Trigunian News AgencyPresident Vlasov arrives in Chinasa, chides World CongressMarch, 5199Chinasa, North Dovani - The Trigunian Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed that President Makar Vlasov, Prime Minister Ludmil Frolov, Foreign Affairs Minister Sonya Sokolova, and Trade, Industry and Economic Development Minister Kuzma Ivanov arrived in the North Dovani capital of Chinasa today. The high-level state visit comes on the heels of the recent news that North Dovani will not be cooperating with the World Congress Mission in North Dovani related to the allegations of war crimes during the North Dovani civil war recently. President Vlasov, a staunch supporter of North Dovani, condemned the move by the World Congress for failing to consult with North Dovani regarding the situation. "The World Congress continues to act as if it can violate sovereignty anywhere it chooses. The Security Council, while it serves a purpose, requires cooperation from governments." Opponents of Trigunia were quickly to strike down the Trigunian President and state that his words were false and that they did not paint an accurate picture of the World Congress or the World Congress' mandate that it had through its foundational charter. The state visit to Chinasa is expected to last several days and it is apparent that Trigunia has made a hard pivot towards supporting North Dovani and developing ties with the wider North Dovani community.
Foreign Minister Sonya Sokolova is expected to skip the trip back to Rodshydam and make a visit to Utari Mosir, notably the eastern portion of the country where the Kepi people, who claim themselves to be linked or "ethnically" Trigunia, have developed a strong basis of support and have slowly clawed back significant rights after decades of being repressed by the Kunihito people. Trigunia has generally maintained a "hands off" approach to their former colony that was founded in the city of Abakiye once known as Novy Rodshyadam. Deputy Prime Minister of Economic Development is expected to visit Abakiye to discuss the opening of a natural gas and oil terminal in Abakyie which would be among the first in the Sea of Carina that is not owned by Ostland, which has often dominated the Dovani continent for oil, gas and petroleum-based product production.
