Eastern Development Organization Bends Over Backwards to Support Dovanian Development and Integration

Esteemed Doctor of Novani, Kahnawake Wahta, formally announced the "Red-Green Initiative 5600" (RGI-5600) in the National College today. The RGI calls for the massive adaptation of both geothermal and green energies in order for Novani to be completely carbon-neutral by 5600, in 100 years. The name is derived from the red of the magma needed for the geothermal energy and the green is derived from not only the general concept of green, but that of Uranium. RGI puts a special emphasis on the exponential improvement of Novani's stagnant nuclear energy industry. The ambitious plan began at the turn of the century included the final draft of the 5500-5505 Five Year Plan for the National Economy as well as ongoing policy initiatives to seek partners to build a comprehensive anti-imperialist, anti-exploitation bloc in Terran politics.

Dr. Wahta noted that:

Of the 12 nuclear reactors that currently exist within our country, 4 have been shuttered and 5 are undergoing extensive repairs, leaving only 3 in working condition. This is abysmal and unfit of our state. RGI-5600 will ensure that our nation emerges from this new century as one of Terra's leading net energy exporters and research hubs.

Dr. Wahta, who ascended to the role of the Doctor in 5496 following exceptional performance and evaluation, has been seen as a trailblazing firebrand reformer intent on moving Novanian politics in a dynamic direction following decades of stability. He is known for his hardline stances in the Novanian Progressive Movement as an unadbashed anti-imperialist and Metzist, calling for an increase in the "atuarkist position" and self-reliance (Novanian: 주체) as well as advocating for a full move of the economic system "away from the corruption of capitalism". These efforts were significant in reshaping national identity upon the finalization that the Central and Eastern peoples of Novani were small settler populations. The Skennen'kó:wa Nuclear Power Plant announced completion of the first formed nuclear reactor. Skennen'kó:wa (Novanian: ᄭㅔ넨코와), which means "Great Peace" in the Novanian language, was chosen as the name of the new plant in honor of the hopes of the nation to move foward in clean net zero carbon emission technologies. This brings the total amount of working or near-operative-condition nuclear plants in the nation up to 8, alongside the Otsi'tsa, Karonhià, Atonhnhet, Ka'shatsténh, A'ka:ratsi', O'so:ra, and Jangpung plants. Two plants, the Ionontakwarontóntie's and Paeksu plants remain closed, while two others , the Taesan and Jangrok plants, are currently under extensive renovation. All of this comes as part of the government's recent push to heavily expand the domestic nuclear energy industry in an effort to make Novani into a net energy exporter.

Esteemed Doctor of Novani, Kahnawake Wahta, today made a speech in which he announced that he had come to 'firmly support Metzism upon a scientific and materialist basis'. 5505 CENSUS DATA RELEASED

New data from the 5505 Census has been completed and released. Most notably, new ethnic numbers revealed that our new understanding of the Novanian people is shifting. Currently, the population is divided primarily by northerners (54%) followed by westerners (34%), southerners (8%), and easterners (3%), with 1% of the population coming from elsewhere. Atheism continues to constitute the majority of professed faith at 84%, followed thereafter by Longhouseism at 12% (카논사요, kanónhsa:io).

Doctor of Novani Eze Okparo and Foreign Minister of Novani Min Heecheol today returned from a visit to the capital of the Xsampan Democratic Republic, Metz-Leonid. FM Min hailed the visit as a historic upgrade of relations between the two Dovanian nations who are both grounded in governance based on science, reason, and the collective liberation of humanity from misery and poverty. All throughout the week the Doctor met with his counterpart, General Secretary of the Xsampan Communist Party Lhundrup Mipham, to discuss the evolving and strengthening ties between the partners.

A new document, the Nova-Xsampan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty (CSPT), was signed as it replaced the old Nova-Xsampan Treaty of Basic Relations (TBR) that has dictated diplomacy between the nations since Xsampa first recognized the reformed government of Novani in 5390. The CSPT includes a research agreement facilitating the free transfer of research and cooperation between Nova-Xsampan national university systems, channels for military intelligence sharing, and joint research into improvement of ballistics systems as employed by the two militaries. In addition, immediate lines of communication are to be established between the Doctor of Novani and the Xsampan General Secretary to ensure smooth and ready communication between the two governments at all times. Finally and most notably, Novani and Xsampa have entered into a defensive military alliance - both parties have promised to declare reciprocal war on any power that wages war against the other signatory. It is the first and so far only defensive pact Novani has established with another nation since the Progressive Revolution.

Doctor Okparo declared thus in his farewell address to the mountainous city:

Doctor of Novani Eze Okparo today announced a new prohibition of the wearing of traditional clothing by government employees and on public land. Doctor Okparo cited that the continued use of such improper attire called back to the reactionary legacies of feudalism and the oppression of man by man. Going forward, he declared that Novani should adopt a "modern and unanimous look" among all the people regardless of their regional origin. This means a uniform national style of collared shirts, slacks, and neckwear for male civil servants and blouses, skirts, and jackets for female civil servants, with a comprehensive dress code expected to be published within the government shortly. In this way, the Doctor proclaimed that the national unity would be strengthened.

This profound change will alter the look and appearance of the Novanian nation on the world stage. This also means an end to the wearing of the iconic Habar Kada hat, reminiscent of the Kufi hat, the Kat hat (a large wide-brimmed horsehair hat), and Okpu Agụ̄ (somewhat like a phrygian cap) often seen on the heads of authority figures within the Novanian government. Exceptions have been granted to the Ụka Nke Chọṅguk, the Masallacin Tarayyar Conkuƙ, and Seolbisa Temple due to the government's acknowledgement of their historic significance among the Novanian people.
