governor-General and adding the historical Lord High Protector and Executor of the Monarch. The head of government title was altered to the more formal "Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers" and the National Assembly agreed in principle to formalize the government that Solé has lead since early December.

PM Solé announces new Chief of National Defense Staff, Ville de Saints lease renewed with APC

Atyr, La Tondelle-Silliers - Prime Minister Aubin Solé spoke with Minster of Defense Maryvonne Clérisseau to announce the new Chief of the National Defense Staff, Vice-Amiral d'escadre Amaury Saunier. The selection of a naval admiral as the new Chief of the National Defense Staff signals perhaps an important note that the Kanjorian Armed Forces desire a strong naval presence in the world. Defense Minister Clérisseau noted that the incoming Chief would provide a number of new initiatives that were previously proposed and half implemented underneath a previous PRD administration. The new Chief spoke briefly to the press, he noted that the Kanjorian Armed Forces would be embarking on a "...notable change of course and direction." he had directed all departments and administrations underneath his National Defense Staff to get to work immediately, he announced that the Directorate-General of Military Intelligence would be conducting a service-wide review of all military personnel to weed out any undesirables and lackluster officers.

Minister of Education and Culture Marie-Christine Picard stood alongside representatives from the Directorate of Religious Affairs (Canrillaise: Direction des affaires religieuses) who announced that the Ville de Saints had been re-loaned back to the Aurorian Patriarchal Church for an undefined amount of time. Representatives from the Directorate of Religious Affairs and incoming Theognosian Apostolic Protopatriarch (the Patriarch of Canrille) Sylvestre X made the announcement with the new government formed in January, 4853 by the Royal Democratic Party. Prime Minister Aubin Solé called the move "...a restoration of a traditional Kanjorian staple." Sylvestre X spoke to his followers from the traditional balcony that the Patriarch appears on during specific masses and events, the Patriarch spoke of the need for Kanjorians and the wider Canrillaise world to unite and band together to rebuild "Faith and Freedom". The Patriarch spoke also of Kanjorian's specifically rebuilding their presence in Seleya which the Patriarch was critical of due to lack of "...regional leadership." According to a report of the Directorate of Religious Affairs the ascension of Sylvestre X roughly a year ago was a popular selection by the church, the new Patriarch is not without his critics as many have cited him as using the church as a means to advance his own nationalistic beliefs, something that fellow church leaders in Kanjor have criticized.

Governor-General formally sworn in, 4875 National Defense Strategy soldified

Atyr, La Tondelle-Silliers - In an announcement from the Castle of the North End, the traditional residence of the Kanjorian Royal family, the new Governor-General Pierre-Antoine Thibault was sworn in by High Royal Highness Sylvain d'Orléans-Vasser-DeChambeau, the third son of the current King of Kanjor and pretender to the Canrillaise throne. The incoming Governor-General was instrumental in the re-foundation of the Royal Democratic Party and has served in a variety of posts in the PRD throughout its re-founding. Thibault is a close ally to the d'Aurilimar family which has built up an impressive legacy in Kanjorian politics since their return to Kanjor in February, 4684. The new Governor-General promised a return to prominence for the Kingdom of Kanjor and noted that he would be appointing Frédéric d'Aurilimar, the youngest son of the d'Aurilimar family, as the new Secretary of State for the Canrillaise Empire which is responsible largely for relations between Canrillaise states. The incoming Secretary of State will be responsible for deepening ties with nations such as Rildanor, Alduria and Lourenne; the latter becoming incredibly active within the past several years as the Party of National Restoration seeks to re-order Lourenne as a whole.

The Governor-General announced that the Pesançon Mercantile Exchange and Voubaix Stock Exchange had returned to full operation after efforts by the Ministry of Economics and Finance reduced trading for several years fearing a run on the market. The Ministry of Economics and Finance released a press release following the Governor-General's announcement that outlined new rules and regulations regarding the stock markets in Kanjor; this was done in conjunction with the formation of the Directorate-General of Securities and Exchanges (Canrillaise: Direction générale des valeurs mobilières et des bourses; DGVMB) which will oversee and regulate securities and exchanges.

The Governor-General and the Prime Minister spoke briefly before the Prime Minister joined the Defense Minister in Atyr for an announcement regarding the future of Kanjor's defense and security apparatus. The press conference in Atyr with Prime Minister Solé, Defense Minister Maryvonne Clérisseau and Chief of the National Defense Staff Vice-Amiral d'escadre Amaury Saunier to discuss the announcement of the 4875 National Defense Strategy (Canrillaise: 4875 Stratégie de défense nationale). The 4875 plan will largely focus on restoring Kanjorian regional dominance and reassert its leadership within the Canrillaise world. The plan, developed largely by Vice-Admiral d'escadre Saunier, focuses on the development of a (1) Comprehensive national defense and national security system focused around quick, agile and rapid reaction forces; (2) Extending and protecting Kanjorian interests at home and abroad; (3) Development of mutual defense and security cooperation with Seleyan, Canrillaise and other key nations; (4) Aiding allies and providing for the benefit of Terra with stability and security. Several parts of the 4875 plan are considered to be top secret and were not revealed to the public, speculation around those parts include the return of key foreign intelligence services, the development of a renewed defense industry in the nation and the reformation of the Armed Forces of Kanjor.

Jean-Claude de Deims et Map, the Duke of Deims and Map, was named as the Secretary of State for Strategic Policy within the 4875 plan and is noted military historian and has a post-graduate degree in military science from the Academy of the Isles. de Deims et Map has several papers dedicated to the restoration of the National Navy and the development of rapid reaction, quick response forces and heavy reliance on "elite" forces. It is unknown what the future will hold for Kanjor but the expansive efforts of the 4875 plan will keep Kanjor busy for several decades.

Governor-General welcomes new King of Lourenne and Canrille Emperor

Atyr, La Tondelle-Silliers - Governor-General Pierre-Antoine Thibault spoke at a press conference regarding the recent news that Lourenne will be restoring King of Kanjor and pretender to the throne of Canrille to the throne. "We are very happy that the people in Lourenne have decided to restore the monarchy. We welcome the restoration of the King and look forward to a mutually prosperous relationship with Lourenne and fellow Canrillaise nations." The Governor-General announced that when Lourenne had solidified its political program and restored the monarchy fully that himself and the government of Kanjor would be conducting a state visit. Following the speech he was asked about the news that the Deltarian government has introduced measures in light of an economic downturn. "Obviously Deltaria is one of the worlds largest economies and that's very concerning. I've spoken with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economics and Finance. They are both positive and eager to tackle any challenges that arise in Kanjor and fellow Seleyan states. Our economies are interdependent on each other and whatever assistance we can provide Deltaria and whatever assistance we can continue to provide to Kanjorians we will do." The Governor-General noted that the Kanjorian economy has been on the rise in recent years, notably since the full re-opening of the two stock exchanges that have provided several dozen companies and corporations with boosts in capital. The Ministry of Economics and Finance announced a number of measures aimed at preventing an economic downturn, notably easing inflation rates and enhancing oversight over banks and financial institutions when it comes to lending.

According to the Ministry of Economics and Finance the recent economic boom has largely been driven by a surge in purchasing of consumer goods. Public Warehouse (Canrillaise: Entrepôt public) a major retail chain which is considered a "super store" style retail business has stated that profits have increased nearly 30% over the past several years. CEO of Public Warehouse Sébastien Gaudreau credited the efforts of Valentin Girard, Minister of Economics and Finance as well as Prime Minister Aubin Solé for their efforts in restoring a sensible tax system and rebuilding consumer confidence. Economist have also noted that recent uptick in defense spending and security spending, notably towards rebuilding the Armed Forces of Kanjor. A number of other industries have also propped themselves up in the wake of increased global competition, notably in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Kanjor is home to a subsidiary of 3M, an Endralonian corporation, that has struggled recently and others in Kanjor have sought to break their influence in the Kanjorian pharma market. Alpire SA, a pharmaceutical corporation, has increased its market share alongside Twilight Health Systems SA which has closed in on the pharmaceutical market and has overall increased competition. Representatives from the Kanjorian subsidiary of 3M and the Ministry of Economics and Finance supposedly met to discuss the companies health in the overall economy.

Kanjor has made strides since the re-foundation of the Royal Democratic Party and the rebuilt Constitution of the Kingdom of Kanjor.
