Chinasa: After over a year of ear deafening silence the Junta, represented by Prime Minister Moon-He and the Military Governing Council, has shockingly confirmed the death of former Prime Minister Emeka while denying their involvement in it. A spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior stated that "the former Prime Minister has died due to health complications around 4 months ago." The junta furthermore states that the death of former Justice minister Tong Tohyon and former Defense minister Ifeatu Onyekachi were the result of a plane crash in rural North Dovani as they were transported back home. This comes just after a report from human rights groups has confirmed that at least 2000 North Dovanians have been reported missing or confirmed dead since the Junta took power and there are reports of erected work camps particularly targetting the Huhoa population in the country as some of its tribal leaders had condemned the coup and the new Junta government. These work camps forcefully put dissidents not loyal to the regime to work in big infrastructural projects, particularly to finish the coastal highway project that the previous democratic regime had started. This project was halted as foreign funds dried up but thanks to help from Trigunia and these forced labor camps work has continued.

Prime Minister Moon-He has meanwhile not commented on any of the atrocities reported in the country, with his social media accounts primarily showing economic projects commenced by the regime and words of thanks to country's that have supported the Junta. Much mystery lingers around the reported atrocities and it is unclear what other crimes the Junta might be committing.

Chinasa: Prime Minister Moon-He has announced that North Dovani will formally leave the Dovani Pact next month after discussions with the foreign ministry and the Military Governing Council. This decision came after the pact had suspended North Dovani as a result of the military coup in the country. Moon-He stated that:

The Dovani Pact, a organization that should stand against liberal and western correctness, has turned into a apparatus to put Dovanian nations in the influence of Liore and its Kitembo Union and devour all the proud and independent people of Dovani. North Dovani will formally end its participation in a sham organization like the Dovani Pact and calls upon all independent self loving Dovanian nations to do the same.

The Prime Minister also thanked the Trigunian and Dankuk government for their apparent support and argued that "these willing nations should come closer together whenever the international order seeks to undermine our independence." The documents of withdrawal have already been prepared and the entire procedure is set to be done next month, ending North Dovanian participation in the Dovani Pact.

Chinasa: As the North Dovanian regime is facing more and more international isolation attempts it is now also in the midst of the first signs of armed struggle within its borders. According to several sources and Utari Mosir government officials fighting has erupted in southern North Dovani which is home to a majority of the Huhoa population. This comes as the Huhoa have become a scapegoat for the largely Kyo and Keobi dominated military regime, using Huhoan's as forced labourers or simply as a propaganda tool to distract from the increasingly opressive nature of the regime. The fighting has reportedly been between several small disorganized Huhoa militias and the ND Army, with several army posts overwhelmed as they had not expected a military struggle. The government of Prime Minister Moon-He responded to the reports, confirming there has been "treacherous activity in the south of the country" and stating that "more combat forces are being deployed to kill the traitors threatening state stability."

He also offered a stark warning to the international community:

If our government and its military discover any foreign involvement, be it directly or indirectly, in this new rebel movement we shall act strongly and descisively to protect our territorial sovereignty. The vipers of the international community and the Dovani Pact imperialist will not threaten the integrity of this country, our armed forces will do what is neccesary to protect our people and its territory.

Chinasa: Several independent media firms have seperately confirmed that a hospital in southern North Dovani which was still being actively worked in has been bombed and nearly completely destroyed by artillery fire coming from Junta positions outside the town of Bornu which is occupied by Huhoa rebel forces. The destruction of the hospital has reportedly cost the lifes of 200 civilians, including doctors and at least 15 children. Junta authorities have denied the bombing, arguing that rebel forces had used the hospital as a defensive position and no civilians were present at the site. International journalists present at the site have however confirmed the presence of dead children in the rubble of the hospital, which directly contradicts the statements made by the Junta. More towns and villages have been captured by rebel forces in the last few weeks while Junta forces have become increasingly more brutal in their attempts to squash the uprising. Unrest is also growing within other parts of North Dovani as word on the rebellion is spreading quickly and unrest even in Keobi and Kyo communities is rising, as dissatisfaction with the military regime grows by the day.

Prime Minister Moon-He has shown to be even more of a puppet in the last few months, only once commenting on the rebellion by saying that all "rebellious activity will be punished." Other then that the formal Prime Minister has only been seen at the opening of a new school in Jinppo and the opening of parts of the coastal highway system last week. He is staying on the background for the rest of the time as it becomes clearer en clearer that the Military Governing Council has taken most ruling duties upon itself.

With civilian deaths rising, the civil conflict is taking another turn.

Chinasa: A increasing number of North Dovanian soldiers is defecting to either the rebel side or trying to leave the country after defection, says a international watchdog monitoring the situation. Inside sources within the Junta have confirmed that "at least 2000 soldiers" have defected from its ranks in the last month alone as the situation on the ground becomes more dire. Evidence is showing that Huhoan rebel groups have taken more and more territory in the last few weeks, achieving breakthroughs in several parts of the frontline with countless of villages taken from government control and a pincer move currently encircling the major Huhoan city of Bakla. People in the city itself have reported extreme harassment by remaining Junta forces as they blame the local civilian population for aiding the rebels, which makes the advance of the militias even more necessary.

As rebel forces gain ground and the support for the Junta lowers by the day pressures from the rest of the country are reaching a boiling point. After 1.5 years of trying to supress and extinguish the rebel movement the armed forces have proven to be unable to provide what they promised, security, which is causing major unrest in the country. Thousands have taken to the streets in Jinppo and Chinasa, protesting the crackdown on Huhoan minorities and the worsening living conditions caused by crippling economic sanctions that are finally kicking in and affecting North Dovani in the last 2 months. With support for the Junta crumbling both within the military itself and within the population both the civilian government led by PM Moon-He as the Military Governing Council have issued orders to crack down even harder, with experts unsure if the tide of civil unrest can be turned back around.

At least for the Huhoan minority in the country it is important that peace may finally come, as international observers have reported the death of nearly 39.000 Huhoans, both combat and civilian, during the Junta its tenure with countless of their villages burned or damaged.
