Noversk, Dolgava

Dolgavas Iron and Steel industries have gone through an unprecedented economical boom in the 6 months. Most of this is high demand from Dorvish, Lourennian, and Hutorian markets. Because of the trade embargoes in Yingdala, a nation considered to be one of the largest Steel manufactures in Terra. Several Dolgavan steel mills saw the opportunity to grow during these sanctions and Steel firms in Dolgava have started to expand and produce more to meet the demands of the NC members. So far Noversk has gone through an economic boom that has not been seen in over several centuries. Dying steel mills have come back to life in a big way and many people have new employments options. What is happening, how is Dolgava copping with the demand and what will this mean in the future?
Dolgavan Steel Industry:
The Dolgavan Steel industry has been substantial for many years. Being a regional industry in the North of Dolgava. Noversk started out as a mining town before going through massive urbanization. The steel industry has for many years been stagnant in the region, only really exporting to Kizenia and a few other countries, nothing substantial. This was mainly because Yingdala had a almost monopoly on the steel industry and was producing steel cheaper than most nations could. Dolgava's steel industry was mainly an domestically used product. However with sanctions Yingdala stopped exporting Steel to Hutori and Dorvik and the other NC members. A large void was created in the Steel industry, one that Dolgava's steel mills saw as an opportunity to fill. Only 6 months after the sanctions, 6 major Iron and Steel corporations in Terra were either adding on or building new plants to meet the incredible rise in demand. Dolgava's Steel Industry sat at around 13 Million Tons per year however the increase in demand has seen Dolgava increase to 25 million tons per year. The planned increase over a period of anywhere from 1-15 years would see Dolgava producing close to 150 million tons CEO of Dolgavan Standard Ores (Dolgavan standarta rūdas), Joseph Roon told was interviewed and he said the following
The demand for steel was so high that a copper plant that we were in the process of building was quickly changed to a new steel mill. This process was sped up and we have the mill operational 3 months ahead of schedule. If you had told me a year before that it would be a Steel mill I would have laughed at you. This rise in demand is unprecedented. With Dolgava's existing coal industry keeping many people in the North warm and its long history of exporting to other nations across Terra we are sitting in a good place. I plan to open another iron mine south of Astoņkājis Point. I am very optimistic of these recent events and I see Dolgava doing well during these sanctions and even after. Yingdala isn't trusted as much as they once were and I see business coming here instead of Yingdala in the future.
Already many iron mines are opening new ones, using high tech to keep environmental impacts to a minimum. Which leads to the next devolopment.
Liore Iron Industry:
Iron is costly on the environment and can lead to many problems. Dolgava does not have the existing infrastructure to extract enough Iron to meet current demands so Dolgavan Corporations have reached out to Liore's Iron Industry to help keep the current demands in place. The first shipments of Liore Iron Ore arrived 2 weeks ago and as demands will be staying the same for the time being. Liore Iron will more than likely be boosted by this as well and the economy of Liore will be growing due this development as well.

Dolgavan Economy Impacts:
In response to this news the Dolgavan Economy has grown and the markets are shooting up unemployment has gone down from 6.5% to now 3.4% in response. Steel stocks have risen sharply and the effects have been long lasting. Current projects such as the latest submarine project have lowered in cost as steel now is cheaper to acquire. Dolgavan construction projects will also be getting cheaper and Dolgava's economy will soon be relevant once again in the world stage. Dolgavan steel firms are already announcing more expansion projects as they looks to the continuation of the sanctions and also maybe competing with Yingdala for supremacy of the Steel industry. This for the the whole of Steel is good because it will naturally drive down prices and costs down for anyone and everyone. The Dolgavan Economy is showing increased growth through the second quarter and economists are optimistic about Dolgava's economy in the future. Only time will tell but for now these events have and will shape Dolgava moving forward there is not doubt of that.
