Digitali Nimshal launches "Life in Beiteynu" on gov.bei
December 5373

- Elections place HA in majority; is the right weirdly and for no reason back on track?
- Medinat Department calls "discussions with the political arena in Fort William" as overwhelmingly fruitful in securing the alliance and Yeudis in Luthori
- Dundorfian and Lourennais Governments continue talks on digital transformation; projects to be announced in the middle-term

Himmelshtern, Beiteynu - Amidst the chaos, ruin and turmoils across most of the continents in Terra, comes a delightful surprise from the organisational maniacs up in the Digitali Nimshal, the Beiteynuese Government's digital governance and transformation arm. Decades in the works, the new "Life in Beiteynu" section on the government's portal promises to offer a one-stop-shop for citizens and businesses alike to easily explore and discover the necessary state information on various aspects of Beiteynu's governance by placing "Beiteynuese life" at the epicentre of organisation.

The Digitali Nimshal has confirmed that it will continue working on "making information more accessible and easier to understand" for the foreseeable future, as the Beiteynuese Government nears the end of its digital transformation program started back in 5228.

Ramatkal addresses situation in Luthori
May 5374

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - It seems that contrary to the recent international trend of condemnations, warnings, pull outs and possible sanctions against Fort William, the State of Beiteynu alongside a few key players from Luthori's network, including but not limited to the Kundrati Union, have refrained from maintaining a hard position on the domestic strife currently plaguing the Holy Luthorian Empire. The Trigunian President's "counter-position" earlier this year opened up the curtain for the opposing side to enter the spotlight amidst the "status quo" of international responses. Although the Medinat Department did recognise Rodshyadam's "subtle jab" at Yishelem in the President's statement, it did admit that it came with recognisable merit, considering the roller coaster of bilateral relations since 5288 largely driven by Beiteynu's aggressive Tzafrir Policy in foreign affairs.

Ramatkal Benjamin Benowitz confirmed that the Beiteynuese Government has received assurances that regardless of the outcome of the political turmoils in Luthori, Fort William will remain true to its alliance with Beiteynu and continue to ensure the protection of Yeudis in the country.

"Simply put", the Ramatkal concluded, "it is not the business of any country to interfere in the domestic affairs of another, sovereign, state; be it directly or indirectly in punishing the popular choice made by the citizens of that state".

Failed rocket launch lights up the Desert Bank
July 5374

Image

Amshinov, Beiteynu - Sato, one of the Equifund's developers of missiles and weapons systems, performed its first rocket launch to quite a spectacular disaster earlier today, lighting up the sky over the Desert Bank southeast of Amshinov. The company has been attempting to develop a small lift launch vehicle dubbed the Shavit, reportedly under a 2.3B LOD grant for the research and development of space hardware; some technology experts have been speculating that the Beiteynuese Government is looking to acquire its own capability into building and launching satellites. The MOD's Department of Defence Contracts however did not confirm that such a grant exists, leaving further speculation as to whether this is a project undertaken by the Ministry of Science & Technology, instead.

Although Sato did confirm that the explosion was indeed its first attempted launch of the Shavit rocket, the company's executives declined to comment upon being further questioned on the project's context. Black Beisa, Sato's primary R&D partner, was also unavailable for a comment.

Authorities quickly rushed to the scene and cleared out any debris.

Final blow to the Tzafrir Policy: intelligence to be ousted from treaties
August 5374

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Beiteynuese intelligence has sneakily evaded not 1, but 2 subsequent amendments to foreign policy, including the Weiss Administration's hammer when it was revealed the TRA had killed its own founder and former Prime Minister Baruch Lea Tzafrir. The "hammer", officially known as the Weiss Policy implemented in the beginning of the 54th century, was widely regarded as Nathan Weiss's fury in the breathtaking reveal of the TRA's biggest scandal 2 years prior to that amendment; a reveal which almost shattered the Artanian network, including the collapse of bilateral relations with Fort William.

The Weiss Policy was destined to replace the Tzafrir Policy's sneaky accords [diplomacy, trade, partnership]; something that never happened. By "sneaky", we mean the fact that those treaties continue to allow the Terran Remediation Agency to operate almost everywhere, with more than 40 ratifiers combined at one point.

With the pressure from the ongoing investigations into the TRA's misconduct pertaining to Cildanian relations with Yishelem mounting up and casting a shadow to the Haviv Policy of 5353 which sought to realign Beiteynu as a facilitator, the Ramatkal himself has undertaken the task of placing the final nail in the coffin of the Beiteynuese legacy of intelligence meddling since Baruch Lea Tzafrir launched the Beiteynu Accord of Diplomacy in 5200. Initially planned to be launched in 5315, the release of the Beiteynuese Framework of Trade & Commerce will mark the gradual phase out of both the Accord of Trade and the Accord of Partnership. The Medinat Department has also confirmed that the Beiteynu Accord of Diplomacy will be nullified automatically by the end of the decade.

The Office of the Ramatkal will be reaching out to countries worldwide on the implementation of the fresh Rafael Policy now in effect.

Aristocrat-Goldbloom says IRS 'needs to do a better job'
The new MOFIN, husband to former PM Elias Goldbloom's daughter Sharon, asks the Internal Revenue Service to do more.
January 5375

in other news:
- Wealthy people 'displeased' over MH appointed to MOFIN, poll says.
- Police still stuck in Noah Kadiyot's case as Secret Service 'temporarily suspended' cooperation.

YISHELEM, ENDILD - The new Minister for Finance (MOFIN) Nathaniel Aristocrat-Goldbloom, appointed by Prime Minister Rafael Matan following the 5374 election, has announced that his department is currently facing revenue losses over tax evasion and fraud, committed largely by the highest fortunes in Beiteynu, for a total missed revenue of some 15 Billions BEIs. Aristocrat-Goldbloom, member of the wealthy Aristocrat family who married Sharon Goldbloom, Elias's daughter, donates 60% of his monthly income to charity and was known, before politics, for being passionate about the fight against poverty and other socialist causes, who caused alienation between him and his 'natural' social class, the wealthy.
Aristocrat-Goldbloom explicitly takes aim at the IRS, a traditionally independent agency of our Government, to which he demands to do a better job [in collecting all revenues], and has announced that regular meetings between IRS and MOFIN will take place to address the missing revenues crisis. It is unclear what the HA, a business-friendly and pro tax reduction party, thinks about the move which could harm its most prominent member: Ramatkal Benjamin Benowitz, a well-known billionaire, which hasn't commented on the situation at all.
In my new position as Finance Minister, I'm bringing the fight against poverty right inside the Power's Palaces, and I will do whatever thing I'm able to do to fight poverty. [...] IRS is an independent agency of the Government, but I decided to meet its Director privately to discuss the missing revenues: it is a lot and we could lift many people out of poverty with those money! I asked them to do a better job.
- Nathaniel Aristocrat-Goldbloom, Beiteynu's new Finance Minister, at his inauguaral presser.

BREAKING: Massive explosion destroys Sato's complex in Amshinov
May 5375

Image

Amshinov, Beiteynu - A raging fire is currently underway in one of Sato's complexes in southeast Amshinov, where reportedly another failed rocket launch ended in tragedy, with 13 wounded and 2 killed, so far. Preliminary reports indicate that a misfire occurred before the launch's countdown was completed, forcing Sato's mission control to stage a deliberate explosion of the rocket, to avoid it launching into an unknown trajectory. As of this moment, it is unclear whether the misfire was the only component "gone wrong", but one anonymous source from the company's headquarters in Amshinov hinted that there was a failure in the rocket's guiding system, as well, forcing engineers to "blow it up" as they ultimately couldn't stop its launch nor control "where it would go".

The split second decision making that very highly likely took place has costed the company another 27M LOD, without baring any results. Thankfully, firefighters at the scene have been able to pull water directly from the Yeladim Lake, where the complex sits at.

It remains to be seen whether Sato will continue undeterred or pause its research and development of the Shavit rocket.

Digitali Nimshal begins review of Lourennais and Dundorfian digital affairs
November 5375

Image

Himmelshtern, Beiteynu - The Beiteynuese Government's digital arm has initiated the assessment period of the digital infrastructure of the Lourennais and Dundorfian government networks and services, as part of decades-old discussions on digital transformation. The success of Beiteynu's programs and initiatives domestically, including the extended upgrade of the Tukarense digital portal in 5313, have attracted the interest of foreign governments, especially those being close partners to our country, in finding ways to replicate the efficiency and ease of access and maintenance to state information on the digital spectrum.

The Digitali Nimshal will conduct a thorough review and analysis of the architecture and existing sitemaps of digital services and portals, upon which it will present its findings. Should the reports be satisfactory, the organisation will then begin the design phase of the projects, in presenting its proposals for upgraded architecture and sitemaps, before proceeding to implementation (should the green light be given).

Contrary to the case with Tukarali, the Bureau of Keshef Management will be "sitting this one out", considering the already high efficiency of both the Lourennais and Dundorfian Governments; thus, the project will be directly financed by Lourenne and Dundorf respectively. There is speculation that the organisation will bring aboard contractors from the Beiteynuese information technology industry to expedite the programs and maximise efficiency.

Rocket debris falls off the sky northwest of Cildania
April 5376

Image

Amshinov, Beiteynu - A year after the devastating failed rocket launch that destroyed one of Sato's complexes in southeast Amshinov in the North Bank, the company managed to successfully launch its first Shavit rocket earlier this morning. However, Sato has just released a press statement confirming that the rocket has "blown up" northwest of Cildania as it reached the higher altitudes of the atmosphere. The company did affirm how the launch was successful and that navigational and guiding systems operated to maximum efficiency and accuracy with quite the satisfactory results, however, the rocket's exterior shields failed at the lower pressures as the rocket reached "peak altitude", resulting in the fuselage "cracking" mid flight, leading to an explosion.

The debris has insofar made no damages anywhere as it's still falling in the deep sea northwest of Cildania. Curiously, Sato called the launch "a successful failure", in attempting to remind investors that rocket science is not something "taken lightly and easily".
