Newly elected leader of the BPA party calls for unity with HH under one banner

Yishelem, Beiteynu - The June 5312 general elections resulted in a resounding defeat for the Beiteynuese People's Alliance, and this prompted the resignation of party leader Rebecca Horowitz later that election month. Horowitz humbly accepted responsibility for the electoral loss, acknowledging the party's failure to secure even a single seat. She stated that the outcome has allowed her to reflect on her leadership and expressed her deepest gratitude to every member of the BPA for their support during her term as leader.

Nevertheless, her resignation triggered a leadership election within the BPA which resulted in Minister of Internal Affairs Nathan Weiss being elected unopposed. Nathan Weiss in his inaugural address as leader wasted no time and called for unity between the BPA and Hevrat Hashmal, calling for a proposed formation of a single party.
I believe that a united front between my party and HH will be more resilient and will in turn foster a renewed sense of purpose and strength. By bringing together the center-right and center-left under one banner, we will be continuing our work in making Beiteynu prosperous while championing domestic and social policies here at home.

BPA Leader Nathan Weiss

The response from members of the HH remains uncertain, however, some members within the BPA have expressed caution citing the ideological differences. Meanwhile, political analysts have stated that a merger between the two political parties under one banner will create a formidable centrist force in the country's political landscape. This merger could counterbalance both sides which could be beneficial in addressing the nation's pressing challenges as it faces the aftermath of the Trigunian crisis.

Nathan Weiss stated that the idea is to focus on the pressing domestic issues that have been caused by the Trigunian crisis which has frozen investments and also resulted in the decline of trade which has had a negative impact on the country's economy. Weiss aims to restore confidence in the economy, stimulate growth and create new job opportunities. He added that this proposal will resonate well with the HH and has called upon the center-right party to embrace this opportunity and unite together.

MOIA and BPA leader Nathan Weiss gains support in HH
The newly elected leader of the Beiteynuese People's Alliance and current Minister of Internal Affairs has been gaining momentum in Hevrat Hashmal's circles, after he rallied members of both parties to form a united center front, citing both parties's long history of cooperation

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Meaholit Shteman, the Minister of Finance, has called on Rosh HaMemshala Ariel Navron Hashim and party leader of Hevrat Hashmal to address the party's leadership in light of Nathan Weiss's call for a united center front. Shteman, another avid moderate of the political arena, has found himself aligned with various policies and members of the BPA throughout the years, having worked in conjunction with its leadership on several policies, especially during the recession. "Our party's policies of the past have increased our country's exposure to geopolitical events across Terra", he stated earlier this morning, "and albeit paving the way for the expansion of several of our industries, the domestic agenda has largely been absent save but for the leadership of the BPA in recent decades". The MOFIN cited that the collapse of the right wing of HH just before the recession was a testament to the party "clinging on" to the policies of the past that can no longer serve the country, nor the party itself. "We've been cooperating with the BPA for decades now, this should not surprise either side".

HH and BPA in the beginning of their partnership prior to the recession were mostly comprised of strong right and left wings accordingly. Throughout the years and decades of extended cooperation and joint administrations and largely thanks to the changed political landscape in the beginning and aftermath of the recession, both parties have been gradually moving towards the center, accepting each other's policies on either ends of the spectrum. An increasing number of HH members and officials have been steadily calling in favour of a united center Beiteynuese People's Hashmal party.

In a time of turmoil and change of pace in domestic and foreign Beiteynuese affairs, a united center front can pave the way for a solid administration that might be able to lead the country away from the instability and uncertainty it's currently facing.

Digital transformation initiative completes in Tukarali
The 50M LOD robust program of new digital government services and the upgrade of the country's internet framework for G2C, G2B and G2G platforms has been completed with a 3 year delay, the MOIT's Department of Digital Transformation & Governance reports

Image

Sangon, Tukarali - The 50M LOD initiative passed by the Knesset in 5302 and initially intended to be completed in 5310, has seen its fruitful end, after the MOIT's Department of Digital Transformation & Governance reported that the final software development contractors have delivered upon the remaining milestones of the 87 projects marked as part of the program. Aimed at the modernisation of the Tukarense digital government framework with the update of existing digital services as well as the creation of new digital services geared towards enabling citizens and businesses to access and work with state services in a much more seamless and efficient manner, the program is expected to save the government of Tukarali a total of 47B LOD in expenses over the course of the next decade. Intended initially as a countermeasure to the electoral fiascos that marked Tukarali's history at the change of the century, the robust program focused on electoral related processes that were later extended by a plethora of horizontal services, such as new booking platforms for state organisations, digital transactions, digital portfolios and wallets, management and oversight of government related services and a developers and creative repository for future contractors to keep on extending the digital network. The effort was supervised by the Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport, its Department of Digital Transformation & Governance and the Tactical Bureau of Intelligence - the entity responsible for the Terran Wide Web - much in a similar manner that the Beiteynuese Government oversaw the modernisation of Beiteynu's digital government framework in the 5230s. The entire program has been handed off to the Tukarense Government, while Beiteynuese entities will remain onboard in an advisory role, as the framework and existing and future digital government services reach the intended technical maturity in the next decade.

The initiative was also sponsored by the Office of Seleyan Affairs of the Medinat Department, which has undertaken joint efforts with the Lourennais government towards the stability and prosperity of the continent of Seleya, with the goal of creating the necessary incentives for Beiteynuese companies to increase trade. The new digital framework will help ensure and guarantee transparency and efficiency with the Tukarense Government for decades to come.

Idea of BPA-HH merger gains momentum with resignation of MOFIN
Fuelled by the leadership of Minister of Internal Affairs Nathan Weiss of the BPA, members from both coalitions have began officially declaring their support in favour of the formation of a Beiteynuese People's Hashmal comprised of center left and center right wings

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Amidst a stagnating political and economic situation under the Hashim Administration and with the gradual decline of traction and support in favour of Ariel Navron Hashim, the HH's leadership has began declaring its official support in favour of a BPA-HH merger, fuelled by Nathan Weiss's agenda towards extended inclusivity on both sides of the aisle of the current spectrum of Beiteynuese politics, which has been comprised for the better part of the previous decade by 2 parties revolving around the center and agreeing on almost every policy. Meaholit Shteman, Minister of Finance, has resigned his position as a testament of support towards the formation of a merged political coalition between the BPA and the HH, cited as the "Beiteynuese People's Hashmal" and to be comprised of a center left (CL) bloc by current members of the BPA and the center right (CR) bloc by current members of HH. The new merged coalition has received support across the spectrum, with an astounding 59.3% of the population standing behind the idea and calling for a united center representation led by the flaring leadership of Nathan Weiss. "This country needs determination to move forward to its next stage, after 100 years of an extreme make over primarily led by an elite HH and a struggling BPA to balance the scales", was the comment of now former MOFIN Meaholit Shteman.

Sources at the Office of the Rosh HaMemshala have hinted that this might be the last term of Ariel Navron Hashim, as the Prime Minister has been steadily swaying in favour of the merged coalition under the leadership of Nathan Weiss, agreeing that "Beiteynu needs to move forward with a united resolve".

Rosh HaMemshala announces intention to step down
Beiteynu's government enters a transitional period after this morning's announcement by Prime Minister Ariel Navron Hashim of stepping down, declaring his support on a Weiss led merged coalition between the BPA and HH, dubbed "Beiteynuese People's Hashmal"

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Following Meaholit Shteman's (depicted in the photo) resignation as Minister of Finance under the Hashim Administration as an action of support for the merger of the Beiteynuese People's Alliance and Hevrat Hashmal under the banner of leadership by Minister of Internal Affairs Nathan Weiss, Prime Minister Ariel Navron Hashim has announced that he will be stepping down from the post as soon as both factions have completed their merger. "We all recognise the new political spectrum", the PM stated, "and we must invest towards a path that will generate the momentum for the country to move forward". Pending the resignation of Ariel Navron Hashim and the restructure of both parties, former MOFIN Meaholit Shteman will be the one leading the center right bloc of the new coalition, comprised in its majority of HH members. Both have publicly declared their support for Weiss's candidacy for Rosh HaMemshala.

The Knesset will be calling for early elections as soon as Nathan Weiss and the BPA have also completed the necessary actions into reforming as the center left bloc under a united center banner of the new Beiteynuese People's Hashmal party.

Meaholit Shteman will serve as Ramatkal to the Weiss Administration, should Nathan Weiss win the elections.

Weiss Administration outlines foreign policy on Majatra, Keris and Seleya
With the Ministry of Foreign Affairs torn in Majatran relations, concerned on the long-term prospects of Beiteynuese-Trigunian relations, and by extend with the continent of Keris and focused on seriously investing in a partnership with Lourenne on Seleya

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Political analysts have marked the Weiss Administration, led by Nathan Weiss of the center left bloc of the merged BPA-HH faction dubbed Beiteynuese People's Hashmal, as the beginning of the country's comeback from 13 years of recession, political stagnancy and a recent 4 year financial crisis triggered by the disruption of trade in Keris and Trigunia. As the government prepares to realign Beiteynu's domestic agenda away from the elitism crafted by past policies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs looks outwards in balancing the scales of the recent freeze in investments towards more solid and long-term relations, seeking to shrink its extensively spread out outreach and thus focus it on key players such as Lourenne, Istalia and Kundrati.

On Majatra, the Medinat Department is torn. While the Beiteynuese Government will continue to honour, pursue and enable its recent alliance and diplomatic and trade agreements with Pontesi and Selucia, respectively - with the Ministry of Defense looking to extend its naval operations and coordination with the government of Selucia to a greater degree, including the uptick in Beiteynuese-Cildanian trade since 5290, relations on the southern end of the Majatran continent are almost non-existent and relations in the eastern wing have been deteriorating, despite the firm grasp of bilateral relations with Kafuristan and Istalia which have remained unhindered for the better part of 3 decades, referring of course to the recent diplomatic cut-off from Badara and the Beiteynuese private sector basking in tax evasion and fraud (allegedly) in Solentia, costing the Beiteynuese Government millions in corporate taxes. Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have continued to attribute Beiteynu's reluctance in pursuing relations in Majatra due to the largely spread out cultural differences and the seeming bias against Yeudism and the Yeudi culture - the failed Hashim Conference on the MEA/MSO is a testament to that end. Diplomacy in Majatra will remain in the sphere of commerce, with the Olami Trade Association reporting that it will focus on enabling joint cultural programs with Selucia, joint investments with Kafuristan on the tourism industry and of course, the increasing ties of the defense sector with Istalia, especially in the aviation and aeronautics wing of the Equifund.

On Keris, the crack in Beiteynuese-Trigunian relations noticed in 5311 damaged investor confidence to an extent that, despite the Trigunian government's reassurances the following year on honouring its economic policies in international trade and its alliance with Beiteynu, commerce has largely remained frozen on its tracks, with the Olami Trade Association reporting that net trade between Beiteynu and Trigunia has shrunk by 3.2B LOD in less than 2 years, breaking the initial projections and momentum since both nations shook hands and became allies in 5288. With the 5305 Beiker (Beiteynuese - Keris) Agreement remaining practically in stasis, the 5286 joint investment in Brakav with Neftkomp frozen and the 5290 plans of expanding Neftkomp's petroleum refinement operations in Sholemberg postponed indefinitely, the Olami Trade Association warns of a continuous decline in commercial traffic and relations over the course of the decade. "Trigunia's shut off and its internal instability are fuel to the vicious cycle of economic decline on both ends due to our close ties", Noah Kadiyot, the Head of the Medinat Department, commented when asked about the impact of the Trigunian crisis, further adding that "the State of Beiteynu will remain vested in remediating the situation together with its ally in the north". It's important to note that the other main driver of relations - excluding the increased trade ties of 15B LOD per year - is the fact that Neftkomp and the Beiteynuese shipping industry have delved into a rather close partnership on maritime petroleum distribution since 5273, which, despite the recent collapse of Sholemberg Sealines, is still marked by a 6.3% marketshare by Hadayim - with Neftkomp being one of its major shareholders.

On Seleya, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to pursue an alliance with Beiteynu's newfound partner in the east - and the continent's regional syndicator - Lourenne, an effort that began in 5301 with both sides hopeful and vested into a robust diplomatic, trade and military agreement. With Valruzia's recent economic liberation reforms - a country with a notable Yeudi population, the digital transformation initiatives in Tukarali since 5302 led by the Beiteynuese Government, Aldegar's solid positioning as a rising trade partner since 5293, the joint investments by Beiteynuese and Kundrati financial institutions into clean energy in Likatonia since 5297 and even considering the rumours circulating on repairing the broken Beiteynuese-Rildanorian relations, a Beisel (Beiteynuese - Seleyan) Agreement seems to be back on the table as a hopeful prospect for Beiteynuese foreign relations in the continent, under the mediation of Lourenne, with the Beiteynuese Government looking to finally establish a solid diplomatic and trade framework for Beiteynu's shipping, travel and financial sectors to expand their commercial activity on a continent that's been longed marked by uncertainty and caution from the private sector. Both the Lourennais and Beiteynuese governments have stated multiple times over the past decade that they will be joining efforts into investing in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors of Seleyan nations towards the stability and prosperity of the continent, with the Olami Trade Association also confirming that Kundrati institutions will also be joining the table of discussions (with Tomasadyn National, Ashalon Bank BEIFG's investment buddy, leading on Kundrati's end).

Baruch's assassination by a Luthori citizen was staged by the Agency
Leaked transcripts from the Baruch Tapes of the MOJ's investigation in the 5280s of the Terran Remediation Agency's misconducts domestically and abroad reveal how the former Prime Minister Baruch Lea Tzafrir's assassination by a Luthori national was part of the Agency's plan to infiltrate Artania

Yishelem, Beiteynu - It would seem that Cunnington Marit's - one of the TRA's former General Directors during its peak era of global operations - imprisonment back in 5280 would have been the last news on the Agency's notorious scandals, from its pivotal role in the collapse of the regime in Dankuk, its backchannel diplomacy and acts of blackmail in the Third Solentian Civil War, its meddling in the collapse of the Malivian government and its part in misplacing Kundrati diplomats, to name a few, however, yesterday's leaked transcripts from the MOJ's investigation back in the 5280s reveal the Agency's biggest scandal, yet.

A dark blob in recent Beiteynuese history, Baruch Lea Tzafrir's assassination in the 5220s triggered a cascading effect that eventually resulted in the Intelligence Pact, raising quite a few eyebrows across the decades - especially from North Dovani, Lodamun, Kafuristan and Dorvik, even from historians to this very day - from the frenzy of Beiteynuese-Luthorian relations to the release of that incomprehensible 3647-page redacted report on the international manhunt for the perpetrator(s) that spanned 3 continents to the end of the crisis with Luthori, which eventually led to a now curious ratification of a bunch of international agreements from Kundrati. As derived from the leaked transcripts of the MOJ's investigation, the whole thing started when the Agency began monitoring the rising traits of Ordosocialism in Malivia and Kundrati and used the GID and Monsoon from Kafuristan to divert attention to obscure terrorist cells of multi-continental origin in the hopes of "finding a no questions asked scapegoat that would trace back to Kundrati's precarious neighbour", one of the transcripts notes. Another transcript notes how the Tzafrir Policy - the aggressive foreign agenda of the early 53rd century pursued by HH led administrations - largely enforced by the Terran Remediation Agency, had its eyes set on the continent of Artania early on, cited with "finding a waypoint in enacting intelligence operations by any means necessary", with the goal of "establishing Beiteynuese presence in at least 1 nation in Dorvik's backyard", which, as it seems, eventually led to the alliance with Kundrati and the immense commercial presence of the Beiteynuese private sector in Kundrati, almost 100 years later. Other points in the transcripts describe how the Agency leveraged the tensions between Kundrati and Luthori - and the Baruch assassination - to solidify ties with the Kundrati government and intelligence community before the expansion of the Agency's operations during the Intelligence Pact, of which Kundrati eventually took the mantle of leadership.

The most shocking discovery in the transcripts, however, is the fact that Baruch Lea Tzafrir, Beiteynu's former Prime Minister, founder of Hevrat Hashmal and the Terran Remediation Agency itself, was assassinated by the Agency's very own Cunnington Marit, and not a Luthori citizen.

Medinat Department condemns Luthori's reaction as "ludicrous"
Yishelem cuts off diplomatic ties with the Artanian country in response to the deportation of Beiteynuese diplomats and a reaction deemed as "ludicrous" by Fort-William in response to the leaked Agency transcripts revealing the entrapment of a Luthori citizen for the staged assassination of Baruch Lea Tzafrir

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - "They are definitely not working with us", was the response of Noah Kadiyot, Head of the Medinat Department, when asked about how the Beiteynuese Government is working with Luthori, as per Foreign Secretary Garrett R. Bennett's statement in the Luthori media, towards remediating the situation, in light of the ensuing scandal following the release of the Agency's transcripts. "Fort-William has jumped the gun, which is not surprising coming from one of Terra's historically most imperialist nations", he added further, also remarking on how "Luthori has been looking for an excuse to target Beiteynu and the Yeudi people, long coveting the return of Yishelem under imperial rule, a fact we have politely disregarded in recent centuries". The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that it will be cutting off diplomatic ties with Luthori effective immediately, with Yeudi people residing in Luthori forced to consider locking their homes and businesses and heading to Kundrati, as prospects on the improvement of relations are quickly evaporating, thanks to the century-old ambiguity of bilateral relations.

The Ministry of Defense and the Terran Remediation Agency will be convening this week to discuss matters of intelligence and security in the region, especially revolving around the Artanian Fleet and the scheduled expansion of military forces of the Beiteynuese Naval Command in Kundrati.

Beiteynuese Command expands on the Artanian Fleet in Kundrati
In light of the recent breakdown of Beiteynuese-Luthori relations, Beiteynu's fleet stationed in Kundrati, which has largely been seen as a placeholder force "held together with ducktape", completes its 5304 military overhaul project after being expedited by the Beiteynuese Naval Command

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - The Head of the Beiteynuese Command, the organisation responsible for the overall management and oversight of the Beiteynuese Defense Force under the Ministry of Defense, has confirmed that the Beiteynuese Naval Command has expedited the completion of the expansion of the Artanian Fleet stationed in Kundrati as stipulated in the provisos related to the Artanian Fleet of the Naval Expansion Act of 5304, Beiteynu's 2nd major military initiative in less than 3 decades. The Artanian Fleet, led by Admiral Kib'atz Yadomiv since 5288 and composed solely of the 14th Flotilla's 141st and 142nd Tactical Squadrons, has mostly been regarded as a "diplomatic force" that has remained inactive, conducting limited exercises and operations with the Kundrati navy, largely due to concerns of the operational capability of the vessels and in fear of antagonising Luthori. Both squadrons have been comprised of a meagre number of old vessels of the Yeudi Fleet, which have steadily been replaced by newer vessels of the Equifund (mostly) assembled in the shipyards of Kundrati, with the defense contracts assigned primarily to Shafir Koalit, KDC, Beir Leshet and Tzafrir Defense Industries. The Beiteynuese Government's cautious steps in military expenditures after the country's exit from its 13 year recession had led the project to succumb to multiple delays and postponements until 5307/5310, when the Beiteynuese Command acquired the 2 out of 6 destroyers from Lourenne and Canrille Defense Enterprise designated for the Artanian Fleet.

The new formation and composition of the Artanian Fleet is now marked by the 14th and 15th Flotillas composed of the 141st, 142nd, 151st and 152nd Tactical and Support Squadrons, with a total of 10 Super Dvora MK-III patrol boats, 8 Reshef-class missile boats, 2 Assad-class corvettes, 2 Kotor-class frigates (of Kundrati design) and 2 Leygues-class destroyers by Canrille Defense Enterprise (with the Horizon-class destroyers designated for the Yeudi Fleet), with the 151st and 152nd Squadrons representing the noticeable increase in the Artanian Fleet's capability and firepower.

The Beiteynuese Naval Command will pursue and conduct joint naval exercises with Kundrati south of the island of Extea in the coming months.
