Chicken, seafood, foldable food, deep fried wonders, and spicy sauces were at the forefront of this year's Las Nubes
Food Festival. Held every year in December, the city of Las Nubes opens up its main public square to various food
vendors. Almost all food vendors at the festival are local restaurants and street food posts who regularly show up
around Las Nubes. The festival is only three days long usually a weekend, and highlights the culture of Gaduridos
through cuisine. Several aspects of Gaduridos' Pensio, Bentaran, and Asli cultures are present at the festival. The
festival attracts millions of people to Las Nubes especially people from Kalistan, Tukarali, and Baltusia for good
reasons. Many of the food posts this year were full of spiky cactus dishes, deep fried legume tacos, junk chicken
(OOC: jerk chicken), spicy habanero salsas, lobster on spiced butter, battered cod, Sonoran Rice and Peas, seasoned
corn cups, soggy pork sandwiches, and fresh hibiscus waters. The event not only highlights the diversity of Gaduridos
but it also is an opportunity for local communities and small businesses to grow and expand their clientele. The Las
Nubes Food Festival is always organized and directed by restaurant owners and members of the community each year.
Their planned weekend of festivities are then accepted by the city council of Las Nubes, who even themselves are
present at the festival each year. Las Nubes residents hope that a festival of this magnitude and cultural appreciation
can be done at the nationwide level considering its massive cultural and economic success.
